Fallen Order was pretty much just an actually good version of this show. And in that game, the fortress has shields that you had to deal with. Which means they actually TURNED OFF the shields after a break-in that resulted in the death of Second Sister.
Its so fascinating to see how little care and knowledge the writers seem to have about the universe they are creating a story in. The book of boba fett and kenobi are so unbelievably unaware and unrespectful towards the source material. The only exception for this in disney star wars is rogue one, and some parts of the mandalorian for some reason.
they really just were like ok cool we have this fun set piece, let's use it. no thought into the fact that security would be bumped up after a fucking padawan managed to infiltrate the place. this show wanted to use parts of both rebels and fallen order, but didn't understand *why they worked* don't get me wrong, there are parts of this show I genuinely enjoyed--mainly the last fight between obi wan and Vader, but the show was just painful. somehow a show involving 2 of the biggest characters happens to have the least polish.
One thing I probably hate most about her character is she's supposed to be a sympathetic character, yet is portrayed in having no issue torturing a child, and trying to kill another for no apparent reason.
the prequels turned Vader into a child-murdered, yet you love them edit: it's funny to see prequel fanboys rush to the defense of a very poorly written and even more poorly directed movie trilogy
@@reek4062 yeah, but there was so much more to Anakins character before his betrayal, especially from the Clone Wars cartoon. Even then in killing the Jedi he is attempting to save his pregnant wife. He is a lot more sympathetic than Reva who, other than a brief glimpse of her at the Jedi temple, has spent the entire show kidnapping, torturing, and mutilating civilians.
Writer: Reva the Jedi Youngling that survived the purge, becomes a Sith Inquisitor to hunt down and kill or torture Jedi in order to get close to Darth Vader so she can kill him for hunting down and killing or torturing Jedi. Everyone at script reading: Fabulous! No glaring lapses in logic here, lets get filming! Writers: AND!! What if Reva doesn't kill an unconscious 10 year old Luke Skywalker, then she's a hero right?! Everyone at script reading: Yes, Reva not killing sleeping children makes her the bestest hero we've ever seen! General Public and fans reaction: "The entire show seems to be written by someone with the emotional range of a toddler".
This is basically the issue with most of the inquisitors, we know that all of them were former jedi turned to the dark side but half of them aren't given good explanations for why they work for the empire, they just do. Some are given good reasons, like the Second Sister being abandoned by her master in Fallen Order but outside of her the others have motivations that make no sense as to why they would hunt and kill their former allies
@@Kyle49840 The grand inquisitor wanted the knowledge of the temple. Apparently he didn't like being denied when asking to poke through the classified sections.
Just remember that Cal Kestus himself infiltrated the Inquisitor Base 5 years before Kenobi did and it was both heavily defended and shielded, yet in all that time they apparently got rid of all their defenses.
@@lucasblaise11 So, they were wrong to say "It has no defenses, because nobody would try to get in" I think you were joking, but I still wanted to make the point.
The way Disney uses black actors just to say “look what we did” only to cast them aside and give them poor writing to work with is honestly disgusting and I don’t know how they get away with it
Because all people care about is color because they are empty racists on the inside and if they show a black face black folk will go watch it regardless if the character sucks ass or not. They just want your money and your free prison labor. We are peasants and the film industry has only solidified that idea because they respect no one but propaganda
Can't them aside? Umm, no. The show was clearly written around her character. The problem lies in hiring incompetent writers who are more concerned with pushing an agenda than writing a good story.
100% agree. and yeah, they did cast them aside. Finn is being touted as one of the most wasted characters ever. let's take a really cool guy and make him useless and stupid, while killing off Ford's Solo. even Boyega isn't happy about what they did. people writing the script get more protection than the people playing the characters in the script? which takes more work: qualifying for an acting role, or sitting on your ass and writing a screenplay and pitching it to a production firm for the sake of recognition and a cut of the final profit? you can get away with anything if you have enough money to afford your own version of the world in various iterations, your own island destinations, your own cruise lines, and your own actors. these people don't live on planet Earth, they live on planet Hollywood.
Vader was intimidating because he didn’t yell or scream, he barely raised his voice. His composure and ability to command respect with his presence alone was what made his scary. Reva has none of that, so resorted to yelling and screaming, and failed.
