I cleared Mega Man Zero 4 the other day and it was a roller-coaster. This piece in particular is one of the most epic, yet heart-rending in the entire Mega Man Zero tetrology.

Remaking a Rockman Zero piece without a guitar is really interesting. The instruments used in this version of Falling Down, make the song sound more tense. This version really fits the boss fight just as much as the original arrangement. This is amazing!

It makes me really happy to hear that! To hear any song self-covered by you would be a pleasure, but I think the most iconic and fan favourite songs from Z4 may be Esperanto, Straight Ahead and Fate. Personally I really like Power Field and Max Heat. But it's really tough to choose, especially from a game full of masterpieces such as Z4!

Trust the original composer to capture everything that makes their own song so great. One of the most memorable and well-suited songs for one of the most memorable moments. A race against time in one final fight. A final sendoff to one of the greatest heroes, doing what he always did: facing down the enemy that appears before him, and destroying it, for the sake of those he believes in.

A song that truly captures the feeling of a last stand... A defiant battle against time, as the last hope of all life, robotic AND humanoid, rides on one last warrior, willing to cast his life away in the name of the future.
I may have played through the Zero games in the wrong order as a kid... But the impact of this battle stuck with me as one of the coolest 'final' battles. And this music, is why. Your self cover is fantastic. Thank you for the original, AND this.

This really brings back memories. I remember this theme so well due to the final battle being so tense. When I finally beat it as a kid, I cried when I realized Zero sacrificed himself to save humanity lol. Your music is incredibly beautiful, and helped make the game a masterpiece. Bro... se que esto no esta en ingles, pero realmente es un gusto encontrarme con el compositor original de esta obra maestra, la banda sonora de megaman zero 4 es realmente una de las mejores de toda la saga de megaman, y personalmente mi favorita (mas que el megaman zero 3 incluso), desde las musicas de los niveles, holy land y entre otros son temas que le dan demasiada vida a este juego, y este tema final, DIOS!!!, es una obra maestra de final boss, que hace sentir la tensión del momento en que representaste, un tema digno para acabar con esta saga.

The music in Mega Man Zero is so good! It was very limited on Game Boy Advance so it's my favorite to hear remasters/covers of. This is probably my favorite final boss song from any Mega Man game!

I remember seeing you on GalMetal's Falling down cover about a year ago, and I must say I never in a million years expected you to make a cover of it yourself. I'm glad you did! I love the rolling notes in the cover, as it gives it a ton of character and by making it with (primarily) the keyboard it managed to keep the intensity but also keeps a level of simplicity that a lot of composers tend to overlook. It's not so busy that it's impossible to keep track of what's happening. Clean, crisp, and clear. Three great elements to have on a song that's so high energy!
Like it was on the GBA, this is a version of the song that's final boss worthy!

It definitely feels weird without the guitar, but for a full keyboard cover you still did an amazing job. I mean, it's kinda hard to argue against the dude who made the song in the first place lmao.
Also man, that final fight aboard the Ragnarok station as it plummets down into the planet's atmosphere is probably the single greatest moment in all of Mega Man history. For simple little GBA games, the Zero series was absolutely cracked, and the music was a big part of that. Thanks for that ♥

When I was making the song, I didn't have detailed information about my biggest enemy.
I also imagined that it would be a highly difficult battle.
Therefore, I decided to express the difficulty level with complex phrases and time signatures.

The original guitar is amazing, but the nob you used for the subtle “wah” on that synth completes the slightly sorrowful undertone of the song. It drove it home so hard, I cried!

The lack of guitars actually made the music sound more like the classic Megaman X SNES melodies that I grew up with, and it's nostalgic. This was amazing Mr. Itakura! Falling Down will always be one of my favorite MMZ tracks ever, thank you!

I remember beating Weil in his first form. I had clear memories of MMZ3 Cannon Ball being an absolute banger. I thought at that moment...How can this final boss song top that? And my surprise was huge when hearing this fantastic song combined with Zero's speech. Megaman in general has a lot of great songs, but this one is the culmination of the story of Classic - X - Zero timeline. This was peak and it is my favorite final boss song. Just wanted to thank you for this great composition!

Hearing you do this is marvelous, I'm a long time Mega Man Fan, every time I hear this song I feel a sense of emotion because of the story in Zero 4 being so dramatic, and the best way it could've ended. This was the first Megaman game I ever actually managed to beat. I wish I had been skilled enough to play these games in order before the Legacy Collection, but that's all in the past now. What isn't stuck in the past is my love for the game and it's soundtrack, something I feel I could never express enough.
