"I was screaming so loud, I blew out the mic."
.....OOOOOOOOOOOoooooohhhh.... FUCK......
andrewkful My reaction, lol XD
andrewkful SAME. I knew this was gonna be fun
That made me laugh really hard. What an intro.
andrewkful RIP mic
The Mic didn't blow out? When?!
This is the story of a girl. She followed her heart so much that everyone in China died.
THE END :D
That didn't help at all. :'(
Disney at their finest!
got it!
OMG Que sorpresa verte por aquí xD
If china died, who will make america their bitch in 2020s?
I'm sure whoever animated Shang's meltdown was just having some fun and was expecting a revision, only for it to be actually approved.
Cherrie Getison I guess the animator did it just to say "fuck you" to the director
Or apparently they try to make it look like the faces that Shang makes looks like something out of a Ren and Stimpy episode.
It does actually. NC should use Shang’s angry animation for the next Top 10 F*up video.
This movie was animated by the Disney Japan studio, so someone from there is at fault
"This movie can friggin' blow me."
Hmm...can it blow with all the force of a great typhoon?
no.....no it can't
is it as mysterious as the dark side of the moon?
Or at least with all the strength of a raging fire?
srbarkerchan definitely not swift as a coursing river.
Oh will all you BE A MAN. Apologies if one of you is a lady. Then again, considering the movie...
Mulan - Mulan saves China
Mulan II - Mulan destroys China
At least the sequel had a different focus.
Same argument as on The Last Jedi.... "At least it was different" xD
Mulan III: Mulan becomes the Communist Dictator of China.
Mulan zedong
hey it's all about balance XD
Mulan IV: Mulan commits suicide
"China is officially destroyed because of this"
Well, I guess we know why there's no Mulan 3.
We should have a third one that's about the fall of China, ending with the historically accurate account of... events.
Disney has been adding parts of the real stories recently. That could happen.
Nor an interesting tv series that centers around that idea, but heaven forbid cuz we got Mulan smegging it all up cuz "Derpity doo! We're Disney and we're not gonna do either of those things, so DEAL WITH IT!!!!".
Toa Matoro But there's sure gonna be a Mulan reboot! Ha ha ha ha!
*looks to side* What?
They really are making a reboot?
Frack.
"The year is 2323, the place is Neo-China....the Cyber-Huns are EVERYWHERE"
To Mulan 2:
Dishonor on you! Dishonor on your whole family! Dishonor on your cow! Dishonor on your director! Dishonor on your scriptwriter! Dishonor on your producers! Dishonor on your fans! Dishonor on your whole crew! Dishonor on Mushu! Dishonor on Mulan! Dishonor on Shang's animation team! Dishonor on your songs! Dishonor on your moral! Dishonor on your existence!!!
Monica Lee
Dishonour your nonexistent honour!
Dishonour on the princesses, or do they get a pass?
*Dante Basco as Zuko:* DISHONOR! DISHONOR! DISHONOR! DISHONOR!
riight
That is a lot of dishonors
I get it. Mushu won. China was plunged into war and he gets to keep his job because Mulan would be on the front lines.
Cooldrop02 I want to see Disney make a sequel out of that, Mulan on the front lines not mushu
DrKlRd no, it's downright devious.
@Inacio's Second Channel In fairness that was because the ancestors were flanderized jackasses as well. Hell Mushu's whole side story is abruptly mean spirited, in the first film he was just the demoted screw up of the organisation that everyone was still cynical towards, in the second one he's a self absorbed punching bag everyone's thriving to get unceremoniously kicked out. I half expect the cancelled third film to have Mushu such an insufferable dick that the ancestors conspire a murder plot against him.
@@ToonReel001 good thing there is no Mushu in the remake
I just have something to say about this movie: Dishonor on you, dishonor on your family, dishonor on your cow!!
Zuko would be triggered by this lol
That's... Just.... Perfect
Zuko: NOOO MY HONOOOOOOORRRRRR
