What a shame Mike doesn't have more subscribers than this. I grew up watching eastmans shows and mikes voice is just iconic with everything hunting. Everything mike says or does is gold. Can't get enough!
Glad I live in black bear country, those Griz have that angry gene that makes me uncomfortable. Have had a few close calls over the years but for the most part blackies just turn and run the first moment they catch some scent or get a good look at you. Our state record is over 800lbs so we grow them big in WI and plenty of danger can be found if a guy is unlucky. Sure enjoy your stories Mike and the photos are beautiful. I finally made it out to my deer stand last weekend our bow hunting weather here was complete shit due to extremely high temps, it switched last Friday so by Sunday I was in the tree. Spent 4 hours out there and saw 5 deer, one smaller buck didnt like my rattling I think he caught me moving and he walked off about 3pm, took a doe with him. Glad he did. An hour later another couple of does came from the north and lo and behold behind them came the bruiser. It took them 15 minutes to get within range and I arrowed a 160" buck, by far the biggest buck Ive ever killed. Still cant believe it and feel like the luckiest guy in the world right now.
