  • F.O.M.O is real folks. I was looking for some big books. I had to get my hands on some so I wouldn't be left out. Actually, I just bought some books while on vacation rather than a lame t-shirt or hat. Okay, I got a t-shirt and hat too but that's besides the point. I wanted some big books.

Terrific video! Those collections are beautiful. The psychoanalytic clip is very clever! Well done.

Thank you! I'm generally good about following recommendations from book doctors as long as my health insurance covers it. Normally, it only covers paperbacks, but this was an extreme situation.

Ha! Ha! LOVE it! I soooo want to get to "Swan Song" and "The Stand"! I LOVE that Poe Collection - wow! Beautiful book! OK - now I have Big Book Envy.....oh, well at least I know the cure!

In this case, the cure is NOT worse than the disease. Unless you have a bad back and lifting heavy books is prohibited.

Great small big book haul! 😂 I have both collections of poe and lovecraft short stories. This video is a reminder to read from them because I haven't in awhile!

I think it will be some good Halloween reading. If you have any Lovecraft recommendations let me know. It will be my first readings for him.

I've never heard of Swan Song but now I have to look into this to see what its about. I mean if it's about a singing swan it's probably going to be amazing. I prefer geese but swans are ok too.
Another solid video... Glad to see I'm not the only comment... I told you after I made my latest video that I haven't released yet that you would get at least 2 or 3 more comments. 🎉🎉🎉

Well, I guess I could have gave a brief description about Swan Song like you're supposed to do during a book haul video. I was thinking everyone knows Poe and H.P. and so I didn't go into any description about the book. Rookie mistake. It's my 1st year here at the plate and I'm swinging away. That's a baseball reference. It's an American sport. Not sure if you northern Yankees are familiar with it. A guy named Magic Jordan is a famous pitcher and he's on a Cheerio box too. GO SPORTS!!
I think the Saturday night VooDoo you dropped on my channel compelled viewers to comment. Please keep dark magic to a minimum as it takes a toll on the user.

@@someothercharacter @someothercharacter Hold on...who is this Poe chick you're talking about and I know nothing about Harry Potter. So probably would have been beneficial to go over all the books. But that's ok... Rookie mistakes happen.
Funny people always guess I'm a Yankee but I don't think my comments sound like I'm from the Midwest. Ahhh Magic Jordan... I have heard of him at least.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend my friend.

A Tell Tale Heart is an awesome Edgar Allen Poe Story. Also the Black Cat is a great story as well. The Raven is an amazing poem. Edgar Allen Poe has a lot great things to read. I read some HP Lovecraft and didn't like much of his stories. However they are short so if you don't like them you won't waste a lot of time on them. I hope you enjoy your big books.

I'll start with those three for Poe. Curious about Lovecraft who seems less popular than Poe. Gonna see what the mythos is all about with him. These big books will keep me busy for a while now. 😊 Thanks for watching.

I loved Swan Song. I'm one who thought it was better than The Stand.

I hope it is better. I always root for a book to be better than the last one I read. The Stand is in my top 5, so it might not be there for long.

I also read Poe when I was a teenager, but for me, that was something like 50 years ago. Maybe a little more. Also I read Lovecraft when I was a teenager. I've never gone back for rereads except for the Poe poems, like The Raven. Nevermore. I'm done.

I have been making my way through Song of Ice and Fire by George RR Martin, and there big books. I do need to read Swan Song.

I think I have all the "A Song of Ice and Fire" novels now (between me and my son) but it's gonna take me a long time to get through them. I didn't realize how big they were. A lot of characters and families to keep track of but I heard it is managable. Thanks for dropping by.

@@someothercharacter Those books are good and sometimes I do forget characters. But they have a section at the back, listening all of them.