Danny Doble N Hanzo from Overwatch will be also triggered.
+Nerdy George Washington LOL
when the boyfriend yells at Mulan, it looks like his face is about to explode out of his head like bullets.
Anthony Pulli I burst out laughing as soon as I read this comment
It looks like he's getting drilled in the ass by Kung fu panda.
Definitely among the worst Disney movies. Glad we can agree this one was a major insult to the original.
Love your videos!
I agree, this sequel is a complete stupid.
PhantomStrider I just don't get the ending. Did they actually die? I don't remember!
PhantomStrider I just said something about that but it really funny that that he screamed so hard Doug blew his mic and this made number 10 on your worst list
Tello 64
Ummm ....what your saing doesnt make sense.
He thinks that zootopia is better than lion king.
He thinks that the plot is better , the animation is better and tge cgarecters are better.
And i dont agree with him.
But i still love him and subscribe to him.
And you cant say tgat someone is wrong if you dont agree with him.
And you cant diclare who is right and wrong because you disagree.
And aiyng that his opinion suck its like me telling you tgat yiur opinion suck and thats a fact .
And i wont do it because i respect other opinions so stop acting like you are right and he is wrong and have stupid opinions because he disagree with you.
According to Wikipedia, there was at one point going to be a Mulan 3 that dealt with the consequences of the marriage not happening, but it was never made.
Probably because everyone died.
Probably because the story was so graphic Disney wouldn't allow it
i think i know why
because it would have asked "what are the consequences of happily ever after?"
....disney doesnt want there to be any consequences to a happy ending... because
huurr durr follow your heart and everything will be fine.
ya know if it were made, i bet itd have the best story of a disney direct to dvd sequel.
+supersmashbro596 don't you just love deconstructions
I'm now curious what exactly would've happened if they did make it. Especially what kind of moral they'd have to come up with to shove in because of what was established in the second movie.
And this is why the Huns rolled in and created the Yuan dynasty. Thanks Mulan.
ProductiveDiscord It's the Mongols. They say in the movie it's the Mongols
That's assuming the movie got something right. (I joke but you are right, there is an anthropologic difference. Good catch.)
ProductiveDiscord Though I understand why Doug messed considering they both came from beyond the Great Wall. But the Mongols were a descendent from the Xiongnu (an offshoot of the Huns).
At least nether the Huns nor Mongols were dragons fighting Brad Pitt.
ProductiveDiscord Wait what movie was that.
I hated how... uncharacteristic this movie was. Mulan doesn't care what's right, Shang's an asshole, Mushu is even _more_ of an asshole, to the point where he's betraying the person to whom he owes his guardianship in the first place, and instead of a song about finding your own identity, like "Reflections" from the first movie, we get a song about how the princesses "want to be like other girls."
Fuck this movie.
allav866 What disturbed me most was the obvious futility of this, seeing how these "other girls" in China, aside from having lower standards of living and nutrition, get arranged marriages too...
Agreed. It's like Disney's version of "Brian's a Bad Father".
If Mulan two was a tv show it should be about Shan Yn and his rise to power but nobody would watch it. imagine a Disney villain getting his own tv shows
Mulan 1: Badass girl saves China
Mulan 2: Dumb bitch dooms China.
Mulan sequel is the opposite of first movie of Mulan
Who knew it would take Mulan II to finally break Doug...
When I saw him talk out of character about Garbage Pail Kids it looked like he was about to cry
i did. and many other were calling it too.
DoctorWhoBAMF, We did it!
congrats you got over 100 comments in less than an hour

