    Darrell Waltrip saying, "You can close your eyes knowing that Bobby Labonte was going to be it." It wasn't just at Texas it was the whole spring season. That part of 2005 was just atrocious or a bad dream.

    After seeing this and seeing the race from spring 2018 it’s weird to see how much the track and sport has changed it’s also crazy to see that the stands are full

      This was my first race at 11 and the whole fan experience was a spectacle back then to me it felt like being at the super bowl and it was only the spring Texas race I miss those days as well

      The closest you are ever going to get to that in 2023 (in terms of the crazy FanZone, tons of things to do, big event feel) is the Daytona 500.

    My goodness, those Roush Tauruses were FAST.
    Were very very good in the 8 years Jack Roush had Tauruses (1998-2005, and one of their drivers either won it all or contended for the Cup every year but 2001), but they haven't been quite the same since the Fusion.

      Roush won the last gen 4 race.

      Why DID Roush switch to the Ford Fusion anyway?

    • @TheJudge531
      @TheJudge531 4 года назад

      @@tomdalfonzo9959 cause the Taurus was being renamed to the "Five Hundred", and I'm sure Ford had a contract with NASCAR to switch to the Fusion.

      Early fussion was duplicated by astonFmartin , so sad . . . Just like these taurus breaklamp design and several pilar design stole by japs (rx7) & greatbritania (jaguar sedan )
      1960's - 1999//00's e-ur😧pean didnt inventing racing CART/Indyrace's + nascar's inventions nor inovation 《remember that guys

    Thank you for leaving the commericals in! I asked KingCuervo88 if he would leave the commercials in and he was just like, "Why would i do that, no different than watching commercials on tv today"

    I liked a lot of the newer paint schemes from this race.

    My first race. I a was 9 yr old. We sat 10 rows up from where Kasey hit the wall and got covered in whatever liquid that was. We didn’t know if it was gas from his tank hitting the wall first, oil, or water. But it was crazy because I was looking down towards the finish line watchin biffle and then a loud bang followed by a mist of liquid and a beautiful aroma of skidded burnt rubber, oil, & racing fuel/fumes. I fell in love with Nascar even more from that moment on.

    Thanks for uploading this! I'm from around that area, so it's weird to actually see the grandstands full after these past few years of 50%-75% of tickets getting sold for Sprint Cup..

    If you pause this video at the 2:11:34 mark, pretty cool shot of Waltrip, Stewart and Mears three wide.