@Reek the last scene of Vader cutting down rebel troopers in Rogue One was imho the best/most intimidating Vader scene in any of the movies. Watching it still gives me chills.
The thing that makes the whole Fortress Inquisitorious break-in worse is that in Jedi: Fallen Order, there was a blockade around Nur that they had to break past first. And, after Cal and Cere broke in, the Empire apparently learned nothing from it, because the security there got WORSE afterward, as shown in Kenobi. Top tier writing, people.
The only defense to this argument is that Games are a lower tier than shows. I agree with you they don't understand continuity. but if you follow the Canon tir list, you can explain it this way. There is no shield because it's supposed to be a secret base and a a shield will attract attention for a remote backwater world. And the Empire didn't think to shield any major bases or planets yet, seeing as this happens first compared to the death stars. The empire later learned to put shields on things. Again I agree with you that the writing is the worst and full of glaring plotholes. And to have to come up with reasons to understand it defeats the purpose of even writing it. But that's one way to explain it awY
Reva did the impossible and combined the worst aspects that I hate of both Rey and Kylo Ren into one character. The confusing backstory that changes every second, the hyper mood swings from one extreme to the next, the confused character motivation, the desperate pull for sympathy, an actor that clearly needs direction but all the director is giving them is "Emote harder!!!". Just when I say it can't get any worse with Star Wars Lucasfilm finds a way.
Alright, I really can't stand these "blame everything on the director" posts. Do you have any idea how many directors give actors partial or majority control to make characters thier own? Or how many directors take a no hands-on at all approach? Or how many actors take it upon themselves to control how a character acts or even influence dialogue? The actor who played Reva is terrible. Period. The fault is purely her own. She could have made the show better with good acting.
and you forgot studio gaslighting. Critisizing her before the last episode, even though we all saw it coming after the 6th, means you're probably a racist and sexist. With Rey and Finn they could only do one at a time. Genius.
@@0giraffe0 This only applies to wooden acting. The actress was clearly putting in effort, and if that effort is visible in the meta sense that’s the director’s fault for effort wasted.
The episode hurts even more if you played Fallen Order. The fortress was protected by shields and star destroyers, the Empire's most elite units, it was located on a moon of Mustafar, where Darth Vader's fortress was and many things I am probably forgetting. This show tries to tell us that after 2 jedi broke into the fortress 5 years before the show, the Empire decided to downgrade the security.
It’s actually ironically insulting that this actress was so bad and had such bad material that Disney had to create hate propaganda BEFOREHAND to have people pity support the show and ease the impending backlash.
@@bboi1489 apparently she is pretty good in other things she's been in such as Hamilton, pretty sure she didn't know anything about star wars so that didn't help..
My problem with Reva was when I first watched this, was how she was handed so much info on a silver plate, like people who knew Anakin is Darth Vader get killed instantly, yet she lives which is weird to me ig. The second thing is how did Reva know who Leia was or was she just coincidentally the choice to lure Obi-wan out? And Reva just felt like a filler, and didn't feel like an actual Inquisitor, they just let her pretend to be one. The fact that Disney also assumes anyone who doesn't like Reva is "Racist" is beyond idiotic, they can't take criticism worth shit. (Also sorry if this doesn't make too much sense, I watched Kenobi when it first streamed and already forgot the plot of it.)
Sewing as Riva had access to the archives wouldn't surprise me if the archives said Bail and his wife had a child 10 years ago than Riva went to a terminal to see what the kid looks like
Apparently Reva read Jedi archives that everyone else including Vader had access to and found out Kenobi's connection to Leia. Total sense... As far as people knowing Anakin's past....there was no way she could have known from what the series shows us or from the prequels. Another hole. As far as her being an inky-torious I agree and her past + goals + arc are garbage. I made it to Ep. 4 and then died from all the arteries in my head bursting from trying to tie the contrived story together. I watched Mauler's EFAP minis for the rest and then I died a second time!😫
The terrible writing and her bad acting did not do Kenobi any favors. Also, the Padawan still wearing the helmet absolutely cracked me up. I was half expecting Austin Powers and Vanilla Ice to be in the orange blocks right next door.
