Beloved of God, God is merciful to the just and the unjust. So be cautious in mistaking Gods mercy toward you as a reflection of you being righteous and just. Especially since the doctrine of the sda in many areas contradict sound doctrine. For example the term and theory of investigative judgement only came about by the sda movement after their failed prophecy about Jesus's return in 1844 as an explanation of the error. Rather than repenting of this prediction their perverted the scripture to justify their false narrative. As it relates to the sabbath it was first mentioned in the bible 2500 years after creation. This is not a coincidence as Deuteronomy 5:15 & Nehemiah 9:14 tell us exactly when, where, why and to whom it was given. Furthermore, Genesis 49:10, Psalms 147: 19-20, romans 9:4, hebrews 10:1 tell us that the israelites were the only nation God give the law of moses to and this law was only temporary and a shadow of the things to come (Messiah)not the things themself. There is no Sunday keeping commandment in the New Testament. Believers met on the first day of the week to commemorate the resurrection of Christ and celebrate it on Easter Sunday. There's liberty in Christ concerning days. I am not a Sunday keeper. Non ADVENTISTS are called Sunday keepers and that is propaganda, possibly to make Christians look bad and uplift sabbath keeping. It's so arrogant to call themselves the true church or remnant because they keep the sabbath day, and it's not even a New Testament commandment. SDA church members are actually followers of Ellen White. If they really followed Jesus, then they would leave. There is no sabbath commandment in the New Testament. Ellen White's invented heresies cannot be found in the New Testament. Jesus said what he said. He warns Adventists out of love that they might be saved from believing lies. Thousands of abortions have been performed in adventist hospitals according to Andrew the SDA whistleblower. What happened to the commandment against murder? Adventists are in a Babylon world of their own. They also sing songs written by the "Sunday meeters." There is no hate for Adventists or the sabbath day. On the contrary, they are the one's who have said hateful things like "go to hell" for one instance. Nothing hateful has ever been said to them, but the defenses go up when bringing truth concerning the sabbath day. It has been exalted to the point of fetishization. The Sabbath was made at creation. Therefore God created the Sabbath for man. Keep in mind there were no Jews at the time. Because truth is established with many "witnesses" to the same topic and not with verses taken out of context. The law in this context refers to the law of Christ which not only exists now but existed from the very beginning of creation. You see God does not change. From the beginning love of God and neighbor was the commandment. He’s talking about God specifically not Jesus AND CONTRASTING CIRCUMCISION AT THE BEGINNING OF THE CHAPTER WHICH IS CLEARLY THE LAWS OF MOSES. What an astounding revelation this was! I'm happy to note the many who remained faithful to God, or returned to continue their journey with their Saviour, but there are also many who succumbed to the pull of the world or let the attitudes of others drive them out of the church. As an Anglican child who was taken to the Adventist Church by my mother's friend, and made the decision to be baptized at twelve years, I can testify to the Lord's leading in my life up to this time, and I am a retiree. No regrets. You never lose when you allow the omnipotent, Almighty God to lead you. And the best is yet to come!!! I pray that those who have left will return before it's too late.

@Mike Flanagan Beloved of God i am in agreement with much of what you have said. But permit me to point out an error in your interpretation of Matthew 24:20. Two events are beginning prophecied here, one is the invasion of Jerusalem and its destruction in 70AD and the other is the Judgement day of the world. If you refer back to the question the disciples asked Jesus you would recognize they actually asked about both events. Jesus in his answer to them addressed both and at points in subtle ways. The mention of the sabbath is for the jews who are in Jerusalem in 70 AD because the sabbath is a more vulnerable time to be attacted. Remember the sabbath is directly linked to the past of the jews (Deut 5:15) so even in the new covenant in Christ they are the nation/people who are justified in continuing its observation. The non-jew is not obviously. Please receive my comments with an open mind. I am not sure what role the sda cult will play in the final persecution of true believers but for sure they will be on the wrong side. Grace and peace

I was. raised as Adventist! I left the church about 1956. They were to self righteous and greedy. I have have come to believe that they are a cult due to the isolation and censorship, especially in their boarding schools and factory's!
I went to Pine Forge in the mid 80's & Magic Johnson's sister was a teacher/staff there. She even had Michigan license plates. I remember her Jheri curl which we all had. 😁

Left 51 yrs ago. They saw the devil under every shrub. After a big shot within the church molested my 2 kids, I realized I didn't ever want to return. Spent 14 yrs in their schools and learned little except the bible. In a joyful religion now and no longer have fear hanging over my head 24/7.

