This video added years to my life. I searched through three different textbooks before finding this, and none of them were as clear or even attempted this explanation. Small sample size, but still. Thank you!
I am in a Neuroscience class right now and your video is significantly better than the lecture I am listening to. I want to verify one piece of information she is giving us. She says the corticobulbar decussate at the lower medulla. Is this true? Your illustration does not show this. Thank you for great, easy to understand content. I am going to look around at more of your videos to help me.
The supranuclear input come from the frontal eyefields via the corticomesencephalic tract.. which is a part of the corticonuclear tract... the corticonuclear tract is basically encompassing corticobulbar, corticomesencephalic etc... The term is often used interchangeably with corticonuclear tract.

from what book are these photos?
What is meant by lateral tracts ?
Does it include both corticospinal and corticobulbar tracts ?
Lateral descending tracts consist of lateral corticospinal tract and rubrospinal tract
Medial descending tract consist of anterior corticospinal , vestibulospinal, tectospinal and reticulospinal tracts.😊
Hello, correct me if I am wrong. There is no direct Corticobulbar tract input going to CN3, CN4 and CN6.

I thought the abducens cranial nerve was at the level of the pons
U r correct
yes it is on the Pons.
Isn't the nucleus of the CN 6 at the level of Pons?
