I am from Texas, this is my new favorite car, and it being tested on Texas dirt (soil doesn't exist here) makes me prouder than I already was to live in Texas
Never dreamed back in the 60's and 70's while I was trashing cars that are worth $100K now that we would ever see a car from the factory roll out with 700+hp . The fastest car I had after many scraped knuckles had just under 540hp I worked at a speed shop and my car was one of the fastest in town . Did a clean 12:20 and that is fast but nothing like what the cars are doing from the factory now ,,, wish I had one your never too old .

What I find odd about this video, is that the I've watched stock Hellcat Challengers run the Texas mile and they've only hit a top speed of around 175 mph. Conversely, I've seen many stock GT500 Mustangs with 665 hp consistently hit 196 mph.
Sir FarSide Because of weight, the Hellcat Challengers are bigger & weight in around 4,400lbs while the Gt500 are around 3,800lbs. That's a huge difference at high speeds.

Dumb Hellcats, they aren't even fast. Just a big metal brick with 707hp but can only do a 11.6 1/4? Pathetic. A 991 Turbo S or Tesla Model S P100D can run sub 10.7s
Mind you, we are talking about a 4,600lb, full size sedan without any extra power running a mid-10 second quarter mile time with good air, a good driver and good tires…and to think, when I proposed that these sedans could run in the mid-10s with nothing more than tires, people told me that I was crazy. Well, Mike Novak and his Hellcat Charger proved that I wasn’t crazy, as his stock-power Dodge sedan ran a 10.59 - and with temps dropping, we could see the car which he affectionately calls “the Fridge” running even quicker times later this year.

The only porsches that seat 5 people is the panamera and the cheapest is $85k to start and runs 12.6 in the 1/4mile.
Tesla 60 costs more than the Hellcats and only runs 14.2@98mph.
