@@Loup-mx7yt naaah i dont think so I Maked King Tiger Ausf. B 1/72 and it was very easy (i think because there was snap fit no glue required) and small parts are evil trust me And Tiger 1 mmm i need to buy Tiger 1 1/72 IT will be epic!
Been watching these videos since I pulled a 1977 me 109 kit out of a pile from my friends deceased fathers collection. I like the layering process and particularly washes and dry brushing. The reveal effect is killer!
I'm always blown away by how your models are so life-like they make me wonder what that tank and crew went through. What are their names? What battles did they fight? Who did they lose? How did their tank get its damage? Where did they get the tracks? These models inspire the most vivid of daydreams. The ones where the crew isn't fighting, Fury style. But they're sitting on and around the tank, talking. Repairing it. Just trying to get through life. I wonder what jokes they told
I enjoy watching you build, the music is excellent. I learn all the time, you are very talented. And this video I realized you and Andy are the only builders that really pay attention to the bottom of the vehicle you are painting. I think that speaks volumes. Thank you for the content you make.
That's crazy how you made a plastic looking model look so real to the actual thing, It always amazes me when modelers make these things look so realistic!
Your technique is one of the better ways in my opinion I haven’t built a model since 1985 I learned much from an experienced builder In those days and I built many 1/35 Tamiya kits and dioramas. I enjoy watching your channel keep up the hobby.
I feel so much better now that I know I'm not the only plonker to lose a part and spend 10 mins trying to find the 'bloody' thing! Great work, again PLASMO.
wow that's incredible. I havn't build models for, dunno, 20 years or longer. And even then most of them just stayed uncolored. I think i could never have the dexterity, dedication and/or patience to get such great results
OMG David you are a true genius. I look to you and other modeller youtubers for inspiration to help me through the next few months. Thank you and stay safe everybody!
amazing again! many years ago, when I was building military- models, I had a very efficient an simple way for winter camouflage. Mix fine chalk powder with water an put it on the painted model with a brush. When it's dry, you have a white cover. Then you can take a brush to wipe the chalk off the edges an make weathering. Works fine. nI fixed it with hairspray. Back in the days you had no big choice. Maybe you want to try it.
I never even thought to thin down the spaced armour holders! Then there is the part where you use thin brass to replicate the armour and use the plastic parts as a template! I feel like I've been asleep all this time! Well done sir.
That poor things suspension! Love your work man! I'd like to think these men have salvaged all these extra tracks from knocked out allies. And applying them in a desperate defense of bazooka's, even if they haven't seen one
@Matthew Familia How do you know he's dissapointed or what he noticed? It could be the 10th thing he noticed about the tank and so he said it, and enjoyed the tank like anyone else. I didn't notice it but if I had I probably would have said it too. People like to know how these machines worked it's part of the fun and interest in what you're building so mentioning a sight blockage isn't dissapointment, it's part of the interest in it all.
I've just watched you build this model. I'm amazed at your work, I was drinking a lovely cup of coffee when you lost the guide wheel and said ...."Oh bloody Hell.......", and I nearly dropped my drink on the floor laughing. Keep up the great work ....and yes all true model builders swear!
What a great way to unwind from a stressful day to see a new video posted, and of one of my favorite tanks as well !! Your modelling skill and video quality is top notch ! I recently got back into scale models and your videos are a great inspiration... I forgot how relaxing it is to work on them! Thanks again for all the great work you have shared with us !!
I see that the old rule, “Paint before assembling” does not always apply. Nether the less, your models are quite exquisite and I am in awe of your skills.
As always an absolute pleasure to watch, Thanks! Edit: These Link-and-Length Tracks are best assembled as whole and then mounted on the running gear. I lay them on double sided tape and glue them together with slow setting cement ( I use Revell Professional), let them sit for a few minutes and then just lay them in place. Also the Returnrollers are not rubberized on the real tank ;)
Sir, you got some skills ! I really admire your out-of-the-box-thinking amazes me ! As I see it you take plastic-modelling to a new level. Great work, thanks for posting !
You really do a great job. I learn a lot from watching you builds. I can't do my models as nice as yours due to spine injury but I think that I have done better after watching your builds. thanks again.
Beautiful work butit is the little tricks and tips you pass on that makes it so interesting. I lovewatching you work and seeing the model take on increasing realism. I have a Dragon Tiger, Wittman’s last tank. Watching your videos is giving me lots of ideas about how to paint better and weather to do it justice. Thank you.
I love how you make these models come to life. I've been enjoying your video's for a while now and decided to get back into the hobby after about 18 years. Starting with the Tamiya 1/35 Sherman easy eight. The E8 is such a beautiful tank. I'd love to see you build it one day. Keep up the good work!
David my friend your modeling skills are second to none and your camera work is some of the best on RUclips. I love it always look forward to your next post. All the best from America
When you lost the return roller it reminded me of when I was making my AR-15A1 rifle project. The tiny " E Clip " that holds the ejection port rod in place shot across the room when I tried to press it into place. Never to be found. I had to order a new one. I mean I ordered 5 new ones haha.
Superb skills.👌 It's a terrible feeling when you drop an important little piece but it's worth all the grief for that brilliant sigh of relief when you find it.😁 Cheers for now, Dougie.
Really nice build! I have the same kit in my stash and I have been thinking of remaking the sideskirts in brass as well. Now that I have seen how well it turned out I definitely will do it!
I used to make model tanks 20 years ago and thought I was quite good, even adding talcum powder to brown paint, my invention although I am sure others also came up with that idea as well, to make pretty realistic mud that clung onto the models. I thought I was pretty good at the whole modelling hobby. Now, years later, I watch clips like this and realise just how far away from good I was. I love watching these type of clips and seeing real skill at work
I can’t stop watching you bilt.......i am so jealous off you that you can bilt and paint all off this.. God bless you.....and I can’t wait for the next one.
"after 10 minutes of searching"...one of the best modeling tools I own is an apron modified by my wife. It's a standard shop apron, but on the hem she sewed velcro strips. Then, I took the mating side of the velcro and attached them to the underside of my workbench. When I sit down, I just attach the hem of the apron to the bottom of the workbench, and viola! Since she gave this to me, I think I have saved hours looking for runaway parts. Of course, tiny parts held by a tweezer are a different matter when they shoot across the room, but there you have it.
Superb work David, especially in 1/72 scale. Always a pleasure to watch your videos. Take no notice of the dislikes, they’re only jealous of your skills.😉Take it easy.👍🏻
Higher hand for tank modeling! That's very impressive! Add mental gun barrel and mental protection plates!Spray colour can be oil base or water base! Some German tants wooden timbers for addition protection!

