the rage engine for vehicles made it feel like cars in gta 4 had some weight to them. it made the driving actually enjoyable rather than gta 5's bland and plain driving.
GTA V vehicles basically have no suspension, the wheels just sort of “drop” when they are faced with an abrupt decrease in elevation and the vehicle’s body barely moves or responds to that. GTA IV has a more appropriate, if not somewhat exaggerated suspension response. Ideally something in between would be the most ideal I think.
Its because gta v's vehicles bottom out way too early. 4:17 you can see how the suv bottoms out even tho the body isn't even touching the ground unlike the van which the body scrapes on the ground
GTA 4 has superior physics but the developers probably found it annoying to drive with that kind of "realism" in GTA 5 that has a lot of off-road and mountains so they changed it to make it worse but simpler
Gta 4 is again excellent in both human physics and car physics. Gta 5 resulted in a complete decrease in physics. I hope Gta 6 will have physics close to Gta 4!
People complain that GTA IV had way better physics than GTA V, but they often forget that GTA IV was hated when it was released, because of the physics. It felt too realistic, and according to what people used to say back in the day, "it didn't feel like a GTA game". Realism is good, yeah, but when it affects gameplay, then it's not always good.
This is where preferences come into play. If you want realistic gameplay, you should play Gta 4. If you want arcade and fast-paced entertainment, then you should play Gta 5. Also, this happened to Gta 5 when Gta 5 was released. Many people started to miss the realism of Gta 4.

Rockstar at its finest. They fcked up with balancing the feature and then just removed it at all.

No GTA v do have suspensions it's have little bit GTA iv is too heavy
Even in a small turn in just tilted but in GTA v it feels like real life small turn doesn't tilt only in fast turns

Gta 4 did more better tbh
Indeed comrade
I hope GTA VI has GTA IV driving mechanics, GTA V is still good but way too linear imo.
GTA V has great physics but
GTA IV has WAY BETTER physics than real life. I wish real life had GTA IV physics
Unpopular opinion.
The physics in GTA 4 is too exaggerated
GTA IV is the only game where it has better physics than real life
Exaggerated comment Fr@@Reed_Peer

honestly I just prefer the weight of the cars over than just playing it arcade because it's more challenging for me to drive
