Everyone complains about this version’s cutscenes being over the top, but Kojima wanted the PS1 to be like this but couldn’t because of the technology. So shouldn’t you fans be happy that he got his true vision to come to life?

Limitations can sometimes lead to a creator making a better product. I could literally be here all day naming you several examples of famous movies where the creator wanted to do something but didn't have the budget or technological advancements to do it so they were forced to work their way around it and ended up making a far better product than if they didn't have those limitations. Metal gear is no different and considering the following sequels don't even get this over the top ( And before someone starts naming a bunch of irrelevant examples from sequels involving characters like Solidus and Vamp, keep in mind that characters like that either have some obvious reason they can do what they do, such as some high tech superpowered suit or how they do these amazing feats is purposely left unknown to create some type of unnerving mystery around them. And even then none of these people are doing anything as insane as backflipping onto a missile that's been shot at them only to jump off while shooting a missing launcher. So don't even try to come at me with such irrelevant examples) I find that whole "this was his true vision" to be at the least not entirely true.

perfect in every way except for the music , i think it would be better if they kept the original soundtrack .
I can forgive the cheesy Matrix scenes (except Gray Fox´s final showdown and Liquid vs Solid fight, those were cool), but can never forgive the fact they changed the original music. It was PERFECT.

Maybe just me, but I never liked how Rex sounded walking in this one. It’s missing the weighty sounds of the steps from the original.
The Original voice actor for Frank Jaeger was way better than this guy by far.

Curious, what settings did you use for the Dolphin Emulator to get it to run so smoothly? :P I'm still trying to figure out a good setting for my PC. It's not a powerhouse, but my specs are:
FX-6300 AMD 6-Core [OC'd to 3.9Ghz]
AMD MSI Radeon R7 360 2GB GPU
16GB of DDR4 RAM
1TB HDD
Any advice for settings using those specs?

Rewatching this (for the bazillionth time and after having finished MGS5) I can't help but wonder. Instead of getting that crappy MG: Survive shit and now that Kojima is gone, the least Konami could do was build on the established story by giving us either some smaller games about events between the games, or some alternate outcomes. Imagine...
...if Snake and Liquid, at that moment when Snake was exposed to the harsh truth, *do actually get along* . The game starts like this: the chat escalates to a point where Snake sees the hypocrisy of his superiors, and Liquid softens, questioning his hatred for a misled brother who actually never did him wrong. So, after a brutal fistfight and as Liquid is hanging from MGREX, Snake instead offers him a hand. Depending on player's choice, Meryl either dies (which leads to Snake losing it) or gets rescued by both of them. They team up, contact Ocelot, Campbell and whoever is loyal to them, and following their father's example, build a base. The rest is pretty self-explanatory.

Why does he have a British accent?
Because Liquid Snake was raised British, so he learned the British Accent. Liquid Snake was on the Records you can see in the briefing videos of this game, that Liquid Snake was in the British SAS Special Forces before Foxhound and the events of this game.
17:50 Anyone notice that Liquid says Big Boss was in a coma when the Les Enfants Terribles started? But the project happened in 1972, before the Peace Walker incident!

he went into the coma in 1975 and was out for 9 years Kojima could have retconned the coma he went into
Kojima can't seem to keep up with his own story and kept retconning everything haha.
At the start of MGS2 when Ocelot starts becoming controlled by Liquid, Liquid tells Snake that Big Boss was in his late fifties when they created his clones.

Never played this version liquid and snake lost their muscular physic now they do look like snakes.
If I remember correctly, his character model was supposed to be based off of Jean-Claude Van Damme. He looks about right to me.

so this game is actually remake of the first game?I dont understand why they had a need of naming the game 'twin snakes' instead of mgs remake,but anyways ıt looks better than the ps1 version ı guess.
Probably for marketing purposes and sales etc the gameplay is basically a recycle from MGS2 mechanics
