I never like the argument of "X deck needs Y card to be good so it should stay/come back". I don't think anyone really likes Apo, it just artificially inflates the strength of decks that already have high ceilings. Like Apo, Baron, Savage will always be better in a tier 1 deck than a tier 2 deck, that's just the reality. It's like when people said "Called By should go to 3 because hand traps hurt rogue decks a lot". Like yes that's just what the Tier 1 decks need, is more gas and interruption.
Agreed. I am all for having strong cards that are archetype specific. But cards like Apo, Savage, Baron are generic and have been the end boards for many tier one decks since they released.
Also why ban rivalry and not tcboo or gozen. This banlist Wish Is sooo funny It doesnt even makes sense😂😂
Maybe cause that one hurts Branded the most? To be honest, all of them banned would be better.
This made me laugh as well (in a good way) because the truth is the majority of archetypes are mono-type (more than mono-attribute) to the point Rivalry is the weakest of the trio (and the reason TCBOO has been so oppressive in comparison), but Rivalry specifically cooks Branded while it punishes generic boss monsters typically being Dragon/Machine/Cyberse
This dude is smoking dïck with this list
Bro is wishing too hard
Ban everything except branded 🤣
It's wild how wanted is at three, engage is at three, and Konami said fuck chaos space. Also, leave magnamhut alone
Wanted is at one in the ocg. I do not know where you are getting engage being at 1 from.
@@chewdoom8415 I meant three lmao
Jack Garland confirmed to be the CEO of Konami.
wanted really is just chaos space on crack cocaine
You had my attention at Tearlaments.
Me too bro me to
Boy im glad shifter is still at 3.
They can all go to 3 tbh. The millers are the problem
@@erikfigueroa6390I like Master Duel cus it’s hella funny to shifter Kitkalos
@@STEPHxCA i play exosister, and so far they rage quit after seeing either shifter, or martha 😂
10:54 i’m guessing to myself that they limited Crossout Designator to 1 to prevent people activating that card and declaring another copy of Crossout to negate your opponent’s Crossout. 🤔
Why, though? No one gave two d*mns about Wiretap negating Wiretap to the point when Seven Tools was played. XD
I am a bit confused. How fluently you switch between really good and really bad takes. But still a good video
Completely agree, as an Italian and after having watched the Italian nats, I feel like the format has gotten incredibly dry since the release of snake-eyes and there's not much innovation currently. I just wish Konami would strive for the same diversity we had in the September 2023 format...
No, people reaally reeaaaaallly do not miss tear when that deck was top I watched my locals go from 50,60 players to less then 10, most annoying toxic deck ever made
I hope they get rid of sanctifier. Tbh, I wish that they wouldn't need to and just get rid of the puppet, but you know people, they'll just play something exactly like the puppet and we'll be back to YCS Indianapolis, where pak and the other branded player are just racing to lock each other with some other card; it's a shame really, because I get what Konami was trying to do with sanctifier, it was meant to create some interesting game states... Yet it makes for some of the most uninteresting, lol.
If they ban Puppet then D/D orthros and Ido are the next targets. You can't make Sanctifier a healthy card for the game without am errata.
@@doctorgaming2573 Yeah... Just the nature of Yu-Gi-Oh doesn't let a card like that be healthy. We could either go scorched earth and ban a dozen or so cards, or just ban sanctifier and be over with it. It wouldn't significantly impact branded anyway also.
@@Camelotsmoon All it needed to do is summon to the opponent's field with the effects negated (for even more future-proofing, also "can't activate effects"). While for a game balance standpoint I agree it should be banned and always argue with people saying "just ban puppet", I can't say I don't like Sanctifire's intent of promoting a grind game while utilizing the full power of Albaz. Such a cool playstyle concept, and even better lore/art.
9:02 with white woods coming up I could see people using it but remember problem with draw spells is that they are fine individualy but not all of them at once we already have 3 upstart
But if you ban zealantis, how can my marincess deck boardwipe?
It'd be incredibly stupid for flamberge dragon to get hit at all because he's the main boss monster of snake eyes but if they want to restrict snake eyes popular and oak to 1 or ban at least one of them entirely go for it 💯🎯
Why magnamhut? leave my Dragon link for at least one format
"Bring back Savage, Dragon Link has been hit too much"
"Ban Magnamhut, card too strong"
😂

The branded player would want D barrier ban🤣🤣
8:02 idk I'm kinda fine with engine hand traps especially ones like magna that might not even be a ht but rather board breaker decks should have their own going 2nd gameplan. Havnis was another one in terms of game design problem was it could turn into a lot of distruptions but magna smiply cannot do that
i agree with everything except for bystial magnamut
Instead they should start bringing dragon cards off the list.
@@PunchM3 nah. I took a look and the majority would be a problem and limit card design
@@chewdoom8415 I mean striker dragon to 2 wouldn’t be to much
Flamberge is not the only problem, it’s what the problem snowballs into
Nah, Prosp is one of those cards that needs to either be at 3 or 0.
