  • Dr. Ko explores the complex and nuanced world of ketamine therapy, drawing parallels between responsible use and potential risks. This video offers a deep dive into the responsible application of ketamine, contrasting it with tragic outcomes when misused, as highlighted by the recent and deeply saddening incident involving Matthew Perry.
    He uses the metaphor of two drivers to illustrate how the same tool, like ketamine, can have vastly different outcomes based on how it's used. He emphasizes that ketamine therapy, while offering significant benefits for conditions like depression, anxiety, and PTSD, can also lead to adverse effects if not handled properly.
    Reflecting on Matthew Perry's untimely death, Dr. Ko underscores the importance of understanding the risks associated with ketamine, especially when mixed with other medications or used in unsafe environments. The video discusses the necessity of continuous monitoring, professional medical supervision, and clear communication with healthcare providers to ensure the safe use of ketamine therapy.
    Join Dr. Ko as he sheds light on the potential of ketamine as a therapeutic tool, the precautions necessary for its safe use, and the wisdom required to navigate its benefits and risks.

    Plz be careful, friends. Perry’s use of ketamine was not the cause of his death. His irresponsible use of ketamine & his inability to heal from his traumas was. He would have eventually ended his life with some other drug.
    I’m a Veteran. I’ve had over 40 infusions in a hospital setting. The set and setting are CRUCIAL ❤️🙏
    Now i do my ketamine treatments at home. Because i am responsible, careful and control my set and setting, I never have any issues.
    ❤️ yourself & everyone else ❤️

    I've had 12 ketermine infusions and it's changed my life I'm happy no longer depressed..but you have to get it done in a dr.s clinic by a RN.

      Totally agree. I’m on #4, and I’m SO glad I’m getting them done in person an MD. It’s so intense for me on the following 24-36 hours, it’s psychologically a weird hell on earth for me. But it’s also simultaneously comforting.
      It’s a sensation I don’t think I would have imagined, and then I wake up the next day and everything is the most normal it’s ever been in my life.
      I can very easily see how damaging this could be to someone without someone guiding you and observing you.
      I have no desire to do this recreationally. Ever. The results have been incredible but this isn’t something I’d *want* to do on my own.

      @djpower8791 I'm so happy it's working for you and remember ketermine builds on ketermine..so I'm guessing you have 2 sessions left then. After that as needed?? My nurse said I'm ready to start lower doses for my maintenance as I need them..I'm going in about every 4 months for a refresh.. I'm blessed to have a wonderful nurse who makes my trip calming for me. Good luck on your journey to better mental health.

    My deepest condolences to Matthew’s family and friends so tragic . I have had 5 very high ketamine infusions under a Drs supervision and my husband right by my side . Sadly it did absolutely nothing for my whole body burning internally and externally. However knowing just how out of this world I felt I would never ever do high doses of ketamine alone and never in any kind of water ! Goodness sakes and to be on a benzo and opiate while unsupervised is a dangerous cocktail ! I heard his interview with Diane Swayer saying he took 55 Vicodin at a time ! Poor man fought hard for his sobriety only to fall victim once again and tragically took his life ! I hope you are finally pain free and at peace . I watch reruns nightly of Friends and he will be sorely missed ❤

    My dose is 10mls/0.1mg up to 45
    Sprays a day . And since Matthew died my family have all been telling me to stop using it . I’m on a low dose and I’ve never had any issues or problems with it for 7 years.

    I don’t dare even bring this up to my doctor. Local clinics don’t return my calls when I say I use K.

    I keep telling people, the amount he had in his system is what they'd give for a field amputation. And also, moa?!? Since the bioavailability is so low orally, how did he take it?

    Thank you for addressing this. I would hate for ketamine treatment getting a backlash or becoming unavailable because of irresponsible use by others.

    News coverage reported Matthew Perry's ketamine level was 3,450 nanograms per milliliter of blood. Anesthetic levels are 2,000 ng/ml. He would have taken ketamine only a few hours before his death.

    Can you please talk about the tolerance of ketamine and how can it be mitigated? From what I've red the tolerance to ketamine takes years and years to reset and this can make therapy difficult and possibly more dangerous when someone needs very high doses to achieve the desired effect

    • @ResetKetamine
      @ResetKetamine  4 месяца назад

      Thank you for your question. Tolerance to ketamine can develop over time, potentially requiring changes in dosage.It's crucial to work with a ketamine specialist to develop a personalized treatment plan that addresses tolerance issues while ensuring safety and effectiveness.

    Are treatments meant for short term use or long term? Where I’m questioning is with addiction disorders, long term treatment is seemingly appropriate, at least in the early stages. My experience with PTSD, I haven’t had good treatment outcomes. I want to know specifically if Ketamine can help cultivate well-being receptors for long term with short term treatments?

    • @ResetKetamine
      @ResetKetamine  3 месяца назад

      Thank you for your question. The duration of ketamine treatments can vary based on individual needs and treatment goals. The optimal treatment duration should be determined by a ketamine specialist. They can assess each specific situation and recommend a treatment plan tailored to the patient’s needs, considering factors such as treatment response , condition severity, and any underlying health concerns.

    I have had 3 Infusions of Ketamine. Yes it makes you high while using it but it doesn’t last long, I don’t want to feel like that everyday. It’s really kind of scary but I have CRPS and it’s the only thing that works. I have now been prescribed 10mg Ketamine at home use and I’m afraid to use it because I would rather be in a hospital setting but I want to be pain free. I feel bad for anyone living with a chronic pain condition.

      Who do I talk to about ketamine? You get an online doc to prescribe it? I have had this crps shit for a few months now. Docs don't care how much pain I'm in.They act like they are doing me a favor, not giving me opioids. I told them the medical license is more valuable to them than my life is.That realy pist them off.I'll take any info or tips you can give.

    • @lucinda3021

      Google CRPS and ketamine and read the science based articles. CRPS cannot be treated on an outpatient basis. You are looking for a reset not temporary pain relief. Depending upon where you live, you may need to travel and stay at a hotel for one to two weeks to receive the infusions. Then return in 3 months to a year for another series depending upon how you do. You should only do this in a clinic where the doctors are experienced in treating your condition and have a track record. There are lots of ketamine clinics popping up everywhere so you will need to do your research. Taking oral ketamine prescribed by a doctor online is not advised in your situation. That would be the perfect recipe for addiction.

    Yea never take ketamine and other drugs while soaking in a full hot tub! Duh, you’re going to drown, this man had it all, and was just very irresponsible and with an accident was very preventable

  • @rod4758
    @rod4758 3 месяца назад

    No it was simply going to sleep and drowning, the ketamine will do that all by itself. It does not need any help with other drugs.

    Perry was an addict. His experience is not reflective of the people who watch this. I don’t know how any one can get high off this . I don’t have an addiction problem. So I can’t understand.

      I receive a low dose of ketamine infusions in a safe, clinical office setting. I don’t ever abuse it, but yes, it also gets me high and I understand why someone would want to abuse it.
