Stunning and brave going that far into a Dyson v11! You should be knighted for doing so! Interesting it fell over and broke which mine tried to commit suicide when I was simply trying to film a video as well. Maybe Dyson v11 just have a high suicide rate and need professional help? Great video is always Sam!
Just got one myself with numerous faults for 30 pounds. I commend you for taking this apart Sam,I'm really hoping the faults with my one don't mean I have to go inside it like that!
I saw that, that's a stunning deal! Tbh, you do want to go the whole way, do it once and do it right. If the trigger hasn't gone yet then leave that but get it scrubbed out, reset it to new and suddenly you've got the best cordless you could ever buy for £30 😂
I think these clean well and are fairly practical, but oh man all the problems. I know you dropped it, but it's due to the stick type design and batteries die soon after the short warranty. And talk about the price. People are crazy to buy one of these. And yes I know you had a good reason to buy one :)
It's the big problem isn't it! It's bloody good, but so flawed, both by itself and in the general stick vac design. I'd say if yiu can justify the cost and have the right house and flooring you could run one as your only vac. But it quickly becomes a pain if you exceed that and goes back to just being a very expensive occasional vac
@@beko1987 hi, do you have a video where you can better see how to remove and replace the display of the v11 absolute? possibly could you give me the link? thank you
I honestly don't know what's happening with your V11. You just constantly seem to have some problems :D We've had our V10 from Dyson's outlet for 10 months and it's been fantastic. We use it probably 3 times a week. The bin mechanism hasn't failed once. I washed the filter three times and it didn't even look dirty. Everything works like it did on first day. If the battery fails then we're just gonna replace it. £79 is not a lot. Half the price what Miele charges. What about amazing Lupe? You can't even get a spare battery.. Oops, forgot. It's better than Dyson and it's battery never gonna fail so you're never gonna need a battery.
he dismantles a dyson, I can't even afford a v11 ... but again interesting video .. again what I learned once again I tried to dismantle a dc 35 which was then completely scrap 😂😂
I dropped mine and the display stopped working on my v15 detect. It’s still under warranty so they will send a replacement for the main body. From now on I will detach the body from the stick when not in use and lay it on the ground so it can’t fall again! I rent so I am not able to drill holes in the wall for the wall hanger that comes with the vacuum.
You can get freestanding metal docks, I've got one for exactly your reason, I rent too! Their not too expensive and work really well, I did a video on mine a while back
I own a v11 series for 1.5 years now, now it's not working at all...battery voltage is fine, LCD not working, no motor functions, took it apart and the PCB board was nasty, what a $800 piece of junk, my other plug-in upright that I have had for 6 years now still works great and it only costed $200. I'm not buying anything anymore with the name Dyson on it.
Was it the trigger? They snap for fun! and everything else you say is spot on! Dyson are good at one thing and that's marketing. They make nice used buys, v11's in the UK needing a refurb are sub £150 now which is a perfect price point for them and probably what Dyson pay per completed unit from the ship by the container 😂🛳️
Yea that will probably work too. Although you cant fill the hole too much or you'll block off the rest of that cyclone 'bit', but I doubt anyone would notice if they did do that 🤷
Yes. In the US it was $63 (with free shipping) for the whole main body in 2023. Just swap out all the other parts onto the new body, which comes with a 12 month warranty, and you're good to go. Takes about 5 minutes. They even give you new screws for the battery sway and a small screwdriver.

I suppose it's a cheaper fix than if you'd dropped a henry, a new floor ain't cheap!
Your bird made a quick guest appearance and left as quick as cheap vax motor
Ha! Yea, he's still quite camera shy. He sits in between my 2 led floodlights as it's warm!
No , the poor Dyson , can you fix it , yes you can . Your like the vacuum version of Bob the builder Sam 😂

@@beko1987 Very well said!
💯 stick vacuums as a design really don't make sense.

It won't be long before the v11 becomes affordable used, don't worry!

Couldn't you just patch the hole up with some silicone?