Putting it to 1 would just be stupidly frustrating for the person on the receiving end, like PoG in GOAT Format. The reason its at 1 in the OCG is because of Maxx "C"
Bystial Magnamhut ban is the wrong call.
I don't think it is limiting deck designs at all.
A lot of modern dragon decks do not even run Bystial Magnamhut because it is too slow and they already have enough consistency, to the point Magnamhut (limited) is negligible; they would rather play another card. Furthermore, although the set up is usually easy to fulfil, it still requires set up to play, whereas many other competing cards do not - making them more viable than a stray off Magnamhut.
Searching any Dragon at **END PHASE**.
I've never agreed with anyone on this because everyone acts as if the transaction is instantaneous. Magnamhut is good because it allows follow up play which is much needed in a lot of these Dragon decks that do actually play Magnamhut. They often have consistency problems, and often end on Hieratic Seals as they have nothing better to do which in turn supports the need to summon Magnamhut for follow up plays. Also, the "any" dragon part of this comment is also extremely copious; there are very few Dragons you are actually going to search.
Moreover, again, you're getting this card at the End Phase - you are likely not going to be able to use that Dragon until your next turn (and going second support is much needed in this game).
And finally, this would ruin the Bystial engine, which is not strong anymore. The knock on effect of banning Bystial Magnamhut is completely unwarranted.
Damn bystials are underperforming in a meta where the best deck is fire with very specific monsters that are chaos attributes totally bystials are powercrept.
Do you realise how debilitating magna is against chaos decks? The end phase search for a druiswurm may as well be instantaneous if you can first snipe a card in response to a grave summon and then in end phase remove another resource too. And if you don’t do that you just search one of the most over supported types. Magna is a bannable card and should be hit
Limiting prosperity makes no sense, leave it alone.
Bro its either 3 shifter or 0
Wouldn’t be mad at 1 tbh
if they PUT BRANDED FUSION TO 1 ALOT OF PEOPLE ARE PLANNING ON QUITTING YUGIOH FOR THAT
Pot of prosperity is one issue, but I would also like to point out that stun decks also play pot of duality which has even less of a cost for them (since they dont rly special summon monsters anyways)
With that you can put every pot card the one even part of Greed
I’d ban the promethean instead of zealantis, the latter is such a cool card in marincess and paleo decks
I can partially agree (sorry I play salad , I must some how protect her) I think that banning her only is not enough, and at least you want get rid of her for the healthiness of the format must zealantis go too.
Promethean breaks both Zealantis and Raging, and to me it has the most overtuned effect text in recent years, even compared to SP. It's literally the pillar of every fire deck, while even decks like Yubel (pre-fiendsmith) incorporate it for its value.
- Not requiring any FIRE to make (completely generic)
- Not locking you into FIRE after the revive (lingering so it's not played around by removal)
- Not banishing itself when summoned from gy (infinite grind)
- Not saying "destroy both" to prevent Linkuriboh/IP shenanigans with your monster being a free material
It's not about overall power/impact where SP had a bigger one, it's simply the text being overtuned as card design. For example think of SP with the effect on summon not needing specific materials, then the second effect being a quick effect like DPE (again no activation requirment) but also banishing your monster for cost to dodge interaction and work even under Skill Drain.
Thanks man , that's maybe one of the best analyses about the card I've read it and in the end I have to admit, yeah, the card is broken 😕
Prosperity has a cost pot of greed doesn't that was a dumb take you draw 2 cards with no drawback pot of prosperity halves damage plus banishing extra deck cards kind of matters because you have to choose what extra deck cards to rip out of it.
1) people who play prosp probably have 6 cards they can takeout.
2) what is half dmg if the deck that plays it kills you under prosp
3) draw 2 random cards or add 1 out of 6 of your choice? 2 random can be 2 useless cards
It depends on how you look at the game. In today's standard prosperity is better in practice but pot of greed is better on paper. If you play a deck that only needs 9 extra deck cards or a deck with good recycling potential(most decks) then digging 3-6 cards deep in your deck is better.
Prosperity is the only Pot that can even rival Greed. While Greed has no OPT or restriction, in a vacuum unless your deck is a "draw turbo" or has a huge extra deck requirement, Prosperity will always be the better card because getting the best 1 out of 6 new cards will always be more impactful than getting your next 2 cards.
If you combine this with going first (so half damage doesn't matter) or a deck that doesn't draw, in a deck with flexible extra deck, you pretty much eliminate every drawback of this card with proper deck building. The only issue is the OPT part, that would make this instantly bannable if it didn't exist.