But, but.. muh Strong Female Character! I mean, as far as I can tell, Obi Wan was made solely to introduce Reva - another case of Hollywood and Disney butchering we already like on the altar of modern feminism. After all, if you don't get that the current execs at Disney loathe the original Star Wars episodes 1-6 and want to destroy it as thoroughly as possible, then you haven't been paying attention...
Ever find it strange how in Reva's moment of "redemption", she only refrains from murdering a kid (who she wanted to murder to avenge the death of other kids,) purely because she saw herself in him?
@@jonathonrobinson6081 Yeah, and it's sickening!🤢 I don't understand why people have to bring it directly everywhere, it should stay metaphorical especially in Sci-fi
@@Bizzon666 Yeah. A movie constantly paying homage to WW2 movies with one side fiercely based on the Nazis and the other side literally called The Rebellion definitely doesn't borrow from any known politics in the real world.
The issue with Reva is that they are trying to make her a center piece when she should be nothing more than a supporting character and Reva is a classic example of Kathleen's team not bothering to understand the lore of Star Wars. There is a stable of existing Inquisitors, but Team Kathleen has opted to sideline them and invent a new character that they can operate freely from continuity.
I only found Robot Head over the summer but the way he makes content as well as his personality on videos already makes him one of my favorite RUclipsrs to watch! Especially when it comes to Star Wars! I doubt you'll see this but if you do, keep up the great work!
See, it makes sense that they'd have Storm Troopers constantly patrolling around because in Fallen Order there was a line about disabling the shields on that base, showing that they had shields at one point. Then, in Fallen Order, a Jedi successfully broke in and stole a valuable holocron and escaped even though he was pursued by Darth Vader. As shown in Kenobi, their next logical move was to remove all their shields effectively making them less defended in response to this security breach (as you do), thus to maintain their whole "no one would be stupid enough to attack them (except that one time I guess (they don't even have shields now lol))" they need to have Troopers on patrol at all times. Writing genius.
Speaking of the smuggler RHEEEva killed, how the hell did she get ahead of Leia when she entered the tunnel after? If there were multiple tunnels why would they send Leia in alone knowing she could get turned around on her own? Just goes to show how literal the “lack of direction” this show had.
Obi-One and Qui-Gon used force speed run in Episode 1. I'm more interested how Reva knew where the tunnel exits. It makes much more sense if she enters the tunnel then reaches Lea when Lea talks with the pilot. The pilot sees Reva, shoots at her, she reflects the bolt back at him, killing him. Same outcome, but without 2 plot holes. But really, the pilot is the one who knows where the base is... he is going to fly Lea there. He's the one you want interrogated. Or just put a tracker on his ship.
I know acting in Star Wars isn’t always great (nor does it HAVE to be), but Reva’s actress speaks every line of dialogue like she has no idea what’s going on. Didn’t make the character believable
@@yuukimasamura5143 I thought the same thing. The Southern slang accent was just so... out of place. Felt like how I made up villians when I was playing with toys as a kid.
@@elisebrodeur-jacobs5215 Exactly. If you can't change your accent, get an accent coach. Something this stupidly high budget can get you plenty of those.
I haven't watched it, but I've got that sense from reviews of the show. It's the same issue plaguing the writing of Kylo Ren, aka Darth Cranky Pants. There's nothing intimidating about someone who yells every single word they say, especially when they're as on the nose as Reva.
Something I just realized now that I saw the clip here... We saw how a blaster shot broke the window and Obiwan was holding it back (yes, I know that's already a problem in it of itself) but I just noticed that he lets go of that and runs but magically, every window in there breaks???
It mind boggles me how Disney approved of the actress who played Riva, I couldn't take her seriously like she doesn't look the badass type, some of lines she delivered just felt bland and just lacking in emotion, not intimidating or threatening in any way in regards to delivery, Riva could have looked more evil and sadistic than how they presented her and the Acting Coach for Disney should have been fired for not training her better after trying to come off as threatening. I get it Disney, you want to prove your not racist and are 100% for diversity and probably want to reel in the Black Community but can you try hiring a better actress next time. Sheesh.
Even worse, disney HIDES from criticism behind this poc actress and it gets worse from there. All planned by evil disney before this dumpster fire even released.