"Horray for western values, everyone! Though, I do feel like we're forgetting something...
Oh, right, China's about to be invaded by the Mongols and we're doing absolutely nothing about it. Sh**."
-CodedLockFilms
hahahahahaha l just love this channel
Veri Nyce Although he does a lot of nitpicking, on this movie - all his points felt completely fair and not nitpicky!
Veri Nyce that my Friend is how the yuan dynasty happened...
And don't forget when they went for the arranged marriage route in Sleeping Beauty it turned out for the best. Guess it's only not okay when it's Asian cultures.
fun fact:
According to studies, couples in arranged marriages (Indian marriages, to be more exact) have less divorces and happier marriage lives than couples in free marriages.....
I haven't seen Doug this pissed off at a Mulan film since Moulin Rouge.

What about "Never-ending Story 3"?
Thank god John Lasseter had put a stop to these shitty sequels.

+Sargent Joe lol
mounir maged Next review is Tarzan II. I don't think He Will survive.
Wow, Doug was so mad he couldn't even deliver a movie-related pun at the end. This must have been seriously awful.
Ya its a pretty bad movie, the love story is between the the princesses and the guys is cute but generic and IMO the mushu breakup plot with mulan and whats his face is hard to watch and a bit over the top.
What's bad is the themes from the first one are completely gone. Honour above all? Nah fuck that marry who you want. Respect is paramount? Nah fuck that just do what you want. It sucks even more for me as the story of Mulan is good, even the Disney version
If he couldn't come up with a pun, then I'll make one for him.
This movie blows with all the force of a great typhoon.
The strength of a coursing river. *of shit*
Tycho Azrephet I haven't seen Mulan II and from watching this review, over my dead body I'm gonna see this including watching small clips.
I think I'm starting to see the true purpose behind these shit sequels. They're supposed to remind us just how much care and art and effort was put into the originals and that makes us see them as more as the masterpieces that they truly are
True beauty never fades you just gotta be reminded every once and a while.
I think the live action remakes are trying to do the same thing.
+Drew Asaro
Strangely, I actually appreciate the hard work that went into the production design like the sets, costumes and effects of those films so much more than most of the Direct To Video movies. Even when I still have a soft spot for the originals, the live action movies felt like they had some effort and passion put into them compared to the awful cash-in Disney DTV sequels.
Well there's no denying that a lot more money is invested into the live action remakes. And that they try to recreate the stories and characters of the original. (For the most part that is...)
Also they exist to help the new animators directors writers build there skill.
This movie is fairly insulting, especially when compared to the original. I just love how it broke Doug.
I can't blame poor old Doug. This movie makes the bad Spongebob and Family Guy episodes like "A Pal for Gary" and "Play it again Brian" look like masterpieces. Also, the animation may be smooth but it looks like something out of a Looney Tunes cartoon. And this duty to your heart cliche is pounded into your skulls like this movie thinks someone was born yesterday. It's gotten the same cruelty as "Ren Seeks Help", lackluster writing like it was "the Felix the Cat movie", unfunny jokes like it was seasons 9-10 of Fairly Oddparents, flanderized characters, animation that goes off the rails, and its portrayal of a marriage like this just makes the insult worse! This whole movie is like a beating on your child's brains! If I was diagnosed with terminal illness and the only cure for it was by watching this film, I'd say "Give me another terminal illness just so I can die faster!!!"
@@inaciostudiosmedia229 Not only that, but what triggered me the most was that Mulan's character arc was, "instead of brute force, we can use logic, physics, reason and intelligence to fight our way through!". They literally went and degraded her to be "Oh no! Women forced into marriage is bad! I disagree with the Emperor!!!". They had so much potential to carry her arc forward and give us a good feel of what Mulan can do, and perhaps even a new character arc to work on. Instead, they just give her the role of "well this thing is bad...". So much potential lost.
Furthermore, everyone else's arc was basically to "use their different strengths to achieve the same goal" and to "be accepting of other's qualities instead of looking at their weaknesses and drawbacks". Where did that all go? Oh right: "I like these women, and I wanna marry them. Hopefully they like me back!" Really lacklustre, and so, so much potential lost.
same. for someone like doug who has poor taste in films it was funny to witness him flip out over a disney sequel. i do agree its one of the worst but ive seen shitter films than mulan 2
*Warning shows up at the beginning*
Dis gon b gud.
BrownieComicWriter Eh heh heh!
( I HATE how they made Mulan so weak and soft hearted.
Not to mention she's basically a hypocrite about the whole arranged marriage thing! 😡😡)
I never want to watch this movie if that's what they do to Mulan (she's probably my third or fourth favorite Disney heroine).
***** Probably Belle, Kida, and Tiana, in that order.
ElectricMayhem87 (Ashleigh)
(Yeah. She's my second favorite heroine.
1. Esmeralda (HOND)
2. Mulan (Mulan)
3. Sally (Nightmare Before Christmas. Yes that is a Disney movie.)
4. Meg (Hercules)
5. Belle (BATB) )
Mulan is honestly my top favorite Disney female protagonist, and I have seen this movie... It hurt me deep, deep in my soul to see how they destroyed her character in this pile of fucking shit.
Kefka Palazzo
Thanks, Kefka. Hope you move on to bigger and better things.
Honestly this movie wouldn't even be so bad if they didn't completely shit on Mushu's character. They turned an adorable little sidekick into a straight-up villain. What the actual fuck?!
It also completely screwed Shang's characterization too. He went from a serious hardass who still cares about and wants the best from his army in the original to a complete asshole in the sequel. Thank god this isn't canon since Disney made that a rule with these DTV sequels when Lasseter took over the animation side of Disney.
It also screwed over thr whole of China. What with ruining the marriagea and thus leading to the death of thousands. That ending was the worse ending ever.
I think the issue is that the original Mulan was generally dignified. Yeah, it had its humor and what have you, but the story was serious and there were more than a few moments where it showed respect for the source material. This was just a complete disgrace to its source material. Hardly unique in the sequels, but hey.
AardvarkLord Absolutely. Heck, the songs stop coming halfway through once they get to the actual war, showing that from here on out, the fun is over and it's all serious from here. As opposed to this movie which literally has a scene of Mulan squeeing with joy over the princesses and comic relief getting together. Because, you know, that's TOTALLY something she would do.
Yeah, I hated this movie too. Mulan is one of my favorite Disney characters; I hated what they did to her in this movie. ☹️
Still not as bad as what is speculated to have happened to her in real history.
missystar013
Mulan >>>>(power gap)>>>>> every other disney princess
She's got plenty of personality in the first movie.
bluebirdy876 I didn't see it, but I understand now. I actually tried to think of one trait off the top of my head. Brave ... slacker? Tom ... boy? It's hard to pin down because she's a bit vague, even in the first part with the matchmaker. I got more about the harsh life of Chinese women from the book Snow Flower and the Secret Fan. I even want to see the live action version because I was left wanting more.
Mulan 2 is like batman v superman which only had 3 minutes of fighting and sonic 06 which had him do nothing to the plot and Blair witch 2
"Hey guys, the audio is messed up because I broke the mic with my screaming"
Ohhhhhh this is going to be good.