So I pretty much agree with it being limited (as well as a rival to Greed, but not always better) and they should also think about TTTalent to 1 in the future because it's a format warping card. After that and the eventual 3-4 reprints of TTThrust, it should also be limited to avoid the issue of the extra deck becoming a collection of 1-off winbuttons (since banning every target is impossible)
Starting hand 11 cards
@@madeyoulook6260 im not taking a side cus im drunk but to be a devils advocate, counter to points 1 and 2; 1, if you play prosp you ofc have 6 you can take out, its designed to help decks within that limitation, many decks cannot afford that. Point 2, granted its fairly popular rn but basically the only deck that can do that reliably is tenpai and that's almost it, if you lose to anything else it wasnt because prosp resolved.
prosperity hit would hurt much more then what the ban of baronne/savage did honestly, especially in much lower power decks that need generic consistency cards.
Prosp to 1 makes sense when the top decks can setup full board then prosp, or use prosp as their first action to bait HTs
What is your take on Thunder Dragon Colossus in Branded with Either Dragondark/Hawk cheat out or Duality cheat out? @galzo
I actually agree with a lot of this: Prosperity, Skill Drain & Heavy Storm to 1, along with Albion & Flamberge getting banned for the reasons you said. Though for Flamberge, I think wanted getting limited would be more realistic.
I disagree on Magnamhut & Crossout full heartedly. The former at 1 is perfectly fine, especially since bystials aren’t really in format compared to past ones. I personally run Crossout at 2 in most decks, and can see it getting hit in the future. But since it was JUST reprinted, I think leave it as is for now.
A lot of the other cards mentioned I’m hit or miss on, though I would take I:P getting banned over Apollousa tbh, especially if they decide not to touch Flamberge.
Lastly, I think they need some preemptive hits: a lot of my friends who play OCG mention that Beatrice is a problem at the moment due to Fiendsmith allowing free special summoning so I’d push for that and Cesar getting hit ahead of INFO.
Oh and Air-Lifter back to 2.
10:24 for the most part tcboo was the broken one so I wouldn't say decks usually have 2-3 types and all the same attribute usually decks have same type and attribute
I would say that you have more decks that can play around TCBOO, but all 3 of them are toxic
@@chewdoom8415 Brother how is your cyberse pile, dinos, exosister, floo, blackwing, raidraptor, lyrilusc, purrely, adamancipator, ghoti, dragon link, marincess, salad deck playing around tcboo and I can keep going if you want
@@INib_ That's my bad. I was editing it but forgot to post. I realized i was only considering the decks that have been at the top in most sets, and that's unfair to most rogue decks. more recent decks. If they want an archetype to play around TCBOO or gozen then they make sure to consider that when designing, even if that means only means specific variants.
In my opinion, there are a lot of cards that could me placed, removed and rearranged on the ban list that would benefit the game quiet a bit, but a huge amount of Yu-Gi-Oh! community would have a uproar about how it would be unfair and favoritism for certain decks. I'm not saying there are good or bad/toxic decks but to give other decks some spotlight in competitive scenes, it would be beneficial to players and the game if there was a huge overhaul on card effects and responses to where things actually made since so people don't have a wrong idea on how cards work.
This video has honestly bad takes, respectfully, there are some decent ones but it feels like you are taking this perspective from ocg, and forgetting a fact that rogue decks need generic cards to compete tier 0-1 decks, there may be nutty strats inside archetypes, konami doesnt provide as much support to them until later notice seeing as how they are doing with upcoming archetypes and old ones too, theres some balance, people just have to find out truthfully
For the generic cards means you want konami to push out rogue decks and making the whole game uniform, ya feel me?
Im only fine with limiting prosperity if they somehow truly gut the pace/ powercreep of this game with an intelligent MR6 and/or a massive banlist. You cant justify bomb "i win" one card design like snash/ branded fusion/ ostinato/ any braindead advantage generator if some other archetypes are so bricky/and or so easily stopped by a single interruption without even having particularly oppressive endboards in the first place. I really like branded myself but cards like branded fusion are basically the bane of this game since their entire design philosophy hinges on reaching what could be considered an actual win condition on your turn 1, which then promotes this design of one side desperately trying to lock the other from even playing the game. Branded in red/white (or just needing to search for poly somehow first/ depending on albaz to fuse for you) is actually reasonable and involves more strategy. Im not saying branded fusion itself is the biggest issue with yugioh but im just using it as a perfect example of how crooked card design (and by proxy the game design) is at this point
I agree with all but crossout. It stays at 3. Your argument was terrible. With all the handtraps WE NEED something that can counter ALL OF THEM
I agree. Crossout is fair because the cost. Banishing one of your own hand traps makes it a fair trade
I actually disagree quite a bit with this. If your goal is to play through hand traps, there are plenty of options, like playing more extenders or non-engine like talents and gamma. The idea that banishing your own handtrap as a downside is also flawed, since the vast majority of the time, you were never gonna see that handtrap anyways, and if you were going to see it, you're probably deep into late game, where drawing engine to value out your opponent vs drawing a handtrap that probably isn't doing much in a complex board state, it seems obvious what you'd want to draw.
Sanctifire is an odd situation. I almost never want to see a card get an erratum, but Sanctifire is probably the best example of any yugioh card that should get one. Give it the restriction that the monster(s) summoned from your GY has to mention "Fallen of Albaz" and all of the sudden the card is fair enough as far as a yugioh boss monster goes and you don't have to ban it. Also you don't have to ban any of the multiple cards that started being abused with Expulsion and would just go back to being used by Sanctifire if Gimmick Puppet Nightmare was banned.
