Forever my favorite chef 💜
Same here 💙💙🤟
Amen!
Jacques and Julia will always have a very warm and special place in my heart.
And the absolute best part of this particular series he gave to us is that's his real kitchen and not a stage or in a studio.
I had to pause this video several times to check out all the things he has in his kitchen at home.

KITCHEN ENVY EVERY TIME, RIGHT? 👏
“It’s a little old, but it’s alright” only Jacques can say that and be trusted
Although the familiar poignancy of cooking for one did not escape some of us who must now do it involuntarily, all of us greatly appreciate your creativity and practicality in the face of reality - as ever, dear Monsieur.
Very poignant.
That comment was so poignant I am now 9 months poignant

You’re a familiar poignancy…
God Love you!
Why is it so enjoyable to watch this man make these simple dishes? I have no idea... but I find him simply brilliant and unpretentious. I could watch him cook for hours on end.
Cooking Therapy with Jacques Pepin. I could watch him all day long!
Not only does he possess ridiculous cooking skills, his ability to de-mystify cooking for the novice really is a gift. There are no wasted steps or words, his recipes are by far the easiest ive encountered and theyre always delicious. The master!
Legendary. An icon. But I can’t stand him cooking for one after his wife passed. This man won’t be forgotten
I’m so glad to see new Jacques content.
Every day I watch Jacques is a good day
I'm sooo happy to see Jaques cooking for us again!!! He really is the best 💯
There is not another chef in th world that comes close to sharing knowledge and experience the way that this wonderful food creature does.
Thank you for that!
So many people say he is the best that it becomes cliche-
But he REALLY is the overall best. His legacy is already cemented but he continues to share with us.
As a bachelor who loves to cook, I greatly appreciate this. Thank you, Chef!
Jacques is so easy and relaxing to watch.
Like all the best cooking, this is simple. Pepin is the GOAT.
Thank you our dear friend for providing an alternative to "lonesome stew". You are a gracious man and continue to be an inspiration.
I made it, using three potatoes and 4 chicken thighs. My dad and my husband, and I, loved it! Thanks, new dish and actually a new way to cook for me.
So happy he's back!!
He's back!
Chef Pépin- Thank you for making a quick, simple dish for one. I don't really enjoy cooking, & doing it for one person is usually more trouble than it's worth for me. I will definitely be making this dish. Please continue making other single-serving dishes.
You should have more recopies for single senior adults.
That's a good suggestion. A lot of the meals from Jacques Pepin's Cooking at Home series are good for singles and for people on a budget.
@@kqed My grandpa used to love biscuits and gravy. He liked to go out to eat breakfast. I don't know what he'd eat for lunch and dinner. He cooked at a local hospital for many years.