Just imagine what the First Viewing was like
@@bourne2crimson397 bet they were drunk
We all would
@@benjackson7872 yeah
I just came back from his review of it, that he uploaded today.
The reason this one pisses me off so much, other than the fact that they ruined my favorite character in the princess line-up, is that they just did not give a damn about the history or culture they were working out of. The first one really wanted to impress upon the audience what kind of climate this girl was growing up in, where gender politics was practically non-existent and marrying for love hadn't even been thought of before. But in this one, instead of being an exception to the rule, Mulan apparently just crushed the rule beneath her feat. The whole "follow your heart" message pisses me off not just because the princesses are basically using it as an excuse to blow off their duty to their country, but also because it undermines and spits in the face of everything they worked so hard to convey in the first movie, which, in my opinion, is one of the worst and most insulting things a sequel can do.
Not to mention the song the princesses sing makes no sense for the time. Girls in China in that time period were not allowed to do much of anything. The princesses had the same amount of freedom as other girls.
At least Kung Fu Panda got it right. (Though I'd say "Legends of Awesomeness" is the "Mulan 2" of that franchise. Oh well, can't win em all...)
"Good, good. Catch your lightsaber, Nostalgic Critic, attack me with all your hatred. and your path at the dark side of the Force will be completed." - Disney

SHAMEFUL DISPRAY!
I hated the part about Mushu. I kept looking away and just trying to ignore the fact that he was so mean and out of character. The best part of this movie was tge first bit and the song Lesson Number One.
Rewrite: After the first song Shang cones by and proposes. Mulan accepts, Mushu is happy for them but when he realizes he will loose his guardian status instead of being a selfish tool he hides it from her not wanting to spoil things.
Then before they can get married war breaks out (crap!) so Stang goes off to fight while Mulan stays behind to protect her village from invaders. The Emperor contacts their allies but sends his daughters to Mulan to be protected as they are the future of China and the allies may not arrive in time. Mulan protects them but gets frustrated with constantly having to save them as she protects her own people so she teaches them how to fight so they can protect themselves.
Meanwhile Shang is with the three comic relief guys on the battlefield but there is not much time for comedy (because you know, war). In a sword fight Shang is pushed to what we can assume is his death. The three guys are of course devastated and ask permission to go to Mulan's village and give her the news. They are allowed to go bit must return to the battle field within two weeks.
Back at the village one of the Mulan's older trainee girls is kidnapped (she is mistaken for a princess as she was dressing up in her clothes). Mulan goes after her telling the princesses to protect her village. The princess are afraid that they will fail as they have not been training long. Mulan reminds them that "it's ok to be afraid" (from the song -maybe a short reprise) but tells them not to let fear stop them.
The comic relief guys show up and finding Mulan gone decide to help the princesses defend the village as long as they can. They save each others lives and start to fall for each other (you know how it is when there's war)
Of course Mushu and the Cricket sneak into Mulan's stuff and join her. Mulan ends up at the battlefield and learns of Shang's death. She is devastated but continues in her quest to find the kidnapped girl. Mushu hearing of Shang's death seems conflicted. On one hand he can keep his guardianship but on the other he hates to see Mulan do upset and Shang was starting to grow in him.
Mulan makes it to enemy territory. She gets in a fight. She is out numbered and captured. Some know her as the defender of China so the decide to use her as leverage instead of killing her. Yet. (those Huns are cruel). After she is tied up she sees her pack near by and calls for Mushu to release her but he is gone.
Back at her village the comic relief guys' time is up, but the princesses don't want them to go. They are also concerned that Mulan hadn't returned. Since the village is now secure they all leave to search for Mulan.
(Maybe a break for a lament song about duty to their country and how Mulan and the comic relief guys were supposed to protect their friends and family but failed)