Crossout I think should stay at 3, and I think the same thing of it that I think of Droll. The card isn't cancer unless the format is cancer, and I don't think it's a stretch either in practice because remember when Crossout was a "flop" in TCG on release when most formats weren't mandatory 12+ handtrap formats? Called By should get banned though because I do agree with the overall argument that why have handtraps when you just have cards specifically designed to negate them? Also would get rid of another sack one-of card.
i dont want sanctifire to be banned mainly because of the lore, so i wish they would just make it into an errata card, as copium as it is lol
Leave the floodgate alone.
Ppl that have problems with the Wanted engine are gonna be shook when Whitewoods gets dropped on Masterduel
Wanted engine does not have any real synergy with them right now.
You are not searching beware
I really like these and some are pretty realistic but the flamberge ban is impossible, I think just an ash limit would almost be enough
Bystial Magnamhut is good at 1 stop cooping
My reactions + Takes to the proposed Banlist actions:
Already correct, Diabelstar engine is strong but in itself its fine, as said it helps other decks not to mention with white woods there is a direct diablestar theme coming up.
flamberge going + 10 is the issue, one can talk about Poplar but in the end either ban will kill the deck - good.
Apo hit is 0 IQ so would fit for konami - Apo is a balanced card, a strong one but shes not oppressive; and just like the silly list last time its treating the "symptoms" / enboard of SE instead of the fk the deck actually does. SE endboard is not the issue, its the 4 handtraps in hand and infinite pluses being recurred every turn.
If you say apo is to generic then we need to ban handtraps too since they are the "hidden power" of the SE decks anyway.
Imagine facing SE but they cant play 20+ non engine in their deck, it would still be strong but much more manageable.
Not to mention the silly hate on generic boss monsters, in a world full of generic handtraps and hundreds of decks without modern, enough of capable boss monsters.
And since you mentioned it at 3:00 - yes Apo IP and even savage werent issues for the last 2~ years since the Tear 0/1 decks during that time had strong in archetyp monsters theyd like to summon instead, but since snake eye only has Flamberge and kinda Promethan, they have to make these generic ones, and since they ++++++++++ so much they can do that a lot and constantly.
Again Apo is not an issue if konami gives us better meta decks...
Tbh. lot of based takes from a Branded player of all people - now if I find out he doesnt Puppet lock uff hed be yugioh patrick bateman.
Okay again correct, Baronne sweet QCR and Collector but you gotta stay banned, the other 2 didnt do nothing and can comeback at any point and make the game better for many players and not much worse if at all for others. Less so then them bringing back Monster Floodgates last list...
Prosperity is a bit iffy, I do agree that its pro stun and pro blow out (after side) so you are right, it just helps bricky decks as well to unbrick (idk mikanko for example); but yeah you are right.
(Melodious toxic??? what)
Ahh man too based and too correct - all my homies hat DBarrier!
And he calls for the end of Puppet lock - hes a man for the people of yugioh - prais be upon him in the name of Joshua Schmidt; yes if cards create stun to reliably they need to go.
Sure there can be exceptions, but puppet lock in this case is to frequent and also on a different level to idk to Hero with their Floodgates or idk Koa'ki Meiru drago what ever
Heavy storm can probably come back, i dont like it since I am building paleo tear right now ... but sure
Idk about Magna - maybe sure at some point somewhere he could be more problematic, but getting a dragon next turn mhm good but looking at all the DLink hits (like wtf did they do in the last years?) them having one is kay... Tenpai could be hit sometime, but the magna is not the issue with that deck - and voiceless is similar (tho weaker of course)
Tear take is nearly correct, they should free Ishizu tear and then no one would play cringe Snake Eye - format solved and freed from the Fire Trees.
But in a more reasonable way, sure Merrli to 2 does nothing - like without the millers the chance increase is so low
40 card deck : mill 3 --> +0.51%; mill 5 --> +1.68% chance increase (if I did the math right)
They can unban kit and it would help the deck a big lot, would it be the best deck - maybe but probably not and even if they did that - Tear was last """relevant""" 1.5 years ago now.
Skill drain to 1 - is a no brainer wtf is konami doing + other mentioned floodgates
- its simple logical journey here: Card at 3 you see it too often and it ruins too many games, if at 1 its a sacky random "win" and makes cards like prosperity (which in good times would just add the starter / extender you need) into searching for "silver bullets"
Shifter needs to go all my homies hate Shifter, decks with banish synergies are already strong enough since their breath is a counter to many normal decks; since the banish mecanic is so disruptive. Also like Droll, Dweller or Dbarrier - lingering floogate effects are worse then hitler and need to be banned asap. Shifter is better then Maxx C in many cases nowadays;
Some decks can set up a board in very few summons and then play on the opponents turn; not possible with shifter since its for 2 turns. Not saying unbann C - but ban Shifter NOW.
