Lots of great info. Im currently doing the same thing (holley and tcm 2650) and you confirmed exactly what i thought i could do with the hardware. Thanks!
Are you able to get rev matching downshifts to work? If so what did you have to do in Holley software to accomplish that? (Sorry if I missed this in video, kinda long)
Pete Angelas just FYI, at one point of the video I state you may not need the trans slip timer. After the video I thought about it and remembered that yes, you still need it unfortunately
Can you back up a little and make a video showing a broad overview of what is needed for a custom build with a 6L80? How its hooked up, what components are needed, what software is needed for which component, etc? There is very little information on how to hookup a standalone system for a 6L80..
Do you have any written info on the input outputs set up for both the TCM2650 and the Holley efi? Basic configuration. Not the Tuning. Shouldn't the 6l80e self learn?
Does this work with the 8L90 as well? I emailed zero gravity performance about the controller and it said it can do the 8L90 as well, could torque management work with this as well? Running the 8 speed with a cammed 5.3 would really bring life into the LS scene
That's cool if it can do the 8L. I asked them about that a couple years ago and they told me no, so things must have changed. As long as the controller will display trans slip you'll be fine. You can also calculate trans slip by using input shaft speed, commanded gear, and output shaft speed (or calculated from vehicle speed/tire height/ rear gear ratio) that's what I did with the 4l80e. I had to generate trans slip using some tables. Since the Holley doesn't calculate it natively.

I was hoping this would be a long one. I'm diggin' in!

@@scrapmetal_sleepers What wire did you use on the 2650 Tcm to plug behind the Holley dash. To make the speed work ?
@@morrisrodney19 did you figure this out?
@@davidhamilton9902 no I have. Not but I wire the tach to my Holley ecu tach wire
Also is there away you can turn off the reduced power mode ? That on 2650 software think my transmission puts my gas pedal . I’m limo mode

Is there any way to read the trans temp with the TCM-2650? Also would it be able to integrate with HPtuners for torque management and shift points?

I have the same setup….my trans will not come out of 1st gear.any solutions on how to fix this?
