Forever my favorite chef 💜
Same here 💙💙🤟
Amen!
Jacques and Julia will always have a very warm and special place in my heart.
And the absolute best part of this particular series he gave to us is that's his real kitchen and not a stage or in a studio.
I had to pause this video several times to check out all the things he has in his kitchen at home.

KITCHEN ENVY EVERY TIME, RIGHT? 👏
Although the familiar poignancy of cooking for one did not escape some of us who must now do it involuntarily, all of us greatly appreciate your creativity and practicality in the face of reality - as ever, dear Monsieur.
Very poignant.
That comment was so poignant I am now 9 months poignant

You’re a familiar poignancy…
God Love you!
Why is it so enjoyable to watch this man make these simple dishes? I have no idea... but I find him simply brilliant and unpretentious. I could watch him cook for hours on end.
I’m so glad to see new Jacques content.
Legendary. An icon. But I can’t stand him cooking for one after his wife passed. This man won’t be forgotten
I'm sooo happy to see Jaques cooking for us again!!! He really is the best 💯
Thank you our dear friend for providing an alternative to "lonesome stew". You are a gracious man and continue to be an inspiration.
As a bachelor who loves to cook, I greatly appreciate this. Thank you, Chef!
Chef Pépin- Thank you for making a quick, simple dish for one. I don't really enjoy cooking, & doing it for one person is usually more trouble than it's worth for me. I will definitely be making this dish. Please continue making other single-serving dishes.
Every day I watch Jacques is a good day
I made it, using three potatoes and 4 chicken thighs. My dad and my husband, and I, loved it! Thanks, new dish and actually a new way to cook for me.
I love when he false-starts the knife, taps it on the board before cutting into the veg. Always reminds me of kick-starting a motorcycle. 😂
Everytime I watch Jaques, I learn something new! Love the shows when he's on with his daughter Claudine, or his friend Jean Claude. They are all funny with Jaques. 😂👏👏👏🙌🙌🙌❤
Looks fantastic, and thank you for the brevity of your videos. In and out in under 3 minutes, like a great Beatles 45.
So many people say he is the best that it becomes cliche-
But he REALLY is the overall best. His legacy is already cemented but he continues to share with us.
You should have more recopies for single senior adults.
That's a good suggestion. A lot of the meals from Jacques Pepin's Cooking at Home series are good for singles and for people on a budget.
@@kqed My grandpa used to love biscuits and gravy. He liked to go out to eat breakfast. I don't know what he'd eat for lunch and dinner. He cooked at a local hospital for many years.

