If you haven't figured it out RUclipsrs are purposely driving up the prices so they can make money off the watches and you when you buy the card and they got lucky to pull the cards in early openings and then sell them for an insane amount of money.

@@MattOsheaYGO yeah and that loses to super poly, droplet and dark ruler. You make apo with rage and sheep and you still have varudras now your rage is in the gy protected from breakers. But to each their own
@@ottfriedteske2977 I never understood why people don't go for Chamber instead of Escape. It lets you use the Rage, and sets up protection if a boardwipe happens.
Another flaw of the engine is that Spirit of Yubel is kind of a Garnet since Throne only Destroys from deck so if you draw it and can't return it to the deck the engine is kinda dead so you either have to play to Spirit which unless it's in the Yubel deck is still a brick or you just play 1 and just pray you don't draw it
all you have to do instead is destroy the original yubel from deck and shuffle the og one in your GY and the spirit in hand, and the combo still works :)
Nah... Without a banlist, if the format remains SE pure dominant, the Yubel engine is going to flop hard. SE is way better even with Fiendsmith around. I expect Phantom of Yubel to go down in the upcoming weeks and probably spike up again if the banlist does in fact kills Snake Eye

Question: would I just need only a single copy of Phantom for Yubel Unchained? Or do i really need 2 if i wanted to have that deck? I can get by with my 2 copies of Throne.
I think 2 is nice to have either way. Let's say you have to use it on your own turn, you want to have another one ready to summon before you pass over to the opponent. If you need to go into it more from there, you can use Nightmare Throne to recycle it.
Exactly, I feel like 3 copies take up way too much of the extra deck and at that point you use 3 to use all 3 of them in the first turn and maybe link one of them away for an Apo
I hate how over priced cards can get, short printing cards from a box that literally has the boss cards advertised and desired for competitive play is unacceptable, we really need to regulate card companies more strictly by making sure play sets of high sought after valued cards are higher printing in VARIOUS rarities, rather than JUST a few or single rarity, and short printing them. Like I would gladly play a full playset of Yubel in nothing but common if it means to have easier access to high value playing cards, that are not short printed, but the higher rarity variants being short printed is fine, so you can actually seek out those rarity variants, but have access to these cards in some form of fashion. This lets you have value still with the rarities of these cards, as collectors still can seek these short print versions, while having alternatives for playing the game at an affordable rate. I am not going to pay approximately $300-400 just for a play set of Yubel... It's a very simple fix, but it depends on Konami.
Better swallow your pride and get your copies at the price it's at now. Because once fiendsmith gets closer the price will only spike. I myself is contemplating getting a 3rd copy.
@@InfernitBlu88 there is no swallowing pride, there is a nice little thing called proxying. i dont care if i have to wait a year, i only play casually with my friends where we can proxy as much as we want. sucks for anyone else wanting to play it at there locals though.
Curious to see if people will try and make this engine work with something like Fiendsmith when thay releases or if itll become a popularity contest between the two respective engines
@@pwmueller1 of course people won’t buy the set… in 1 month you won’t have enough space for more than 2 copies. The card is way too strong but you need combo cards too
That’s what I do in my combo. It lets you have 3 disruptions in th form of a trap card so it counter droplet, poly, and dark ruler. Also if your opponent uses dark ruler no more or droplet ad you have the fiend smith field negate fusion you can chain link 2 the trap and the chain link 3 to negate the board breaker.
I don't think it's worth it's price tag. I'm assuming the price will drop and if it doesn't then lol I'll sell the field spell since I got lucky and got two copies before it spiked insanely high on the preorders and it was an unsuccessful strategy.

for the 1 card combo, i prefer having more varied interruption. Apo loses to a single imperm, the endboard of varudras, rage, phantom doesnt

Appolousa would be smarter thats why chsmber makes more sense than escape , make apo reborn rage in opponents turn

if they only have throne and 4 handtraps then yes, the combo is gone

Fiendsmith will be an engine for yubel. Watch trinityygo who puts this to great effect. Once fiendsmith comes to pre-order you bet I'm jumping on it

My locals has a few cases, and 7 boxes have been opened by players. Only 1 phantom in those boxes...