Overall many very based takes here - hope konami copies your homework! Take care m8
Limited branded fusion that needs to go to one
I think that flamberge could go to one of it gets banished somehow it means they're out of plays there's a lot of ways to banish it including crow also hit ash to 1 either one of those gets banished it severely crippled the deck also if they ban albion id appreciate it they give us a new fusion in return with similar effects but can't abuse gimmick puppet
Someone talked me into acknowledging a problem card that no one is discussing. It’s a generic piece of almost every end board that has been delinquent for years. Taking it away makes the snake eye end board super fair. It makes S:P little knight go from a toxic card to a really healthy card. It makes Appo a lot more manageable. I:P Masquerena is the problem. What does Snake Eyes do without it? S:P can’t be made on the wrong turn to take away its restriction and get an extra banish. Appo can be popped with any back row piece of removal. Hell Accesscode can’t be made as interruption. I:P is an incredibly unfair card that no one is talking about, especially in fire, and deserves the ban hammer
Apollousa isn't comparable to Borreload Savage Dragon and Baronne de Fleur, Apollousa only negates monsters and doesn't destroy. Borreload Savage Dragon and Baronne de Fleur were toxic cards and needed to go. Also crossout should stay at 3.
Savage doesn’t destroy either, sometimes I feel like that’s a big drawback
Savage was fair in my eyes, you had a chance to shut it down on its summon so it didn’t get its negate, the card had counter play compared to Baronne
@@PunchM3 I agree with that point. The activated effect to attach the link monster was a good design for the card.
@@PartyMarty321 I personally think the card could come back and it would do nothing like normal, the card required set up compared baronne.
@@PartyMarty321 it’s still an omni-negate, Apollousa isn’t.
The funny thing is that if Snake Eye's gimmick of putting things in spell and trap zones (kinda out of the blue) could have been much more beneficial to Crystal Beasts to give them some relevance. Not on the level of "Put 2 bodies on board if this goes to the grave and put monsters in spell and trap zones" but it could have been so much better.. Crystal Beasts are such a fun deck, but its gimmick was turned into such a different flavour of just op decks...
Centurion at least has some sense since they're mechs which "get on the load platform" and then launch
Snake Eye is just stupid
Now that you say that, snake eyes should’ve been made to support the crystal beast archetype since they both deal with creatures going into the spell zone. The archetype could’ve revolved around activating different effects depending on what kind/how many monsters are in the spell zone with the boss monsters.
@@childishe60 it's depressing that people don't notice this fact despite how obvious it is
Centurion can be excused cause like
Mechs, launch platforms excetera
But it's so fucking obvious how snake eye is wasted and horribly designed and crystal beasts deserved love, instead of this cancer that's ruining the game
Not talking about you.. just a rant about this community which is mostly self destructive since any opinion against the meta/state of the game which is obviously NOT ok gets called as worthless...
@@nael_luna I don’t know much about Centurion, but they don’t seem powercreeping like snake eyes. I feel you on the having an opinion against the meta. Most of the time, those are the competitive players that are both able and willing to keep up with the meta. And that’s okay, just like it’s okay to have an opinion against the meta. I like the card artworks but it doesn’t fit the theme of their mechanics, I was expecting more when I first heard about them and wanted to try them but I grew less interested. Hopefully Konami will hit snakes-eyes in the soon to be future but I don’t want them to kill it.
@@childishe60centurion is just calamity lock.deck
They can also use Dis Pater and other synchro 12 but mainly they just calamity lock very easily
And mainly I'd want them to kill snake eye because I hate how badly designed it is, it feels like it's done by using chat gpt...
Or at least like, ban flamebrrge and limit every level 1, so the deck becomes less playable and not a problem anymore. Let this format be more varied and give players a choice of what to play instead of just snake eye everywhere
Artwork wise.. I guess it's not my favourite but they have cool colour schemes
And yeah mainly it's competitive people who are ok with this or just those who want to be toxic online and call opinions stupid despite them being normal... let's wait for the announcement Konami wants to make on the 23rd I guess... they put this disclamer out a few days ago so I'm hoping it's either a huge banlist or a new master rule or something
I'm this close to quitting the game already. Wouldn't want to see it get any worse than it already is
@@nael_luna I think a ban to Flamberg will happen or at least limited. Knowing Konami it’s a profit game at this point because if it’s not affecting their pockets in a bad way then why would they ban it? Why not milk it until the next best thing comes to boost sales. I hate that it’s like that but it’s clear that the next meta deck is made to either check or rival the previous meta deck. If it’s something that almost all player base hates and it exposes Konami’s greed more then yes they’ll ban it immediately or if it’s taking over the game completely.
The bigger problem is that the powercreeping is beyond reversible without some major change which also leads to no originality. Either the next cards have to be better than the lasts to be desirable or they have to nerf the top decks for the new ones to compete. I was nearly ready to quit for those reasons since it seems like the playerbase is telling us “you have to play these decks and play them like this. If you don’t no yugioh for you.” I just appreciate the game fast pace and the lore, that somewhat missing.
