I can't believe some people said Life Eternal wasn't worthy of a closer and felt kind of bland. It's so beautiful and grand in scale. Sure it may not measure up to Monstrance Clock or Deus In Absentia, but it still hits pretty big on grandeur and emotion.
Yeah, the way the album was structured was fantastic. Except I feel like after the climax at Miasma, the rest is even _darker._ I got this sense of dread, like there were only a fraction of people left, and most of _them_ are dying too, and by life eternal people have just accepted that their end is probably coming right around the corner, so fuck it.
I am in love with this album. The drums on this record are beyond good. Whoever did the drums deserves a raise. Tobias’ vocals are transcendent as well as the guitar work on this record is amazing. 10/10 album!
when this album came out, I used to spend so much time searching for reactions because it is so cool to see how good it actually is! whats weird, is that I never saw you video back then! But you obviously have the best video, so I guess it is because of your traffic or whatever it is called! Good work man! Really cool to watch!

Also Witch Image sounds like Blue Oyster Cult with Buck Dharma singing. Helvetesfonster is an amazing composition. Boy does that song have atmosphere and create a mood. Absolutely gorgeous! 😍
Still watching your reaction so I don't know if you realized this or not but the intro to Pro Memoria was what was playing on the boom box the Cardinal was carrying when he was introduced. It's cool how they foreshadowed stuff in the chapter videos.
Wish I had discovered them when they first started! Found out they played at a small theater in Detroit, that would have been amazing,up close and personal! Haven't loved a band this much in years.
Great review. Did you check out the live concert vids yet with Papa Nil doing the sax solo? It's an awesome moment in the song. This whole album is awesome. Can't figure out which song is my favorite. Dance Macabre is more poppy but it is getting a huge response from concert goers so that is a good indicator of a hit. It is already climbing up the charts. Tobias has a smash album and multiple hits on this one. 😁🤘
Christy B yes I totally have checked the live set its awesome ! Especially papa zeros sax solo I loved it 🤘 but this album I think is going to cement ghost as a great band and hits tobias can pull off the man is a great song writer

I really liked this album as a whole, but I do feel it should have closed out on something stronger. Life Eternal is a decent song, but it's definitely not a closer. I personally would have either used Witch image or Faith to end it on. Regardless, it's a small nitpick. Great album nonetheless.

2018 is a monster year. Carpenter Brut's Leather Theeth, Judas Priest's Firepower, Ghost's Prequelle. All monster albums IMHO

I only just got this album today (a bit late, i know) and i love it! Tobias's voice is amazing, so beautiful.
