First heard this back in 1953 in Paris as I watched the movie, "Forbidden Games," (Jeux Interdits) for which it was the theme song. Have loved it ever since and learned to play it on the classical guitar. Can't play the guitar anymore because of age, but now play it on my harmonica. The rendition of the tune by this young woman ranks among the very best that I've heard. Congratulations and thanks so much for bringing your musical gift to us.
Lots of versions of this piece on RUclips but this one with her variations is by far my favourite. Great playing and perfect tempo. It would inspire me to learn the guitar but I can’t cope with having long fingernails.

Excellent performance! Many years ago I had classical guitar lessons in Spain which was made even more difficult by the terminology and the solfa scale. I learned to play this but without constant practice I just about lost it again. Your playing brings back great memories and shows me that I wasn't even near to perfection by a mile... Bravo!

I've never heard this version of romance. I've always played an easy version of it with just using open strings, playing the bottom string for the melody lol. I think it's time i learn it the right way, while avoiding coronavirus here in San Diego, California. Thank you!
This is Rosalind's own version, I've just learned it myself, and it's absolutely gorgeous to play - and not so difficult. The TAB and score are available on their website (quite cheap too).

I had a flood of different emotions listening to this beautiful guitar composition: first I felt happiness followed by deep depression. Then I was surprised to be conflicted between both anger and sleepiness. In the end the emotion we commonly refer to as envy was the predominant feel that crushed my spirit. Great job!
