Great video and thanks for the mention about the time it takes. Looks like an involved process, but worth it in the long term.
Floor looks better than most of our floors!
josh we had to patch the floors in some spots on that truck
About how long do you let the adhesive out-gas and get tacky? Great video 👍
its a little different for each person I wait a few minutes and test in a small spot to see if it gets tacky.
After I replaced the inner rubber on the door I need to Adjust the door. How do you adjust the door? 1971 f100
there should be adjustments in the fender where the door bolts up to. You should be able to loosen them and make some adjustments.
that rust is more likely from the windshield, many trucks like that one have that problem.
That's what got the floor pans in my 73. Great glass, tiny crack in the seal. Wicks on the dash to both driver and passenger sides before coming down and rotted out those spots.
Does it works on 2012 f250 or 2011 Ford Expedition?
Where are the rest of the comments?
A complete effort in futility installing an OEM configuration weather strip. Gentleman, go to your local u-pull-it yard and get the GM clamp on style weather stripping. The net result looks and exceeds the flukey early Ford glue on design.
What year GM? It fits old Fords?
@@bbigjohnson069 Just peel the weather strip off of full size pickup or SUV. GM has used this weather stripping well back into the late seventies.
Way too much adhesive. Less is more, but yes, let it get tacky first.
How long to let off gas? I tried on one side on my 67 and it was not sticking at all. Also can I just put it on my seal like he does and then the door?? Looks like the seal would probably stick to itself or is the wait time a long time??
@@chadfreeman1721 few minutes until it gets tacky, do it on both sides to what you are applying it too. Then on the seal after it gets tacky, put another small amount on that. And then attach rite away and don't disturb for 24 hours preferably.
