      Story was kinda add and minus some point.
      Urban legend was a businessman has a twin daughter. One was normal and other was half snake. And eversince the snake girl was born their business became good and then they were able to build mall. To preserve the luck the make a den beneath the mall. At night the snake girl do tour around the mall. The more she grow the more the business became si successful. So from poultry they started to feed her humans. Victims are not only girl. More on shop lifters.

    As a nursing student at that time, we were all talking about the skeletal remains that is allegedly Jovelyn. Even our professors are kinda skeptical because of how fast the body decomposed. It’s kinda crazy to think that there is a chance that the police and the mall might’ve actually tried to hide the truth.

    I'm from Egypt and this used to happen more than a decade ago. Women would go in to changing rooms and just vanish in to thin air. One incident were a guy and his wife went to a clothes store and she went in to the changing room and vanished. The husband didn’t stay put and searched high and low for her. The husband was a police officer so he had the upper hand. He eventually found out the truth. The changing room was an elevator staged as a changing room. Once a woman gets in, it activates and they kidnap her for organ trafficing. I don’t remember honestly if he found his wife dead or alive but i think she was dead because her organs were missing. After that case, these kinds of abductions miraculously stopped. But organ trafficing still exists and way worse than before, they changed their tactics to go under the radar. What a world we live in.

I guess I'll have to teach her to buy the clothes and try them on later. I'm so terrified for when my daughter goes to college and she's only 15. For those wondering how to check a mirror to see if it's one way: Try looking through it. Trick mirrors require the observation room to be roughly 10 times dimmer, so if you cup your hand to make a tunnel around your face you should be able to see through it if it's false. You can also try sounding it out by tapping your knuckle. Regular mirrors are butted against a wall and should make a dull thumping sound.

    • @kicunya12
      @kicunya12 5 месяцев назад +121

      There's a finger test for two way mirrors: put a fingertip on the surface of the mirror, if there's a space between finger and reflection - it's a regular mirror; if there's Not space - it's a two way mirror. No space, leave the place!

      Local police are f*cking corrupt. There's a saying here that good men don't join the force because they would not be able to stomach the corruption that goes on in there. They are great at planting fake evidence on civilians if they need to meet a quota or want to look good. Children are fair game to them. Civilians here are terrified of the police. We would rather defend ourselves tbh because we can never really tell the officers' true intentions.

To the point where their current pension will basically destroy our economy. So they can commit human rights violations WITH THE HELP of the police force. No good and intelligent men join the force. Yup one of the reasons why immigration is so strict when it comes to pinoys leaving the country, but some people are just so unaware how prevalent human trafficking is in our country and get mad when they're offloaded etc. Trafficking is so bad every young filipino has heard of the white van legend at least once in their lifetime.

    It is genuinely very very easy to end up with a false confession. I mean it's awful but we still have many people who can't seem to wrap their mind around a confession being false especially when they are sitting on a jury, and have witnessed the confession on tape. It has led to multiple innocent lives ruined and even taken.

    Having lived in the Philippines for the first 20 years of my life, I know corruption is pretty much the norm there. Even regular people with a little bit of money can cheat the system so easily.
    There is definitely an authority figure behind this, and they have connections with the police. That’s the only way the police would know where the body is if the cousins are innocent, which I truly believe. There’s no way these simple folks have the means to make the body decompose so quickly.
    There’s many leads in this case, but I doubt anything will be done in the end. That’s just how it is in the Philippines 😒

    Stephanie!! You forgot the part wherein on the night Jovelyn was missing, a police (who’s also Jovelyn’s school instructor) sent her a facebook message asking where she was and that her mom’s looking for her. People found it weird because Jovelyn hasn’t been active at school for 2 months and the messages seemed so casual as if they knew each other. People conspired that he sent that message so that he won’t be a suspect.
    Turns out he likes Jovelyn but she didn’t like him back. He would even comment on her photos that she looks like a doll. This was all revealed by her friends/classmates on Raffy’s show. Raffy then demanded that he should be a person of interest. This was all buried because of new revelations and that he apparently has a strong alibi.
    People didn’t believe this because the night Jovelyn disappeared, August 5, was the guy’s birthday. And his messages were sent on August 6 at 12:53am. She wasn’t even officially declared as missing during that time and Jovelyn’s mother also allegedly didn’t know who the guy was so his messages didn’t make any sense. Also, remember the sedan found on the cctv that Jovelyn allegedly rode? The guy who sent her the messages owns a sedan. However, the sedan evidence found on the cctv was buried because the investigator was just tired and sleepy when he made that statement on Raffy’s show!! Also, people are suspicious of him because who has time to message a missing student of yours at 1am when you’re tired of celebrating your birthday. The case is so complicated.

    This happened to someone that my former boss knew. It was a girl that my boss' friend was dating and brought to a foreign country (I forget the country). This story was shared with me back around 2003. Girl went missing inside a retail store. Boyfriend was confused and sworn she was in there yet no where to be found. After authorities came they found that the mirror in the dressing room led to a tunnel. It was a two way mirror (meaning in a dark environment, the person in the lighted environment would never know). That mirror covered a passageway to the tunnels. It was clearly designed to abduct and to kidnap.
    I heard she got rescued but was never quite the same in the head after.
    Be aware and informed. Stay safe. 🙏
    ps: with regards to the urban myth, wouldn't it be easy to search for trap doors in the dressing rooms? I'm aure with social media today, one can lead a movement of curious fans to go 'hunt' for such trap doors in that very mall.

There's wars, massacres and ethnic-cleansings across Africa that get little or no coverage. Human sacrifice for good fortune is big in some parts of Africa, especially if you're albino or sometimes even family members kill their own. There's incidents from places like China and Myanmar that never make it to the news. Infanticide is rampant in India.

    This case is so so suspicious. I feel like there’s a cover up going on especially with the police. It’s really horrible that the police pinned the crime on the cousins when there is no evidence linking them to the crime even though they confessed. Although even though the cousins weren’t involved in her death, I think they still could’ve been involved in kidnapping her and she was brought into human trafficking. She made it out of the mall but she met with foul play while waiting for her bus. It’s also possible that while she was waiting for the bus, someone asked her if she would like a ride home and they ended up abducting her. Also, I’ve never heard of that legend from the Philippines about the human snake. That is the craziest story I’ve ever heard.

    • @CrowClouds
      @CrowClouds 4 месяца назад +6

      That footage was so fuzzy that the family couldn't even confirm it was her, so it would be very easy for police to say oh, here's grainy footage of a random girl waiting for the bus, which is what they did. So there's zero reason to believe that was her. Which means that she was somehow abducted from inside the mall. And the fact that the mall refused to release footage means that they are the prime susprects.

    This is my real experience actually, our(me and my mom) real experience. When we were in a public restroom in a famous Mall specifically Robinson, the restroom were full of queue, every door has queue... And we still lined up. Minutes passed until my next turn, behind me was my mom. We waited and waited... Until more than 5 minutes or more has already passed, and no one got out of the cubicle... I mean we could notice it since the room were so full of people, and that time there is no such thing as physical distancing. And I decided to push the door a little and we were surprised, that all this time we waited for nothing. I really know that someone has gone inside the cubicle! But no one got out? That was the biggest mystery of my life. So somehow I believe in the urban legend of this specific Mall... The Tarot cards actually originated from the Playing Card deck. It falls in like with your thoughts as they originally were referred to centuries ago as "The Game Of Life". Not meant to be "concrete". However, there have been many times in my 45 years of card reading that information has really been precise and right on. You would love reading.
