Because we all grow and we all have hobbies and different lifestyles but that doesnt change the core of friendship - love for them, not for their lifestyles and also, bestfriends dont need to meet up everyday and hang out, it's bout being there for emotional support and stuff. my bestfriend(s) snd i have been bffs for over 10 years, and it's not because we meet each other everyday, it's because we stuck by each other even though we're apart

I think others can look at your relationship with Yoni and be like that’s a little unhealthy to put everything into one person and not to spread your energy and time with anyone else in your life. I agree with Yoni when he says that best friends can come in different shapes and sizes and you don’t need to see them regularly but there’s that deep rooted connection and similar core values that will bring the two of you back together. I am married and I can say that my husband is my best friend, so three of my other girlfriends that I can trust with my whole heart.
I personally think the key to a full life is all about balance, and that balance can come from having different people in your life that bring out different energy and vibes. Friendship and relationships are such a special aspect to us.

I think as we get older it becomes normal to have multiple "best friends". I have a few from high school, a couple from college, and a couple that I made in my adult life. Many of these people now live in different states/cities but we still have a special bond, talk regularly, and always pick up where we left off when we get to see each other in person 1-2 times per year. These are just the type of people that I communicate with regularly and have spent/spend a lot of 1-on-1 time with. It's great to feel that way with your partner but I think it's important to have people outside the relationship to have fun with, vent to, and rely on as well! I wonder if Alia's discomfort with the word best friend may be rooted in feeling like she hasn't had a singular "best friend" during her adult life, but I don't think it's like that! Having multiple is normal

I don't think comparing a lover with a close friendship or expecting to establish the same bond with your friend as you did with your lover is fair. Because I also had a boyfriend who was a very bff of mine, just like yours, and I have 3 close friends. The things I share and do with my bf are different, and my bond with my friends is different. It is possible to have both at the same time. Sometimes your friends understand you better than your significant other, and sometimes the opposite happens. Your lifestyle doesn't have to be the same as your lover's or your friends to establish a good bond. Friendships add value and joy to life as much as lovers and family. Maybe Alia thinks so sharply about friendship doesn't work because she hasn't experienced such a friendship yet. It's nice episode tho, make me think about so much thing. so thanks :)
