- Dr. Walker introduces the concept of information, then proposes that information may be a necessity for biological complexity in this thought-provoking talk on the origins of life.
Sara is a theoretical physicist and astrobiologist, researching the origins and nature of life. She is particularly interested in addressing the question of whether or not “other laws of physics” might govern life, as first posed by Erwin Schrodinger in his famous book What is life?. She is currently an Assistant Professor in the School of Earth and Space Exploration and Beyond Center for Fundamental Concepts in Science at Arizona State University. She is also Fellow of the ASU -Santa Fe Institute Center for Biosocial Complex Systems, Founder of the astrobiology-themed social website SAGANet.org, and is a member of the Board of Directors of Blue Marble Space. She is active in public engagement in science, with recent appearances on “Through the Wormhole” and NPR’s Science Friday.

You should hear her talk with Sean Carroll on his podcast mindscape.... Both brilliant. When I scroll down to read these comments, there's always someone who is capable of decreasing entropy without violation of the second law of thermodynamics.
Makes me think of the saying that life is anti-entropic.

The mathematical equation reciprocal positioning, (a specified quantization = rational connection in Principle = QM-TIMESPACE), of every-thing probable at one possibility, ..logically contains the Singularity positioning here-now forever in no-thing, (the infinite division of everything at .dt-> Zero-infinity difference distribution in time-timing).
"Infinite division" is the implied location of potential possibilities for positioning in Navigational temporal spacing-division at Singularity.
"Everything" in continuous creation connection Principle, is instantaneously/.dt "everything else" (another POV), in shape shifting, balanced constants of e-Pi-i resonance positioning, the Observable Holographic Universe, of Image-resonances/interference condensation and probability distribution, the properties of Inflation+/- = quantization-modulation and therefore Math-Phys-Chem and Geometry in Spacetime sequences of Dynamic Mathematical Abstract Formulation, and that of course includes life, art, gravitation etc functions of Time-existence.
Life isn't no-thing, so it's an aspect of everything.

A theory of everything that doesn't explain the theoriser is not a theory of everything, because there are such things. Well beings. But beings are entities and entities are a thing/s.

But entropy is equal for all four of those images of the Mona Lisa. They have equal amounts of information (bits).
Be careful about the information you put out there about entropy, secret societies might spy on you, if they think you have a deep enough understanding of it.
Low entopy is when bits are organized into a comprehensive pattern to form information. Consciousness or awareness is what puts the randomness of bits into a coherent pattern based on the Consciousness' experience to lower entrpy. Therefore, the higher the entropy the more randomness
The fact that DNA and life have to do with information, isn't that obvious ??