Named quite a few RC2 cards 😂😂 maybe that was their plan since they did it on the first RC
It’s gotta be a sad format when you enjoy watching Stun decks and Floowandereeze and are fun to watch than Zzzznake eyes 😅💀
No matter the format, people will complain. All these decks that keep on topping along with SE.

Chimera variants
Whoa, hold up. Leave Gozen Match and Rivalry alone.
Agreeing on most i always thought that savage dragon is fine he was really only build for the omni where as baronne had 2 other strong effekts. Prosp is also a pretty toxic card even tho i dont like that it hits consistancy of alot of rogue deck that card is just nuts. Iam not a fan of the flamberge hit, iam pretty sure it would just boost fire king and kill pure snake eyes. Iam sure that hitting snake eye ash would be much better, it makes the deck less resiliant against veiler and imp while also lowering their ceiling a little. D barrier alongside all other floodgates rly should go. And also.... give us back some tear fusions!
Honestly good list. Would argue gpn over sanctifire however because Gimmick puppets will be a threat next format.
As long as beatrice is legal and easy to make outside BA every floodgate S/T should be at 0. Because you can then summon Gryphon to reset the S/T and lock your opponent out of the game.
So the only cards that should be on this list are Beatrice Poplar to 1.
As poplar is just a bad draw when you open it alongside any way to access the SE combo.
Those 12% (in 40 cards) or even 8% (in 60 cards) chance to open it is very risky if your deck already plays a lot of cards you don’t wanna see (Flamberge, Island, Phonix, OS SE etc). You would still allow SE to be an engine to go along other fire decks and you would create an interesting deck building challenge.
Also on a related topic:
How did Banshee and Promethean ever get created? Was it a bad day at Konami? Or did they just didn’t care about Gamebalance?
Because Promethean is the card that allows for so much degenerate stuff (Raging Phoenix Otk or extend with Hieta in any fire based deck) and Banshee allows any deck to access both Protos and Colossus that have the ability to play without their normal summon (3 Sapphire Pegasus and 1 Rainbow dragon crystal beast fuels enough for Colossus or cards like Ariane).
I mean both cards could have been easily fixed by limiting the level of the monster that they special summon (lvl 4 for banshee [as it is a lvl 4] and maybe fire link for Promethean [because it is is a link]) or negating the searched/special summoned monster (for Promethean it would be enough to hard lock her out of her second effect for the turn if she activates per player [to stop it from being an otk enabler on top of engine and disruption]).
I could go on and on and on forever.
But enough has been said already.
Have a nice day
Sanctifire over Gimick Puppet cause people can just use Jowgen if puppet is gone
Jowgen, ido, and puppet all need to go instead of incansendent

@@TheRengarde the difference of course being that with needlefiber the cards that were banned were tuners that were perfectly fine to exist on there own. In this situation jowgen, puppet, and ido these cards have never been healthy for the game, they are either unplayable or degenerate floodgates with no in between. For this reason these are the cards that should get banned that way other decks can’t abuse them in the future (especially white woods with jowgen) since incansendent dragon on its own is a balanced card.
@@juliandominguez4866ok well if cards like puppet are unplayable without sanctifire then why ban it? Jowgen I get, Ido is only really a problem if it’s on the opponents field which is facilitated by sanctifire. Out of the 3 cards you named 1 out of 3 were good enough to be ban worthy. Also you say ban them because they might be abused in the future however that’s a slippery slope, because you could make that same argument for Orthros (should DD lose one of their cards), Ra’s disciple, or any other monster that type, attri, or archetype locks your opponent.
Savage in d link is ok but in other decks is toxic decks that weren't designed to have omni megate is just toxic. I'm ok with d link having an answer to nib/evenly/raigeki ect. but I'm not ok with decks like mannadium or (in past) superheavy samurai or snake eye having a way to negate outs that were desogned to kill them
Pot of P is needed in almost every rogue deck. Hurts a ton of the community to limit a generic consistency piece.
Just play raidraptor phantom knights with both horus and adventure engine. Does a good job stopping any deck if you are a good pilot.
Yugioh is so awesome, we play this game waiting for Goldilocks formats that come once every 2 years for 3 months and the rest of the time contemplate quitting while begging for a banlist. Stockholm syndrome is strong with us 😤
Skill Drain to 1 hell nah keep it at 3. You are so hating
I'm enjoy to hear (from a Branded player) that Sanctifire is and stay a problem for the game, no matter Branded is (or not) the best deck
Because a lot of time, players who like the deck are non-objective with this card, even if it's the card that which make possible the lock with puppet of something other (if they ban Gimmick Puppet)
And for Linkuriboh, I hope Konami leave it from the ban section (my Dino deck implore that), because I think It was the wrong way to reduce the power of Snake-Eyes
Snake-Eyes must be touched in the engine to be hit
An other card than Apollousa I begin to ask myself more and more if it's fair for the game, it's Masquerena
Because it is too much generic, and strong to bring power cards like SP and Apo during opponent turn
I think the card is fair, but is use is sometime a problem in deck strategies.... (the better exemple is again SE, it is THE card you want on the end board to summon at the opponent's turn for make SP and do all the card advantage with Flamberge)
You dont want chicken game up to 3 the amount of ways you could abuse that card and the draw power it could generate with other combinations of card is not something we want while on the other hand saying prosperity down to 1 makes no sense
Bro clearly doesn’t like floodgates when they check combo decks.
