- The next patch for Mowzie's Mobs will feature new animations for player abilities driven by Geckolib! It's built on top of a new player ability framework I created to make adding new spells and moves super easy. These features will come first in a patch to make way for the Sculptor's addition and a geomancy upgrade in a later update.

This is genuinely amazing, I’m trying to learn how to code again and your tutorials really teach a lot.
You’re super talented at modding and clearly understand animations, my thought process is to bring something like the red wolfs fight from elden ring and bring that into Minecraft with it having a similar running animation to those from fresh animations. During its fight it would summon glowing swords that would shoot towards the player as it runs circles around them, occasionally going for the upfront hit and backing off similar to your naga AI.

Well...I have been playing your mod too much since at this point I had a dream where the sculptor was already added and he had an underground cave-like structure where you had to do his challenge. Sounds crazy but it's true.

Edit: I noticed that you were able to summon suntrikes quicker than normal, i hope that is intentional, because i really like that. It makes the abillity more true to the original that Barako uses

@@davidmarques1793 No, no more changes. The price of the Sun’s Blessing is configurable! You can change both the item and the amount that Barako wants.

The spells are already out! You can disable the mobs in the mod config files.

No. There’s no built in way to do this. It requires a ton of custom code and other mods might want to do it differently.

0:01 0:03 My favorite parts since the mod is now broken when I use it with the Mutants md Rhex. Along with a villager knight mod if u combine them all in minecraft world, the world crashes.

The particles are normal Minecraft particles with custom textures. The beam itself is a rendered quad facing the camera

Sure! I subscribe to the first person render event, cancel it, and render my own model of the player’s hand instead. Then I can animate it however I want.

@@BobMowziewait so you’re saying your first person hands are custom entities with the player’s arm textures ? If so what geckolib entity class were chosen for the arms and how’d you cover up the gecko arm model with a player’s skin?
@@jbmandri6675 No, there are no custom entities involved. I render them directly, with no entity.
The geckolib render type and animatable type are completely custom.

@@Lu876-zd5iv yeah so it’s actually a trick! I cancel the vanilla player renderer and render my own instead.

@@suslovila5208 On 1.7.10? Well, Geckolib won’t be an option. You’ll have to use LLibrary and code your animations one pose at a time. You’ll also have to study some animation principles to make them look good. As for how to code the animations, all the wiki pages explaining the system seem to be gone. The only thing I can recommend is reading my code.

Hey Bob. I found a bug. Naga spawns too, TOO OFTEN. When I played Minecraft with mods there were 8-9 Nagas on mountain.
Which version of the mod are you using?
You can turn down naga spawns using the mod’s config file.

@@huggerson The Geckolib API has code that helps load these animations into the Java version of the game.

You cannot do this in MCreator. I do not use MCreator to make my mods because it is limited.
The laser beam requires custom rendering code.

I can't make this into a tutorial. There's no system for it, so it required a ton of custom code. It would take hours and hours to set this up on a video.

Blender is a better program for animating, but you can’t bring Blender animations into your mod

This is not a directly supported feature. I had to write a custom system to do it. Feel free to copy my code from my Github

@@BobMowzie thanks, i really want to try understand this because i know how to use geckolib for animating my entities, but not for animating the player, my guess is that you imported a steve model in blockbench and animated it, but the problem (for me) is in the java files, if you could introduce me more to player animations i would appreciate it

There's no set way to do this. My implementation is entirely custom and requires tons of custom code. A tutorial wouldn't help you, but you can try copying my code from the Mowzie's Mobs Github.

I used geckolib to make the animated player, and I override the real player renderer in game to use mine instead.