I personally wouldn't give the actors any blame... they do what they're told to, if she sounds bland it's on the director... they approved and shipped it, they had the control, not she... could she have done better? yes... no denying that. But the director is at fault for approving that and not correcting her mistakes (and if she even with help doesn't do better, then they should seek a better actor) basically get a better director, sheesh
After seeing the incredibly low bar to writing Disney shows I have made the decision to become a writer myself for these shows as it requires neither talent, knowledge, or even proper sentence structure. Pure career gold!
I hope it gets better after a full minute of laughing at a name everyone would pretend is awesome, if it was in Warhammer. Which is just bog standard misheard Latin quotes just like weebs make anime quotes. The exact same it was in Harry Potter, and in most of that slope-headed UK media based on nothing but copying Tolkien for a 100 years.
It always annoys me whenever I see storm/clone troopers getting worked by anyone that isn't a wookie. Scenes where Chewie bats aside storm troopers works because we understand from 1 line of dialogue that wookies are super strong, average joe should NOT be working over soldiers in armour, that's dumb.
Reva is certainly one of the characters ever made. The actress is acting and her plot is there. The character is in it and the dialogue is spoken with normality. The parkour is absolutely a parkour, and the running is definitely a running. I even shed a tear when Reva said "It's Revin time" when she got stabbed. Ultimately my character of all time.
Look at a series like True Detective, specifically season one. It has a complex, layered plot, interesting characters with understandable motivations, and it all makes sense. It's basically perfect. How can Disney, with all the money and talent in the world, create such fucking garbage with this universe?
I was 4 when SW was released... now that I'm nearly 50 I never thought I'd ever see the day when I'd say this... (now, I happen to hate, Hate, HATE ads), but your ads were the BEST I've ever seen and I even welcomed them as a 'break' from this sludge! Obviously I'm referring to the subject matter, not the delivery nor content. Thank you for saving hours of my life, for curing me from ever wanting to watch this drivel. I'll go buy Displate soon, promise!
"I hope you like pain!" said Doucheney to its clientele. I just transferred the OT (original theatrical releases) to my handheld and im about to LOVE a lovable trilogy again!
Wait, aren't stormtrooper suits capable of becoming airtight at the wearer's request? They should be able to survive both underwater and in space. Why did the stormtroopers die?
What really hit home for me, was finally getting round to watching Stranger things season 4 (I know I'm talking different shows / genres but bear with me). I really got put off by season 3 so didn't rush to catch season 4. Man the Duffer brothers put absolutely everything into that series. They actually listened to feedback on previous series without shit throwing or toxic fan shaming(!). Episode run times never dipped below an hour (+) for any episode and the last few were feature length (2hr 20min finale!) It never dragged or felt rushed, it never felt compromised and the story was well fleshed out, engrossing and rewarding. I felt emotionally attached to everyone, including brand new characters. As much as I loved it, it instantly brought back the disappointment of Obi-Wan (and boba fett) only somewhat amplified. I'm talking 'the poster boy' shows for Netflix and Disney here. The flagships. The gulf in the quality of these two shows was laughable. Obi-wan and Fett were hugely anticipated shows for arguably the biggest movie franchise ever..and they were absolute trash. Empty, soulless money grabs. The production value felt on par with episodes of Dr. Who (and I don't mean to upset Whovians) Then, on top of serving up more fresh turds, they go and brand the fans racist for their own shortcomings over character direction / casting with Reva. Obi-Wan / Anakin scenes aside, I couldn't care less about any of the characters, I wouldn't have cared if Disney had killed everyone off, but this is Disney and they need to make money from toys and spin-offs so people can't possibly die, especially not Reva! Thank f*** Andor actually looks like it has a story, with a plot and acting and stuff and, so far, no sign of the 'agenda' being rammed down our throats. The cast and production look top tier, but this IS Disney after all and they just reduced one of their biggest legends to a confused, weak coward 🤷🏻♂️ (Well done for getting here, sorry for ranting, I think Disney have given me PTSD)
In all fairness, it was really well defended in Fallen Order, you had to use nightsister magic just to get past the planet wide blockade, then go underwater and blow up a bunch of stuff just to get into the place, and it was full of stormtroopers and deadly enemies. But the Kenobi version was pathetic. And you were wrong, it is a prison complex for captured Jedi before their execution, or them being turned into an inquisitor.
