I live in Illinois so it's fairly flat . I have the 19 with 2.0 FWD. Most of my driving is country roads with interstate driving. I have towed up to 1000# also. The engine really loafs under these driving conditions. The only consideration to go with the V6 is if I lived in a mountainous area or towed heavier loads. The V6 will never get the mpg's of the 2.0 and my 2.0 driven fairly conservatively gets 27 combined. I am VDUBER on Fuelly check out my mpg's.
Great detailed look at the vehicle. This was developed specifically for the American market, correct? I think that explains some things like the huge center console. Might just go with a Taos myself because SE vs SE the difference is almost $14k and I don't need a third row. Thanks.
Very good question, I honestly don’t know myself. After driving both back to back it is a tough decision. The V6 is a tad more smooth around town (and likely on the highway as well). Both provided a decent amount of power. If you gave me earplugs and didn’t tell me which was the I4 or V6 I would say the I4 felt a bit quicker on full throttle acceleration but on the highway the V6 would take over better. My suggestion to you would be to drive both and see what suits you best. I also have a video on the V6 SEL Premium if you haven’t watched it.
Do you think that the atlas can haul 7 adults along with cargo in the rear? I’m thinking of buying this exact model, without the 4 motion, but I’m worried that my family and I would put too much stress on the engine. Or for anyone in the comments do you have any experiences with the 2.0 and could it work in my case? Thank you for your time. 😃

I also have a video on a 2023 Taos SE! Check that out too, thanks for watching!
What do you recommend if you’re not towing anything 2.0t or V6?!

If you know your vw engines it’s the 2.0. Trust me, take that 2.0 even on AWD. If you want to go crazy look up APR stage 1 modification.
@@justtestingonceare they reliable?

After reading my own comment from 3+ years ago and hearing stories, get the 2.0T. No questions asked lol
