I find myself confused about his breeding and the subsequent breeding of more of what we see as show dogs in the world of beastars. Our culture of dog breeding here for the most part is often quite cruel. I would be interested in how they explore their world of eugenics and how it affects the culture of the arrangements that have to be made to make such things happen. In a system like the one in the series exists then arranged marriages would have to be commonplace. That in itself bothers me as the choices of love and relationships are held to a governing party or family of the decided subjects. It sends shivers down my spine at how that could be portrayed. To see pure bread animals in the world didn't come to my mind until now and it gives a strange dystopian feeling to the world of beastars now. Their delving into this would be as profound if not more than the first seasons. The more I think into the inner workings of the world of beastars the more I'm left to really think about how it all is functioning. My deepest joy next to animals is world-building. Nothing beats a truly fleshed-out world.

I love some good world building, but sadly, the thoroughbred dog thing is not explored in much more depth. It would be something very interesting for Itagaki to have explored further, because it is very dystopian when you stop to think about it for a while. The same does also apply to other human-made animals, like cows and chickens, but we don't learn anything more about the circumstances of their existence. Although, we do get to see some stuff about them, and the second last of my Beastars videos is about them.
Season 3 should include some of the information about dogs, but I also don't know what all they'll adapt and what they'll change or remove. We shall have to see!

@@LCLupus the sheer amount of ideas that could come from exploration sure would be something that isn't touched in most media. I'm sure that what we will see in season 3 will be amazing even if they leave these points to just exist in the world. Sometimes when portraying a story things can't all be covered, but that is what lends way to discussion on the world outside of the lives of the main cast. I tend to find myself in deep thought about worlds and their inner functions quite often and this series is such a wellspring of deep thought, despite how dark it may get.

@@ezradawn54 I am hoping for another narrative to come along that explores similar ideas, but so far, many that have gone along similar routes in some or another way just don’t scratch the same itch.

@@Undertalefanby100 I was, at first, so confused by the beginning of your comment. Just the first line. I forgot that people like to say “first” on a video, ha ha.
I do just suspect that the dog thing was something that Itagaki Paru did not think about until later. And that’s fine, it’s just a weird little thing, but it does present quite a problem for the world.
We never get a lengthier explanation for the existence of chickens or cows (or other domesticated animals), but we do see some other stuff about them. I have a video coming in a few weeks that looks at that fun ole chestnut!