Flamberge to 1 is a smart hit. Flamberge to 0 kills the deck.
I just don't get wanting to Ban Zealantis over Princess or even Diabellstar
Floodgates, lingering effect that lock you too much like dim barrier or shifter ban.
One card that can win you a game just because the opponent have not draw the out is such a pain in the ass, loosing a game should be due to a good board control, ressource management or good combo that lead to defeat the other, not just use one effect that lock the other from playing.
I think banning Original Sinful Spoils is betted than banning flamberge. Helps progress diabellstars storyline into white woods and removes the connection she has with snake eyes. Eliminates 6 starters for pure snake eyes also.
Banning OSS just invalidates the deck, banning Flamberge just makes it fair.
@@hatefulgaming1800and not only that deck specifically but any other fire deck that used it as a engine to see their decks lvl1 monster hit the field, Rescue Ace/Infernoid/Fire King (hoping we get Ulkanix so it could be its own deck)
@@PartyMarty321 Rescue and fire king are still viable without them, with the latter having a new monster that the tcg will get eventually.
Rescue is just in a worse spot already without baronne or savage to protect backrow.
I think Zealantis is fine and find I:P the more reasonable hit to be done in the near future.
I:p is such a busted card.
Apo is definitly a card to be banned soon
I would love to see linkuriboh and savage unbanned.
Pot of prosperity at 1 is a awesome hit i know from master duel format where it feels like a cool 1-off stapel or consistency piece and not like the busted „handpick your starting hand“ every game when it‘s unlimited…
I love Magnamhut at 1. he feels like a busted 1-off for dragons. Same as Levianeer. Therefore i would not touch that
SECOND TEAR TAME LET‘S GOOO!!! That‘s a sub right there! You got me!
Crossout to 1 sound like a dream to me! Love that in Master Duel!
Great Banlist approach!
That‘s just my opinion. Don‘t feel offendet if my opinion hurt anybody
Prosperity at 1 is BASED.
Infernity Launcher to 3!! 💪💪💪
Hit all the pots to 1 if u gonna hit that one
First problem is listening to farfa, but great video and your 4k branded deck Is insane lol but congrats.
Jesus players are ridiculous they cried over floodgates, then borreload and baronne now they crying about apo it's just crazy. Surprised they aren't crying about handtraps. But sorry you lost me at prosperity and d barrier. How many more defensive cards need to get hit? Players are never happy
Man my d-link can’t get a break from getting hit on the banlist, give me my guardrails back or something is they just going to ban all the other cards.
I agree with everything you said, konami should take this video as an example for their banlist for real
They will just hey Will field card and it there no cost to it
I really don’t want Tearlament to come back. If you bring their names back, at least get rid of the shufflers
As a Buster Blader Rogue that has been inconsistent until I stumbled upon Magnamhut…please don’t ban Magnamhut. That’s the only search I have for my Whelp starter other than running a bricky Sage of Eyes of Blue 😭 Take away Sanctifier. Fine. Idk. I can play without that. I don’t Gimmick Puppet anyways but it’s in my deck because I only gimmick when someone floodgates me to give them a taste. Otherwise, I go for OTK.
>Wants bystials banned and Merrli semi limited
Surely you're not just a delusional tear player /s
Tiaraments strongest
He is a branded player. Also, he suggested magnamhut ban only. People have to stop twisting stuff
Keep prosp alone just ban fire and ban puppet too
I personali think that shifter ist toxic but IT s often a meta conter and it ist Not Playabel in that many Decks so Lave Deck Like for exampel our Favorit birds a live
I hate when people want cards ban that did nothing wrong like puppet and calamity. When the actual problem cards are crimson dragon and albion
Runick engine absolutely cannot go another list without getting hit
Please, please, please. Pre emptively hit beatrice before fiendsmith comes out
I haven’t played in over a month. I haven’t missed it. I’ll probably come back in a few months. 😂
i just want red rose dragon back
If we limited pot, then bring back maxx c to semi limited or three
@3:00 wait... are you telling me no other top tier meta deck has ever abused apo until snake-eyes (looks at adamancipator)? It's never been part of the un-interactive end-boards that (finally) yugioh players are starting to rally against? Generic extra monsters can be fine yes, S:P (NOT I:P) is arguably fine, ty-phon is fine, etc. Apollo USA is nothing but a glorified floodgate. You either have the out through imperm or talents, or your opponent negates every single monster effect you play that turn (since you usually run out of them and lose before appo runs out of attack).