Does anyone remember the opening scene in Goldeneye? Where Ouromov told his soldiers not to shoot at Bond because he was by the gas tanks, and was worried that a bullet would rupture said gas tanks? The reason why I bring this up would be so that a commander would tell his soldiers not to shoot because he could destroy the glass windows because it's dangerous. It's so stupid, it's always the most dumbest writing decisions with Disney Star Wars and they should've gotten someone with some type of military expertise to advise.
What hurts the most for me about Reva is that the actress apparently thought screaming was giving her character a strong personality and that the director find that to be a good idea.
That episode of The Orville you're talking about was one of the darkest things I've ever seen in a Science fiction story, & this season of The Orville has done Star wars better than Star Wars has in years!
This is the greatest channel on youtube. No question. A close second are all the hot girls doing pole vaulting but I don't laugh as hard as I do on this one. Great stuff man, keep it up.
It’s like the director just said “everyone run around randomly” when they were escaping the fortress. Unless you see a bad guy stand your post and look around.
"it's time to make those tears real" Too bad it wasn't just smash cut to that kid sitting in front of some broccoli. "We're not leaving until you eat it all." It really could have been anything absurd and it would have enhanced... _whatever_ this is.
The writers we so creatively bankrupt they ripped off Fallen Order multiple times and ripped off rebels for the final episode. Great video man, can’t wait for Part 2!!
One day, Disney will have to sell some IPs. The new owner will erase the KK legacy. And then, everything will go back to real and profound storytelling with the human condition that we all live in.
I actually burst out laughing at the trench coat scene. Then I was baffled by the Snowspeeders floating in midair. Are they about to land? Were they always capable of that? Tie Fighters were doing that in The Force Awakens as well. I questioned that then too. Those were just two things that make this the worst episode in the series. I actually didn't watch the rest of the episodes afterward until maybe a month later. It was just so bad.
The snow speeder being capable of hovering didn't bother me, but it being capable of space travel did, as I am almost certain they are not capable of space flight. Also, Reva SLOWLY dodging blasts from a vehicle that big and rapidly firing? Haha. No.
@@James_Bee blasts that are also explosive and shred vehicles... i highly doubt they can be deflected with a lightsaber, but anyways a nearby shot wouldve killed Reva anyways. Lets not talk about how dumb it was the "sneaky" conversation between obi wan and tala with the loud conversation over the microphone, which couldve been easily solved with some sort of headphones ffs
To my knowledge, Snow Speeders are VTOLs, so them being able to hover in a limited manner is no issue. The thing is though... they are explicitly planetary only craft. The need a ground base to operate from.
@@TankHunter678 And I'm also remembering an aircraft that seats two people was used to evacuate two adults and a child, but the writers needed to have the (coincidentally) male pilot in the other Snowspeeder sacrifice himself that much apparently.
This is absolutely hilarious. Watch the series. The vast majority of starships within this franchise possess the capacity to 'hover' or become suspended above the surface, due to repulsorlift technology. Re-watch the Millennium Falcon take-off from a hanger on Tatooine, the take-off of the X-wing starfighters of Base One and etc. This is decades old lore that is derived from the films. The T-47s were deployed from a mothership, as seen within the series. T-47s are also capable of this repulsor-aided hovering. Let's not comment with ignorance.
I just finished The Orville & it was God-tier compared to the shit coming out these days. Topa's character was done so well & the interrogation scene was done fantastic. Knowing Bordus was gonna' go beast mode after seeing what the Moclans did also had me at a half chub. 🤷
I still won't forget my coworker's reasoning for this: That the reason for such a severe lack of security is because Darth Sidious didn't give a shit about the Inquisitors and sooner see them dead than used to their fullest extent as hunters of Jedi and their executioners. Same goes for the stormtroopers and their armor and why they are such easy targets to kill off despite said armor. Even when bringing up the matter of the Zilo Beast and how it paved for MK2 Clone Armor was a supposed ruse to support this insane line of reasoning. Following that was something about trying to relate it to the Rule of Two and how Sidious didn't care cause figured per Tarkin's Doctrin that fear is enough to control and there is no reason for such defenses. That and purposefully something about needing the Empire to be shitty or something to keep it controllable or whatever idk. It got difficult to continue following the logic after that and trying to reason other kept landing me with some turn-around to pull from something else to convenience each question in favor of stupidity in writing and such.