As a senior, 67, there are many of these videos presented from Jacques Pepin because I watch them. They are simple! Pepins' series, FAST FOOD MY WAY is awesome. And I catch them all on RUclips 🥰
@@LIZZIE-lizzie Thanks for watching!
Like all the best cooking, this is simple. Pepin is the GOAT.
This is my favorite show of his, also I'm utterly alone but I enjoy good food so I'm going to add this little number to my dinner for one repertoire
Thank you so much for watching. Let us know how you like the recipe. Happy cooking!
Not only does he possess ridiculous cooking skills, his ability to de-mystify cooking for the novice really is a gift. There are no wasted steps or words, his recipes are by far the easiest ive encountered and theyre always delicious. The master!
Great to see you Chef! I'm a cook and my girlfriend and I love to watch you cook, you are her favorite cooking show to watch!
I recently discovered the channel and after just a few simple recipes, I have become a huge Jacques Pepin fan. I really didn't have high hopes for this dish but I had a couple of chicken thighs left over from 2 other Pepin vid's and this popped up in my feed. It's just chicken and potatoes I thought, but what the heck. It was SO delicious!!
I love Jacques Pepin.
Very important to always learn something new everyday
Thank you for sharing your recipe sir. And thank you for sharing this video. God bless you all.
I just made this deliciousness. So easy and so good. I cannot believe how tasty the chicken turned out. Crispy. I used sweet potatoes so next time I’ll skip the stovetop part since sweet potatoes are soft anyway. Everything goes into the oven right away. The carmelised onions were out of this world. Happy cooking everyone!!!
master of chef Jacques Pepin 👍👍🇺🇲
Thank you! I'm finding it difficult going from cooking for 5 to just one.❤
Another one of the Jacques' Quick and Simple!
Thanks again, our Chief Chef!
He's back!
Discovered this video on Facebook some time ago and have made it dozens and dozens of times, often in a large a cast iron pan with four or five chicken thighs. As Jacques notes, adding Herbs de Provence as seasoning for the chicken is outstanding. So simple and yet an absolute winner. Perfect comfort food.
That’s an ideal weekday easy dinner 👍🏿
Keep it simple. Perfect
Chef!! You look and sound great and healthy. I’m so happy to watch and learn from you still. Keep these coming. Thank you. And happy cooking. 😊
I really appreciate this dinner for one format. I usually cook just for myself, and I'll often make a larger recipe that keeps well when really I just want to spend time in the kitchen making something nice for myself. This is something I'd love to see more of. Plus, you could always edit less and just give us more of Jacques talking about whatever...
Just gorgeous
Dear Jacque, I had a small chunk of yellow onion and a larger chunk of red onion. I’m glad I put in red onion. It added a sweet caramelly flavor. Love this recipe
I made this today and it was delicious! I used a 12" pan, so I put in two thighs. I added a little herbes de provence on top. Thanks!
Nice addition with the herbes!!
There simply is no quit in Pepin. Chapeau , JP !
Brilliant..kind of "spatchcocking "a thigh, 👌❤️ Another gem 🤙
I love this man
I like how it's a short and sweet video and he created a delicious, simple and healthy dish!
Made it tonight. Simple easy tasty. Thanks
Thanks for sharing. Happy cooking!
Bravo Maitre Jacques
Jacques Pepin., is the Master Chef!!....Par Excellence!!
“Easy, Simple & Delicious”
The man is definitely the best out there.
I used to love watching his show. Really enjoyed when his daughter would pair up with him.
Man after my own heart. That’s not a potato…it’s a workaround.
This is so divinely simple, use of oil is minimal. It’s great, so is he.
Someday, a theme park with statues of the greats, James Beard, Michel Richard, Jacques …..samples of their signature dishes. We deserve it.
Such a nice little meal, Cheers!
Superb. Big thanks for this, Jacques.
After a bad day, this brings a smile to my face.
Heaven Ridge
Merci! More recipes for one, please.
Thrilled that you are cooking again for us! Double this dish for my husband and me and boy was it yummy! The easiest thing ever and my husband is so impressed
Thank you for this. From your time working for Howard Johnson's I miss those clam rolls and some of the other menu items you no doubt chose. Thank you Jacques.
I wish I could meet Jacques Pepin, he’s such a pleasure to watch! 💯
This is my kind of recipe, thank you!
I grew up watching cooking videos on KQED with my mom. My favorites, in order: Jacques, Julia, Martin Yan, & The Frugal Gourmet.
Glad you're still watching with us here on RUclips!
I’m so excited to try this, thank you! Hope to see more new videos like this as well! ❤
De la bombe ta recette gros continue comme ça wesh.
Great recipe, perfect for one. It was a little sad to hear him say he'll be having it for dinner. Life goes on, I guess.
Cooking is best hobby. I want to learn.
Merci, Jacques
Love it
You are my inspiration. Awesome skills!!!
So excited for new recipes!
Thank you Jaques for all your lessons. Perhaps more of those one pot/dinner for one type recipes since you're cooking at home? Thanks.
Why it is so easy for mister Pepin !
In the oven 425 degrees fahrenheit, 25 to 30 minutes and that's it, dinner's ready!!!
I LIKE THIS. EASY.
💯
Señor Pépin, Thank you so much for your cooking at home video recipes. I enjoy watching them very much. They are very educational; I have made many of your recipes. You have inspired in me the art and joy of cooking, and of sharing this with my family and friends. Saludos!
Absolutely the best in the world at sharing his true love for this craft. Incredible skill for making complicated recipes so approachable! Thank you!!!
Omg. Yes. I can do this for my dinner! Thanks so my much chef❤
I made this last night. Easy and incredibly good!🎉
Nothing on the chicken except salt pepper and paprika. Didn't it turn out dry ? I mean, very often chicken in the oven is brushed with butter midway while being grilled.
@@sauravbasu8805 The pan juices from the chicken onion and potatoes were fine for me. Was quite juicy.

God bless you, Jaques! Your recipes are always top-notch. I cook for myself all the time, and I love one pot meals.
Been making this at least once a week for a couple months now. It's so easy and so good!. I add mushrooms and carrots sometimes
I cook like him in general. I learnt from my late grandma. A few small knives, simple ingredients and simple recipes for the day to day.
just brilliant.
Le roi!
I love this man, he is brilliant and so down to earth
Looks smashing Jacques!
I'm going to try that. Thanks 🙂
Chef I have watched you for years and have always enjoyed your recipes and videos. You are the very best. God Bless You!

The master!
AWESOME!!!
❤❤❤🤗
Interessant et appétissant. Je pense qu'on pourrait aussi mettre directement les ingrédients dans un plat au four.
This is my dinner for tonight, easy, simple and delicious!!!
Love it - another instant classic
The best. We are so lucky he was so nice to share the knowledge with us.
The best!
thanks for the menu....
Beautiful 😊
I look forward to these videos soooooo much! Jacque ❤
Beautiful, I live on a modest pension and this is wonderful for me. Because I can buy a whole chicken for 12 dollars and this will feed me for 4 to 5 days. Thank you so much 💓 love and respect Mr. Pepin. Bless you 🙏 ♥
Jacques still doing it at the age of 87!
Thanks for sharing your videos 😊