THEY Hated us kids because we were such a burden on them! They started to get rid of us when we were 13 years old- the perfect solution was to send us to the church boarding schools, where we worked in their tax free factory's at 35 cents an hour! I felt like a slave ! We were expected to pay all our room and board and was even ask to pay tithing!

Developed a good work ethic, and managed to have some fun along the way. Helps if you make the best of it don't you think? I kept working hard and ended up getting accepted into a great medical school and had to work REALLY hard there, but if I felt like complaining, I would just remember that woodshop where I could have still been working!! Spent 35 years as an anesthesiologist. Thanks to good teachers, hard work and sometimes very difficult experiences to hone off the rough edges I can say, "Thank God for loving Seventh-day Adventists!!

MOST are only Adventist by name worldwide which is why the majority will be cast out...doesn't matter their celebrity...in the end, apostasy is apostasy, and people will be judge based on what they knew and had a chance to know for themselves. However you choose to classify them in/out/inbetween the faith, just be sure to Pray for these folks...no telling what Hellywood has them entangled in.
Brian McKnight stands out to me, he is alive. He is committed and generational in his dependence on the seventh day Adventist faith according to some sources. Its good to see someone that takes faith seriously and has done so since being a child.
I'm sorry so many of them has departed from the faith. Hope those that are still alive will recommit before its too late. The sabbath was given only to the israelites nation at mount sinai (Exodus 31: 13, Nehemiah 9:14, psalms 147: 19-20) as a symbolic reminder of their deliverance from the eyyptians by God because now they were able to rest from the slave labour they were subjected to(Deuteronomy 5:15). We are children of God by faith not of works. This is the beginning when Hebrews and blacks were mixing. Of course Jacob and Joseph are descendants of mother Sarah. Jacob's sons mixed with Africans- Canaanites included Judah who the Messiah came through, and his descendant who hooked up with of the woman of (Jericho Canaan- Africa). @@brianlakieth it just depends on which and who. EGW was Methodists and accepted the Trinity. The Trinity is a difficult doctrine. Many early Christians in the 1st century did not accept this doctrine. They were labeled heretics by the Catholic Church and snuffed out. Most people can't explain trinity vs triune and various people has differing interpretations. You have to accept it by faith.

If you as a movement can get the trinity (Genesis 1:26) wrong which is a denial of Christ identity and divinity, what else did they get wrong? I became a SDA when I was 18, 19 years old, I'm 47 now and still a acting member of the faith, God as been good to me.
Beloved of God, God is merciful to the just and the unjust. So be cautious in mistaking Gods mercy toward you as a reflection of you being righteous and just. Especially since the doctrine of the sda in many areas contradict sound doctrine. For example the term and theory of investigative judgement only came about by the sda movement after their failed prophecy about Jesus's return in 1844 as an explanation of the error. Rather than repenting of this prediction their perverted the scripture to justify their false narrative. As it relates to the sabbath it was first mentioned in the bible 2500 years after creation. This is not a coincidence as Deuteronomy 5:15 & Nehemiah 9:14 tell us exactly when, where, why and to whom it was given. Furthermore, Genesis 49:10, Psalms 147: 19-20, romans 9:4, hebrews 10:1 tell us that the israelites were the only nation God give the law of moses to and this law was only temporary and a shadow of the things to come (Messiah)not the things themself. There is no Sunday keeping commandment in the New Testament. Believers met on the first day of the week to commemorate the resurrection of Christ and celebrate it on Easter Sunday. There's liberty in Christ concerning days. I am not a Sunday keeper. Non ADVENTISTS are called Sunday keepers and that is propaganda, possibly to make Christians look bad and uplift sabbath keeping. It's so arrogant to call themselves the true church or remnant because they keep the sabbath day, and it's not even a New Testament commandment.

Because truth is established with many "witnesses" to the same topic and not with verses taken out of context. The law in this context refers to the law of Christ which not only exists now but existed from the very beginning of creation. You see God does not change. From the beginning love of God and neighbor was the commandment. Ordinances and observations such as dietry laws, clothing laws, holydays, sabbath days were given to the israelites at mount sanai to distinguish them from all other nations and serve as symbols and signs of past and future events and were never designed to be permanant. What an astounding revelation this was! I'm happy to note the many who remained faithful to God, or returned to continue their journey with their Saviour, but there are also many who succumbed to the pull of the world or let the attitudes of others drive them out of the church. As an Anglican child who was taken to the Adventist Church by my mother's friend, and made the decision to be baptized at twelve years, I can testify to the Lord's leading in my life up to this time, and I am a retiree. No regrets. You never lose when you allow the omnipotent, Almighty God to lead you. And the best is yet to come!!! I pray that those who have left will return before it's too late.
Lord Jesus please help me to sweep around my own front door as a Seventh Day Adventist so I am not lost, because I am always let and lack decipline.