The Chinese army meets the Hun army and fighting ensues. Mulan manages to eacape and joins the army. She is almost killed but saved by Shang (yes he's alive! Of course). And who is at his side? Mushu! One of the princess is captured but escapes as the Hun soldier was not expecting her to fight back or be able to. She finds the kidnapped girl and they are all reunited. The allies arrive and the Huns are defeated. Happiness, marriage etc. ensues.
But then Mulan sees Mushu packing his bags. She asks him where he is going. He says away because he has lost his guardianship and she doesn't need him anymore. Mulan asks Shang to do that whole combine the temples thing they did at the end and now everybody's happy *Oprah voice* You get a happy ending! You get a happy ending! Everybody gets a happy endiiiiing!
The End.
Ayanna Watts That is so awesome!
Love the idea of the princesses getting trained
This fanfic is better than the plot of this crappy sequel
I don't usually like reading fanfics but this caught my eye and I liked it, BRAVO
Ayanna Watts You, my friend are simply brilliant! This would've been way more packed with unbelievable action and amazing animation and just imagine possibilities with the music, my goodness! This would've done justice to the first movie.
See, this is one where they needed to do a Casablanca ending. There are some things more important than following your heart in this world.
That's what makes Casablanca a classic, due to the fact that sometimes sacrifice of one's happiness has to be done for the greater good.

The only thing that I liked about this movie is Shang's "death." Mulan's initial reaction was really effective in my opinion. Other than that, there is nothing redeemable about this movie. Even as a kid, Mushu's behavior infuriated me.
maddogpony damn right
maddogpony, I thought he died.
This scene was pretty epic, but everything before and after was either forgettable or infuriating.
I remember being pissed that he survived when I first saw it (not because of his character, I like him, but because the story at that point suddenly got a lot more interesting).
It obliterated my hope that Disney finally fucking learned.

Unlike Doug, I was really into Mulan back in the day. I loved how rich in Chinese culture it was and how strong of a character Mulan was. It was one of my favorite Disney films.
That said, I completely agree with Doug about how this was the worst. I only saw the last 20 minutes and parts of this film and I could already tell that it was awful. After Doug explained more about it, I can say that it is one I will avoid. It irked me before and it still gets under my skin like no other.
Blasphemy, Doug, the screaming boyfriend animation is a classic meme by now.
Mulan II, in my opinion, is the worst Disney sequel ever!

Mulan 1 was my favorite disney movie growing up. When I heard there was a Mulan 2 I was so excited! I was 11 or 12 at the time when it was released, my parents bought it for me immediately, and I was so heart broken after watching it. It is a movie I would love to just completely forget as I felt it ruined the first movie for me. But now that I am older I can love the first again, and I just flat out reject the second.

- Blank Check (1994)
- Between Cars (2006) & Cars 2 (2011)
- Flubber (1997)

- Home on the Range (2004)
- Inspector Gadget (1999)
- Jungle 2 Jungle (1997)
- Maleficent (2014)
- Monsters University (2013)
- Mr. Magoo (1997)
- Mulan II (2004)
- The Odd Life of Timothy Green (2012)
- Star Wars, Episode II: Attack of the Clones (2002)
- Thor: The Dark World (2013)
Hannah Papernick-Yudin He hates Hercules?
getmarioN64 Does Attack of the Clones not count as that wasn't Disney at the time and it was done by Fox?
Carl Wheezer yeah
Carl Wheezer he even said it’s definitely one of his least favorites
And The Aristocats.
Mulan II bothered me because it was like they just gave up on the first movie's concept
It just doesn't make sense for the girl who ran away from home to join the army and fight for her country to make these decisions. The whole concept of honor just never made it into the sequel
ikr!
Well I'm glad that Doug also hated this movie, cause I also hated it. And you know why? Mulan is one of my favorite "Disney princess" movie and watching this is like if it was an insult to the original. And I also feel sorry to Doug for watching this piece of garbage.
***** basically like a Character Development Reset, but much much worst.
I believe the trope is character derailment
this is probably one of my favorite disney sequels but...there was a lot brought up here that I didn't really think of when I watched it. Lol. not as angry as NC but will probably look at this differently from now on.

