Vman. Love the work you’ve done, but I do have a comment on why things are closed for hunting only. In addition to hunting license, hunters pay an extra tax on everything hunting related like guns, bows, ammo, camo, etc that goes specifically to state and national forest. This is offsets our consumptive use of the land. However, that doesn’t mean that birders, overlanders, hikers, bikers, etc don’t have a consumptive use. We overlanders and campers consume trail in the form of erosion, water, water purity, relieving ourselves and the waste associated, on and on. In GA hunting is about 6months-ish and the rest of the time the other consumptive users can play without extra cost. Use is not the primary objective. Wildlife is. The fewer the better in terms of impact. I say this as a hunter, fisher, overlander, rock climber and mountain biker. Don’t mean to come off preachy. Just adding some perspective.

I’ve got a 2006 Jeep Lj, And was wondering if you recommend pulling my Teardrop. It weighs 1600 empty. Idk towing capacity is supposedly 3500 pounds. According to google search.

First I will say that I do NOT think Wranglers are good for towing! I had a JKU which claimed 3500lbs but it didnt "like" towing much either. I used to tow a 1500lb cargo trailer with it did and it was "ok." The TJ pulls my sub 1000lb trailer very well but as with the JKU, my biggest concern was stopping. Even after the good test, I am still worried about coming down a long long mountain road trying to slow down or stopping. Trailer brakes will fix that concern and I am looking into it. My opinion and suggestion is take out your teardrop on just a nice day ride, take it easy, and see how it feels. Then take it on a more difficult day trip on roads you may face while traveling with it. Keep an eye on engine temps, transmission temps, and just really see how your LJ likes it it. I know the issue with the TJ is the short wheel base so the LJ should be better. The JKU definitely felt more stable when towing but again its the stopping AND the wear and tear of towing with a Wrangler.
(Sorry that was not a straightforward answer but hope it sort of helps)