As a senior, 67, there are many of these videos presented from Jacques Pepin because I watch them. They are simple! Pepins' series, FAST FOOD MY WAY is awesome. And I catch them all on RUclips 🥰
@@LIZZIE-lizzie Thanks for watching!
I love when he false-starts the knife, taps it on the board before cutting into the veg. Always reminds me of kick-starting a motorcycle. 😂
Everytime I watch Jaques, I learn something new! Love the shows when he's on with his daughter Claudine, or his friend Jean Claude. They are all funny with Jaques. 😂👏👏👏🙌🙌🙌❤
This is my favorite show of his, also I'm utterly alone but I enjoy good food so I'm going to add this little number to my dinner for one repertoire
Thank you so much for watching. Let us know how you like the recipe. Happy cooking!
Thank you! I'm finding it difficult going from cooking for 5 to just one.❤
Great to see you Chef! I'm a cook and my girlfriend and I love to watch you cook, you are her favorite cooking show to watch!
Chef Pepin is such a treasure! He's family to me 🧑🍳
Looks fantastic, and thank you for the brevity of your videos. In and out in under 3 minutes, like a great Beatles 45.
Very important to always learn something new everyday
I love Jacques Pepin.
Made this for my mom tonight and it's awesome. Merci, Jacques! I learn so much from your videos, both specific recipes like this one and general principles.
Thrilled that you are cooking again for us! Double this dish for my husband and me and boy was it yummy! The easiest thing ever and my husband is so impressed
Discovered this video on Facebook some time ago and have made it dozens and dozens of times, often in a large a cast iron pan with four or five chicken thighs. As Jacques notes, adding Herbs de Provence as seasoning for the chicken is outstanding. So simple and yet an absolute winner. Perfect comfort food.
Brilliant..kind of "spatchcocking "a thigh, 👌❤️ Another gem 🤙
Thank you for sharing your recipe sir. And thank you for sharing this video. God bless you all.
This man, Mr. Pepin, is pure class.
Велик, човечен и любим Жак Пепен! От BG.
Great recipe, perfect for one. It was a little sad to hear him say he'll be having it for dinner. Life goes on, I guess.
I've made this recipe almost every time I have chicken thighs, it scales up nicely. I usually do it in cast iron. Tonight I'm going to try and jazz it up by adding a green curry sauce when plating
I love it! When I travel for work and i have to be alone for periods of time cooking one person meals can get boring and this is something I can definitely do! Thank you ❤
Another one of the Jacques' Quick and Simple!
Thanks again, our Chief Chef!
Man after my own heart. That’s not a potato…it’s a workaround.
This is so divinely simple, use of oil is minimal. It’s great, so is he.
Someday, a theme park with statues of the greats, James Beard, Michel Richard, Jacques …..samples of their signature dishes. We deserve it.
I made this today and it was delicious! I used a 12" pan, so I put in two thighs. I added a little herbes de provence on top. Thanks!
Nice addition with the herbes!!
Made this for my wife and myself last night and we loved it!
I just made this deliciousness. So easy and so good. I cannot believe how tasty the chicken turned out. Crispy. I used sweet potatoes so next time I’ll skip the stovetop part since sweet potatoes are soft anyway. Everything goes into the oven right away. The carmelised onions were out of this world. Happy cooking everyone!!!
master of chef Jacques Pepin 👍👍🇺🇲
Chef!! You look and sound great and healthy. I’m so happy to watch and learn from you still. Keep these coming. Thank you. And happy cooking. 😊
Lovely to see recipes for one. Thank you chef. And so easy! I can't wait to try it!
Thank you for sharing recipe with us know hard to do for one ..been doing it for 17 yrs but life can be good still enjoy our families ..sunshine..the rain to…..wish you the best a long time fan
Just gorgeous
Easy Chicken au Four of the gods!!! That looks good!!!
I must add, in another one of his videos he instructed us you use “non stick paper” while placing tin foil in his pan and explaining how the non-shiny side was the correct non stick side. Jacques, only you my good man can call tin foil “non stick paper” and get away with it. It not just you skill set, it’s you as a human being, you have no idea what you do for all of those that have grown up and with you as people and as cooks. You are a legend.
De la bombe ta recette gros continue comme ça wesh.
I like how it's a short and sweet video and he created a delicious, simple and healthy dish!
Simple and delish 🌝
I love this man
Fantastic chef
All time favorite Chef. And all around good guy.
Love it - another instant classic
Merci Jacques!
The only chef I've ever seen who's honest about how much oil is added.
So many people say a teaspoon of oil and there's like a quarter cup of oil in the pan.
I’ve never used less than a tablespoon in my life lol
There simply is no quit in Pepin. Chapeau , JP !
I look forward to these videos soooooo much! Jacque ❤
simple, to the point, delicious . . .
That’s an ideal weekday easy dinner 👍🏿
The master!
So excited for new recipes!
Love it
I used to love watching his show. Really enjoyed when his daughter would pair up with him.
Bravo Maitre Jacques
Appreciate you very much chef thank you for all you do ❤️
The best!
Thanks for sharing your videos 😊
Excellent, thanks
just brilliant.
I really appreciate this dinner for one format. I usually cook just for myself, and I'll often make a larger recipe that keeps well when really I just want to spend time in the kitchen making something nice for myself. This is something I'd love to see more of. Plus, you could always edit less and just give us more of Jacques talking about whatever...
AWESOME!!!
This is a fine, tasty one-dish meal!
I'm going to try that. Thanks 🙂
Simple and beautiful
Omg. Yes. I can do this for my dinner! Thanks so my much chef❤
Looks totally yummy!
Jacques thank you for this great video! Best wishes!
“Easy, Simple & Delicious”
The man is definitely the best out there.
Wonderfully thank you
So good to see after so many years. Thank you Chef
simple and to the point
I love this man, he is brilliant and so down to earth
THAT was awesome.

this is awesome and I love that it could easily scale up

This is my dinner for tonight, easy, simple and delicious!!!
Superb. Big thanks for this, Jacques.
thanks for the menu....
I’m so excited to try this, thank you! Hope to see more new videos like this as well! ❤
Thank you Jaques for all your lessons. Perhaps more of those one pot/dinner for one type recipes since you're cooking at home? Thanks.
I made it and it was delicious! Thanks for the recipe.
This is my kind of recipe, thank you!
I needed this tonight!!!
