In this video I unbox and review the new Creality Halot-One Plus 3D printer and the Creality UW-01 wash and cure machine. I also show my first resin prints using my own 3D designs.

The Halot-One Plus, the UW-01 and the blue Creality resin was given to me for free by Creality to make this review video but I was not paid to make this video.
A lot of my designs are done using Shapr3D software on my iPad. I highly recommend this software, it is incredibly capable, intuitive and easy to learn and use. Check the following link and discount code.

Try the 2 week free trial and be sure to use the walk through demo at the start, I learnt so much doing that.

Nice work Jim the effect on those tarantulas looks great. It'll be interesting to see how well the printers work in the loft space with the good old british winter
I will certainly need to preheat the resin but I will probably build a heated cabinet. Glad you like my spiders
I use auto support in halot box, then add manual supports in the red areas shown on the model with 4 additional supports one for each side, connecting to an open area of the print where supports are not at (for my 75mm) prints. The 32mm i do print perfect with auto support only, 75mm you gotta add some, 100mm + i add 2 supports in any open area i see that does not have supports near.
This method works perfect for me. Never had a fail for any reason, dont want to jinx myself lol.
Thank you
Good Quality

congratulation for your new workshop! I'm always hesitant with getting a Resin Printer. They are awesome but the prints need more work in the end than filament prints. Be careful to keep the IPA away from some of your filaments (PVB) as it is able to disolve it.
It is really just a small workbench in the corner of my loft and I have already managed to fall through the ceiling🤪🤬😳. Resin printing is certainly more work and mess but I like to see my virtual designs become “real”. Many thanks for watching.
Both the filament and resin printer have their strengths and weaknesses but each have their own specialty. It's actually easier to learn how to use a resin printer than an fdm. I only need to level the bedplate once and you usually need to relevel when you replace the fep film. It's the clean up that's a hassle with resin printers. But the resin printer can't be beat in terms of detail and even print speed when you need to print multiple items. I started eith fdm printers but now I'm so spoiled with the detail and almost invisible print lines on a resin printer.
What a good result Sir ! Can i ask you the exposure setup for the standard grey resin from Creality ?
Thank you very much. I just used the standard Halot-One Plus profile on Chitubox.
Viking helmets with skulls very cool
Glad you like it
I bet you can make skeletor easy with that machine . I can't wait to start making fishing lures which are based off the designs from the game I was playing in my last video just trying to figure out how I can get started on making my blank I may use a Dremel to shape it. But now that I got a better working sander I've been working on my lamp but I've had to take a break from it to fix some openings with resin once the openings are filled in I'll be able to go right back to sanding
I have considered 3D printing fishing lures
Another great review! The detail is just out of this world Jim. I have the Anycubic i3 Mega S pro , Whats the difference in print time with the resin prints ?
Yes it is an awesome printer for detail. Resin is generally quicker, especially when you are printing multiple things all at once as each layer takes the same amount of time regardless of surface area and complexity.
Thanks Jim
How printer is better halot plus or anycubic mono X 6k?
Does unused resin expire, or can you just keep topping it up with new stuff as it gets used?
I don’t know for definite. In theory if there is no light reaching it, then it should be OK for a time. The resin does tend to settle into layers if left, so needs a stir before starting a new print. It is good practice to empty the resin vat periodically and strain the resin to remove any particles of cured resin and to check that there is no rein stuck to the base.
@@JimsonMakes Interesting stuff, thanks for the responce.
Are you scared of xenomorphs? Is that why you’re avoiding printing one? 😄 It’s ok if you are. I used to be scared of the dancing silhouette woman in Tales of the Unexpected.
Still haven’t designed a xenomorph yet
0:39 - The printer was the payment, if we're going to be totally honest here.
And that is why I honestly stated that.
How confused were you with what you did? Did you need to call to understand how to set things up?
No it was very easy, the touchscreen interface is very good and simple to understand when you actually read it properly