@3:40 please for the love of god do not bring back those degenerate cards. In no situation is any game that those cards appear in meaningfully better. There's no good dynamic from savage existing, it's just a boring free omni-negate, and linkuribo along with all other link 1's in the game should be banned forever. Just because these poor designs aren't as bad as others does not mean that having them banned is not a net positive for the game.
I think Cross Out is a healthy card in a hand trap heavy format. before snake eyes people rarely played it. We shouldn't punish cards based on the formate snake eyes created. We should hit snake eyes and not the cards that are run because of it.
So you find every single card you don’t like and suggest to ban them? Lol. Too much bias in the video
If Skill Drain gets Limited or Banned, Snake-Eye will just move to using Deck Lockdown because they can still send the floodgate away whenever they want on their turn just like with Skill Drain.
Only with Diabellstar in that case because you can';t activate the Snake-Eyes effects to summon from deck under Deck Lockdown
@@KaitlynFedrick as long as you have a legal target to summon from hand, you can still send deck lockdown with snake-eyes so it's still usable, just not as good as skill drain
@@MonkUnitBrawl sure but that's not at all consistent and most your hand will be low on engine due to hand traps
@@KaitlynFedrick true, but they'd still use lockdown like they do with skill drain where they just drop it at the end of the combo and pass turn
@@MonkUnitBrawl I don't think they would - at that point it'd make more sense to just play a single turn floodgate that doesn't cut them off their own follow-up end stop them OTKing on the following turn
I am infuriated that people think wanted being able to pull level 1 fires out of deck is “good design”. THERE’S OTHER SINFUL SPOILS BESIDES DIABELLSTAR. IT’S BAD DESIGN THE ONLY ONE USED OUT OF TEN OR SO TARGETS IS USED. Other decks can use diabellstar that aren’t just level 1s. Spellcaster decks would love rciela, illusions being able to use the trap would be great. Original sinful spoil is a stupid card. Needs to be banned
As an altergeist player id rather linkuriboh stay banned. I have other options that are fairer
So we trying to just kill snake-eye...flameburge to 1 is fine. but banning it just kills the decks main capabilities and turns it to a tier 2 deck
I’d be okay with Flamberge and maybe Ash to 1, you’d have to manage resources along with recycle using OSS later in the game. Their choke points would also be very apparent, one bad thing would be that those limits plus maybe a limit/semi limit on WANTED would make room for Snake-Eye to just fit Crossout Designator.
Honestly since D Barrier doesn’t work for links just ban all the link monsters, problem solved
i don't get why Konami let bonfire and wanted needs to go as 1 just like ROTA...
In bonfire's case you would be limiting a new once per turn for type that has just started to get good support after at least a decade, all for the sake of minimizing direct hits to one archetype.
@@chewdoom8415 not exactly Snake-eyes is a shit deck, the problem is the fact that Rota has the same effect but is almost a decade limited.
@@fromake I have seen this argument before. You may not agree with the logic behind it, but ROTA is not once per turn and gives you more consistent access to multiple engines. Not saying that I agree, but ROTA at least has a bunch of targets that act as starters or give engine.
If you are going to use that logic then do it when the card pool has more good targets. If you feel that same way about cynet mining or tenki then I can respect you for standing by firm principles, but if this is only aimed ar bonfire then it is purely bias because of SE.
@@chewdoom8415 Respect ? don't be pathetic using the excuses that you miss my pioint spelling dogshit, don't be a dipshit misleading the coment just to proctect a shitty deck that you may like it.
Snake Eyes heas already too many starters but the point isn't this for the past year konami is making too many problematic engines without a proper countermeasures, kashtira, tearlaments enake eyes...
flamberge ban, sharvara back to 3
Lost me at mag
As a branded player I want to keep Albion, obviously, but I think banning it would force a lot of branded players to get more creative, which is something that deeply interests me. The amount of diversity branded can have is crazy
That why i dropped modern for goat and edison,so much better
Branded player wants Rivalry banned UHMMM Curious (I agree btw)
ask snake eyes players what they think of rivalry XD
Farfa said it and he´s right.
It wasn´t only YCS Indi. Today, italian nationals concluded and Top 4 was all snake-eyes. And I believe even in the whole top cut, there was mainly snake-eyes in there.
I don´t hate the fact of one deck so oppressive.
I HATE THAT KONAMI DOES THIS SH*T ON PURPOSE.
WE HAVE HAD OPPRESSIVE ONE DECK FORMATS FOR TOO LONG NOW GOD DAMN IT.
Konami is just messing with everyone and now seems to care enough to step up against it. They are absolute menaces to the health of the game since they don´t care about balance and healthy gameplay at all. They just want profit exclusively.
Just wait. Once there won´t be any snake-eyes support, they ban this stuff so we all need to buy another new deck that destroys the format. It sucks so hard.
But ... Barrier of Stormwind wasn't banned because of Floowandereeze...