@Mike Flanagan Beloved of God i am in agreement with much of what you have said. But permit me to point out an error in your interpretation of Matthew 24:20. Two events are beginning prophecied here, one is the invasion of Jerusalem and its destruction in 70AD and the other is the Judgement day of the world. If you refer back to the question the disciples asked Jesus you would recognize they actually asked about both events. Jesus in his answer to them addressed both and at points in subtle ways. The mention of the sabbath is for the jews who are in Jerusalem in 70 AD because the sabbath is a more vulnerable time to be attacted. Remember the sabbath is directly linked to the past of the jews (Deut 5:15) so even in the new covenant in Christ they are the nation/people who are justified in continuing its observation. The non-jew is not obviously. Please receive my comments with an open mind. I am not sure what role the sda cult will play in the final persecution of true believers but for sure they will be on the wrong side. Grace and peace

I was. raised as Adventist! I left the church about 1956. They were to self righteous and greedy. I have have come to believe that they are a cult due to the isolation and censorship, especially in their boarding schools and factory's!

They started to get rid of us when we were 13 years old- the perfect solution was to send us to the church boarding schools, where we worked in their tax free factory's at 35 cents an hour! I felt like a slave ! We were expected to pay all our room and board and was even ask to pay tithing!

Developed a good work ethic, and managed to have some fun along the way. Helps if you make the best of it don't you think? I kept working hard and ended up getting accepted into a great medical school and had to work REALLY hard there, but if I felt like complaining, I would just remember that woodshop where I could have still been working!! Spent 35 years as an anesthesiologist. Thanks to good teachers, hard work and sometimes very difficult experiences to hone off the rough edges I can say, "Thank God for loving Seventh-day Adventists!!

Angela Brown informed me when she was at my home in Indianapolis that she joined the Adventist church shortly before she attended Oakwood University. She told me how she joined, and she once talked to me about her jewelry when we were on the phone. We were close at one time.

The sabbath was given only to the israelites nation at mount sinai (Exodus 31: 13, Nehemiah 9:14, psalms 147: 19-20) as a symbolic reminder of their deliverance from the eyyptians by God because now they were able to rest from the slave labour they were subjected to(Deuteronomy 5:15). We are children of God by faith not of works. As abraham was called righteous before the establishment of the law of moses 400 years later because of his faith so are we righteous because of our faith in Christ and not due to the observances and ordinances of the law of moses but by the grace of God.

Tess - They DO push their beliefs on others, but at the same time, they seem to want to genuinely help those people. They dig wells in Africa and raise schools, and do a lot of good. I'm not a SDA but my friend is. I just can't tolerate an Ellen White teaching as she is off theologically on many levels. I wish they would just stick to the Bible. But the people are good folk.

This is the beginning when Hebrews and blacks were mixing. A lot of other mixing came when the Hebrews entered Egypt especially Joseph, who married into the Egyptian priesthood and fathered two children, Manasseh and Ephraim. Of course Jacob and Joseph are descendants of mother Sarah. Jacob's sons mixed with Africans- Canaanites included Judah who the Messiah came through, and his descendant who hooked up with of the woman of (Jericho Canaan- Africa). There is Moses who fathered children through a Midianite princess. The moabites (Lot) eventually mixed with the black Canaanites out of which Ruth and eventually King David. We have the scattering of the ten tribes and then later Judah, placed all over the known world. (Hebrews, Israelites, Jews), along with those who asseminated with other cultures to avoid persecution, are in the far East, Africa, Europe and yes the new world AKA, The Americus. @@brianlakieth it just depends on which and who. EGW was Methodists and accepted the Trinity. The Trinity is a difficult doctrine. Many early Christians in the 1st century did not accept this doctrine. They were labeled heretics by the Catholic Church and snuffed out. Most people can't explain trinity vs triune and various people has differing interpretations. You have to accept it by faith.

If you as a movement can get the trinity (Genesis 1:26) wrong which is a denial of Christ identity and divinity, what else did they get wrong?