Refer him to 'A new Hope' and Ben mentioning the blaster shots on the jawa sand crawler. Then to Tarkin confirming with Vader the plan to track the Millenium Falcon and let it/them escape. Also refer to Veers wrecking the Rebel shield generator in his AT AT etc. They did get whooped by Ewoks in ROTS but they took a few out and put up somewhat of a fight. Stormtroopers now are just sad, theres no tension. Like the imperial spy in obi wan show, slapping their helmets and they're done, such a lame discourse for Star Wars
The inquisitor in Fallen Order does a better job of selling the reasoning. They were disposable to begin with and were tortured into submission or killed if that didn’t work. Like he said, though, it works in the video game format, not live action. We actually got to see the inquisitor be tortured in 1st person and have her story told throughout the game, so shes more believable. Theres nothing like that in Obi Wan, she’s just there for brownie points
Great vid as always but the Kentucky Ballistics clip was a chef's kiss moment 😎👍 Need to incorporate "its water melon time" into futures vid where possible. Looking forward to your next vid 👍
The worst thing, though, is that a lot of, and We hate this word, “normies” still consider Kenobi good, which means Disney will keep making this kind of garbage crap.
The fact that the average person can't tell when shit is being shoveled down their throat, or just don't care to tell, feels like a massive indictment on our species.
I was so excited when I saw the Fortress in the trailer but so disappointed when I saw what they did with it in Episode 4. In JFO it wasn't some dumb museum for Jedi corpses with zero defenses but an intimidating dangerous enemy stronghold.
Because Fortress Inquisitorious doesn’t have any shields… *I say we invade that place so we’ll kill the Inquisitors and free the Jedi in stasis, who’s with me? I got Clone Legions and Battalions.*
As I expected, Reva's motives make no sense. She saw that Vader killed her friends, therefore...she is angry at Obi-Wan who trained him for not saving her? (Why didn't he just say "I was on Utapau, attacked by clones"?) And therefore she serves Vader, hunts all remaining Jedi, tries to kill them, chops hands off and tortures a child to find the Rebels? She is a horrible person and I cheered when she was stabbed...but then she lived.
As you said Inquisitor Inquisition Inquisitorios or whatever its name is Is just an empty building with people walking around and a museum, which is why there is no shield or anything to protect it lol
Hiding her under the trenchcoat was Disney's answer to everyone complaining about her not being caught when she was running away. (I think those are episodes 23 and 36 in Abbot and Costello? Or was it Scooby Doo?)
Praying they're not going to try and cross Fallen Order with this mess. At this point they don't seem content to ruin their own projects, they need to drag down anything that does turn out good...
This reminds me of a far superior sci-fi movie where the strength of glass to contain water was actually addressed as a plot point. The protagonists resolved the issue by introducing technology from the future and fabricating "transparent aluminum" years ahead of its time. The name escapes me right now but I'm sure it was yet another beloved franchise which has long since been bastardized. 😉
I have a marginally better proposal for the escape episode where Leia gets rescued by Obi-Wan and whatever her name is. (This might have been said or suggested before, but I had a thought about this in a recent discussion I had about the show) this is also ignoring the fact that Kenobi very well could have just mind tricked a bunch of troopers into escorting them out and hiding Leia in the group. Rather than hiding Leia under Obi-Wan’s coat, which is the most lazy and stupid idea in the world, in the moments where Kenobi is looking for her, we can be shown many imperial storage crates stacked about in the hallways. When they finally get to Leia and save her, as they are making their way through a hallway, they decide to put her in one of the boxes. Activate its anti-grav and push it along. To further hide Kenobis face because hats are not a good disguise, they could pull a rebels and take an unconscious ST armour and he could wear it. In this thought them getting caught hinges on a ‘ST helmets suck joke’ which admittedly is over used and dumb. But IMO better than a girl under a coat. So how they get caught would be Kenobi bumps the box into the wall slightly and Leia is like ‘ouch!’ And there is an obvious thud. Which brings all attention to them and can trigger the action sequence. It’s definitely not perfect, but more feasible than getting all that way using such a stupid plan.
