just got the 2021 Atlas SEL model from Teddy Volkswagon in the Bronx, in white with brown leatherette seats, I've only had it for a week, so i can't comment on the longevity of the car.
But it feels good, and drives really good.
The price is decent for a new car.
I was definitley concerned after being a long time Lexus SUV fan,
but i was pleasantly surprised none the less.
And, i was willing to change vehicles for the price, and roominess in the Atlas.
it uses regular gas which is good, unlike the Lexus which uses premium gas.
The Atlas SEL has plenty of interior space, which was my main reason for getting this Volkswagen.
it really is spacious and very comfortable vehicle.
I'll try to update on the long term use of the Atlas.

I test drove 2021 Atlas SEL today and really loved it. My jaw dropped after I've checked how smooth it rides and how roomy the cabin is! For a 6"4 driver, family man, it is really a great option. Love the price/value ratio. Big fan of VW from now on.
Also, the ex-Lexus driver. Had several Lexuses prior to that: RX and GX.

Just picked up a 2021.5 Atlas and love it except for the “exhaust tips” but I’ve had over 20 VW’s now and I’ve always been happy with them and don’t see this one disappointing me.

As good as you can find for the money. I would rather pay 44,000 for a German SUV than 40,000 for a Korean SUV.

Come on VW, stop using the same head unit and climate controls in all your models, change it up !! Great Video as usual. :)

I prefer their controls and head unit. Simple and clean. And easy to use. Not a fan of an all touch setup. Very hard to use while driving.

What's the more reliable engine for the longevity of the Atlas, the V6 or 2.0t? And which is cheaper to maintain?

The V6 will last you longer.

It's sad that VW don't give you a good warranty like most car brands do.

Also a very reliable engine that can easily reach 250k with routine maintenance. I'll take an older proven engine platform all day.

I’ve owned 11 vw cars over 45 years starting with 78 scirocco ( currently 17 golf and 16 Touareg vr6) and all pathetic reliability compared to any toyota or Honda or ford or gm car I have owned . My Touareg constant electrical demons. And coil packs and intake manifolds on the golf and cc I owned. I love waiting 3 weeks to get parts from Germany . I will say the the 1985 GTI was the best car I have ever owned!

One of the least reliable car in US , ton of countless issues as ton of space this car has..don’t buy it otherwise you will visit dealership frequently
