I have a physiology Mid-term tomorrow and I stumbled on this video and honestly wow this was amazing, I loved the teaching method, and the details...I'm definitely gonna recommend you to my friends Wish me luck! lol
The drawings and the method of teaching are perfect. After watching many videos, now I understand the topic. The only thing that I have problem with is the speed of teaching, which is too fast for me. So I have to pause it after a few seconds. Anyway, it helps me so much. Thank you!
I would love to know how long it took you to sketch out this beauty underneath this diagram you present. i can see the pencil. love what you have done. wish I could draw just as good
Thank you so much for the video. One thing, my Anatomy and Physiology text by Tortora and Derrickson says that the pyramidal pathway is so named because the upper motor neurons from which it arises are pyramidal cells (a type of neuron named for appearance) in the cerebral cortex. According to them, it does not have this name because, as you say, it travels through the pyramids of the medulla. I'm no expert, I don't know who's right.
I have upper motor neuron symptoms with positive pronator drift, hoffman sign, forarm roll, hyperactive reflexes but interestingly no babinski sign. I have no plantar reflexes at all. My tongue also has fasculations and a bit of tongue atrophy.
I love this so much. My question is WHERE exactly is the "alpha motor neuron" in this whole process? Is the alpha motor neuron the lower motor neuron that is going to the skeletal muscles?
God bless you. I was sitting here crying, confused and overwhelmed and your video helped me so much on this subject. Thank you thank you thank you

Thank you so much Sir