Sounds pretty good but how about they are discovered because Reva has x-ray vision and can shoot laser beams from her eyes. Also she’s stronger than Vader or Palps and is the living embodiment of the force.
@@mon-taffitan Your idea actually does make a ton of sense. I just can't stand how stupid star wars has become so I wouldn't be shocked if they did my ridiculous idea at some point.

oh God, I was waiting for you to destroy the speeder scene! I suppose I will have to wait. 10/10 analysis of this absolute calamity of a show so far...I am not watching another Disney Star Wars production until Robot Head gives the all clear
They built a base on a water planet so if they brought Jedi there, there would be no place to go. Just look at penal colonies or Alcatraz in the real world. Prisons built in inhospitable locations so it would reduce or eliminate the chance of escape. This show is shit but the reason why the Inquisitors had a base set up this way makes sense.
All it takes is a rebel cell to learn that Vader is visiting this place, and they send a single frigate or corvette in and obliterate the building with Turbo lasers. All the power of the dark side isn't going to save him from capital ship orbital bombardment or drowning when the ocean floods the ruins of the tower. This is a Stazi HQ that the rebels would blow up for fun, and its a sitting target against any largish capital ship or even a squadron of X wings.
The worst part of this is that Disney also owns The Orville... Disney owns 67% of Hulu which produced the latest season of the Orville, and the Orville recently moved into Disney+
Maybe im a little off topic. But I recently watched the new holiday special and I know its for younger audiences. But I really liked the plot idea of Obi Wan getting into trouble because he ran into a rebel spy. I prefered that set-up way more than the Leia thing.
It felt as if I have been Jedi mind tricked that I actually forgotten about this series...now I had to watch robot head review of this chronicle obituary Disney creation 👓😶😌

Fallen Order was pretty much just an actually good version of this show. And in that game, the fortress has shields that you had to deal with. Which means they actually TURNED OFF the shields after a break-in that resulted in the death of Second Sister.
I had forgotten that it was the same base... but then I'm not on the production team.... whoops.
They infiltrated the base and Tala was at a terminal. She easily could have disabled shields from a particular region.

One thing I probably hate most about her character is she's supposed to be a sympathetic character, yet is portrayed in having no issue torturing a child, and trying to kill another for no apparent reason.

@@ryankornacki9918 This Reek dude is a delusional simp. Exactly who Disney caters to.

I'm sure you could do an Early Life check for the writers/producers.
Tokens. There used to be a name for this
Can't them aside?

Sadly the prequels and Rogue One butchered Vader and made him unintimidating

Yeah and they used literal magic to get around the blockade, while in the movie, the security wasn't there in the first place.
You really couldn’t have put it better
An incredible description of the situation
This guy is reallly hitting his stride with his writing. Bravo. The little conversation between Vader and emperor about the windows was hilarious!
I turned off this video when he started to rant about tactical problems of a cool villain fortress for 5 minutes.
I like the rule of cool but that whole scene was dumb as shit and deserves a longer rant

Sewing as Riva had access to the archives wouldn't surprise me if the archives said Bail and his wife had a child 10 years ago than Riva went to a terminal to see what the kid looks like

This is decades old lore that is derived from the films. The T-47s were deployed from a mothership, as seen within the series. T-47s are also capable of this repulsor-aided hovering.
Let's not comment with ignorance.
Thank you Robot, I didnt see the show, but thanks to you it gives a lot of joy!
I just finished The Orville & it was God-tier compared to the shit coming out these days. Topa's character was done so well & the interrogation scene was done fantastic. Knowing Bordus was gonna' go beast mode after seeing what the Moclans did also had me at a half chub. 🤷
Thanks!
12:43 The Kentucky ballistics cameo caught me off guard

Damn, he just straight-up demonstrates his point.
