They use bottle caps for currency. Not sure why they decided to use caps rather than normal coins. Also Andres, I love your videos please keep making them!
A quick(ish) explanation; Nuka Cola caps are used as currency, a kind of fiat currency, representing an equivalent amount of water. Seeing that clean water is probably the most valuable thing in the wasteland, it is a pretty safe bet. Now, why those specific caps? Because they don't and can't make Nuka Cola anymore, there is a finite amount of caps, meaning it helps keep inflation in check. You can't exactly counterfeit them either, which makes it a pretty stable and useful currency in this setting.