Your videos are so relaxing to watch... Your modeling technique is amazing, but your video production is top-notch as well!

And here i was 40 yrs ago, just happy to paint it and get the decals on in the right place. Awesome job man. Awesome job.
I’d love to see you building a ship again, sir. But as always astonishing work.
This is because I can not build a ship model in one week, but I already buy a new ship model.
PLASMO - plastic models no stress, I love everything of your work. :)

How did you write your comment if you "literally died"?
*ooh*
Hugo Brece he sad "jasne", which means: jeah, of course :)
The detail you achieve in such a small scale is amazing.
I was not expecting to be amazed by a video of a plastic model kit build, but whoa!
In 1995, i built a similar Tank IV in 1/72 scale (ESCI-ERTL), but not such detailed like yours. I have only one word: Wow!
I almost fall asleep every time i watch your videos and not that they’re boring but just that they’re so calming and peaceful

Impressive how you look for the details. Every model you make is a masterpiece.
Amazing detail, particularly for such a compact little model. Thanks for sharing it with us, and showing us the techniques that went into it.

The track on the side of the gun breech is effectively blocking the gunner's viewport.
Yes, this tank is uselessness, because gunner can't see anything.
-gunner's sight

Napalm they would be looking through the holes in the tracks as they are roughly the size of a humans hand
Don't worry. The commander will tell him what's going on.

Beauty. Adding those white contours to your scratches really makes a great improvement. I'll remember that one. :)
this is still your best model you ever made a video of.(And yes its also a better model than the new video releases)
212 number belongs to 502 heavy tank battalion, which included the great German tank ace Otto Carius and had on his tiger number 212
That's a tactical marking. Means 2nd company, 1st platoon, 2nd tank. A zero in the number means headquarters.
Absolutely stunning David great project and video thanks for sharing.
Really nice building! Objective and seems has been very fun.

Yes, I started working on the new model. The last one took me three months so it will not be soon. :-D
David how mutch you do this model?
A German U-Boat with cutaway would be really cool :) Type VII is typical but I'd still love it!!
Chipping varnish makes modelling more satisfying