“There’s thin windows in the underwater base, beacuse it looks cool and makes good sense” said no one ever
as my friend would say "disney star wars is munted" and i totally agree
Great vid as always but the Kentucky Ballistics clip was a chef's kiss moment 😎👍
Need to incorporate "its water melon time" into futures vid where possible.

I’ve been a fan before Disney bought Star Wars and I liked kenobi
@@Perrier_enjoyer What did you like about it?
I havent watched any star wars since the last jedi but ive watched hundreds of hours of youtube videos tearing the shows and movies to shreds
ok manbaby
I still don't know why her parents named her "Moses".
???
Yeah, isn't that a guy's name?
Is it her actual name? Female actors often change their names for film.
She kills many man every time there is a red tide and her walls close on them.
@@James_Bee Her real name is Monique Denise Ingram.
I had repeatedly been laughing about how Leia couldn't know shit about anything. Like wtf is she not gonna tell her?
I was so excited when I saw the Fortress in the trailer but so disappointed when I saw what they did with it in Episode 4. In JFO it wasn't some dumb museum for Jedi corpses with zero defenses but an intimidating dangerous enemy stronghold.
"Star wars proper"... i wish people would actually call the original star wars like this. I love it.
Because Fortress Inquisitorious doesn’t have any shields… *I say we invade that place so we’ll kill the Inquisitors and free the Jedi in stasis, who’s with me? I got Clone Legions and Battalions.*
Dude, I just love your content. So good. Very entertaining stuff.
As you said Inquisitor Inquisition Inquisitorios or whatever its name is
Is just an empty building with people walking around and a museum, which is why there is no shield or anything to protect it lol
Hiding her under the trenchcoat was Disney's answer to everyone complaining about her not being caught when she was running away. (I think those are episodes 23 and 36 in Abbot and Costello? Or was it Scooby Doo?)
It always surprises me when I get reminded that I have watched the prequel movies more times than I have watched the sequels.
Best Buy had better security! Had me dying. 😂😂😂
Thanks dude, looking forward to the next episode! 😊
Praying they're not going to try and cross Fallen Order with this mess. At this point they don't seem content to ruin their own projects, they need to drag down anything that does turn out good...
I already thought this show was so bad…and you help us understand that it’s worse then we imagined lol
Holy Shit Dude I Haven't Laughed This Hard in a Long Time. Thank You.
Obi Wan struggling to break the glass with the force while holding a perfectly usable lightsaber...
*sees a familiar twin-naccelled vessel slowly glide overhead*
"I see no shield..." just like in Empire At War you forget to build the shield generator on some important planet. Fukin' budget cuts!
@@dylanabel205 omg i love that idea so much! thats a breath of fresh air for the SW universe
@@mon-taffitan Your idea actually does make a ton of sense. I just can't stand how stupid star wars has become so I wouldn't be shocked if they did my ridiculous idea at some point.
@@dylanabel205 i hate to admit that i can totally see something like that happening as well. the sequels really made me realize how much i actually appreciate the prequels
oh God, I was waiting for you to destroy the speeder scene!
Exactly, sometimes robot head tries to scrape together plotholes just for the sake of it
You'd think an Australian of all people would know that
All it takes is a rebel cell to learn that Vader is visiting this place, and they send a single frigate or corvette in and obliterate the building with Turbo lasers. All the power of the dark side isn't going to save him from capital ship orbital bombardment or drowning when the ocean floods the ruins of the tower.
This is a Stazi HQ that the rebels would blow up for fun, and its a sitting target against any largish capital ship or even a squadron of X wings.
Why have a base on a water planet with "glass windows"?
To marvel at its wonderful aquatic life? Look at a frigging submarine creators.
Disney has unintentionally been making Spaceballs sequels since 2015…
It felt as if I have been Jedi mind tricked that I actually forgotten about this series...now I had to watch robot head review of this chronicle obituary Disney creation 👓😶😌
I coughed and almost choked. A $5,000 drink. Are these people mental
Trilla was better.
But the fortress makes sense as a black site to take Jedi to. Worst case scenario, you flood it and kill everyone inside.
The only way to properly digest this situation is to consider the entire Disney Star Wars franchise as a bizarre bunch of terrible "what if" scenarios. Hopefully, one day, respect will return to the lore and we'll all be able to forget these cheap attempts at entertainment.