You know this film is so bad when doug destroys his own mic for Mulan 2 with his screaming.
Screaming..? Distorted audio..? Where? I don't hear that anywhere in the video.
Kaim Argonar yea
There are slight twinges that I'm catching on but, other than that, there's not really anything wrong
Bummer, and I got all excited from the intro. How disappointing, I would've thought this as a normal video without that.
Kaim Argonar yea
Agreed
I love how this is all expressed over calming music lol.
I liked the song "I wanna be like other girls". That was actually the first song I liked...
destinyawaitsx3 I liked the end credits version better.
Doug didn't scream at Hunchback II.
Nor The Little Mermaid II, for that matter.
He didn't yell at Beauty and the Beast III
He didn't care all that much about Lion King 1 1/2
He found Pocahontas II to be a bit more interesting than the first
And he had a few nice things to say about Tarzan & Jane, and Milo's Return
But *Mulan II* is the one that broke him.
IT IS *THAT BAD*, PEOPLE!
bless you doug, i feel like this film does not get the amount of hate it deserves
hinasakukimi I felt the same too I absolutely hated how nearly half the characters in this sequel just acted out of character. ESPECIALLY SHANG THEY BUTCHERED HIM :'(
Lance Clearman Hahaha I can't remember exactly but I think he was angry coz he found out the princesses were in love with yao, chien po and ling, and Mulan was okay with that. that...was probably the worst animation on Shang I've ever seen
Funnily I just watched it last week myself and like it despite it's premise.
But the scene in question is after Mushu puts on a shadow puppet display, impersonating Mulan while badmouthing Shang which causes him to storm out to find her and go off his nut.
Lupirio i hate pretty much everything about mushu in this film. he was so unbelievably petty and selfish, i have no idea why they would write him in such a way. i think the princess stuff was cute though, but like doug pointed out they just completely ignored the consequences of them just deciding not to get married.
hinasakukimi yeah I think Mushu should have add in his great stone dragon voice that the two cities join together regardless of who the princesses marry and defeat the Huns. That could have worked...
Although the follow your heart stuff is annoying but I still like the I wanna be like other girls song. I guess when I first watched it I didn't realise the fact that the princesses marrying those princes had such high stacks although I was young when I first saw it so..😅
Who else came back to watch this after watching NC’s Mulan 2 review?
Me
I really loved the first Mulan movie. I hated what they did to her character in the second movie.
He didn't really scream - if you want screaming, go see any of his Nostalgia Critic vids.
It's also possible that he edited or removed the screaming.
Ahh yes.. Like that good old review of 'The Garbage Pail Kids Movie'. Dear God, that movie is the definition of terrible and a great example of how not to make a motion picture.
Especially if it's done by the same jackass who did that "My Mother The Car" TV series.
ShadowNinja Or The top 11 Nostalgia critic fuck ups.
Most likely the sound levels were edited in post to be brought down to lower levels. You can occasionally hear the mic peaking and distorting in quality. 5:38 is a good moment where you can hear it. The distortion doesn't go away if your mic peaks/blows out but you can still adjust the levels in post.
This was the one, people. This was the Disney movie that caused Doug to blow his mic out.
Not Home On the Range.
Not Cars 2.
Not Chicken Little.
Not Belle's Magical World.
This.
Fucking.
Movie.
And we're not even close to the end!
The first Mulan is one of my favourite Disney movies of all time.
The sequel can only be described as a radioactive dumpster fire.
Spot on review. This movie was shit.
Joseph Wiles Beyond shit.
IKR. This is the worst direct to DVD Disney sequel that I ever seen. I hate how they made a lovable sidekick from the original, Mushu, to such a hateable dick in the sequel.
May god have Mercy on that microphone
doug blew out the mic? holy cow, this has got to be REALLY BAD... fyi, doug, the audio is STILL fine despite that, so yay for tearing this a new one? believe it or not, there was also supposed to be a Mulan III. 3!! but it was canceled BEFORE this came out so... even Disney themselves hate and are ashamed of this sequel! let THAT sink in guys.
Mulan was an excellent movie, but the sequel was the worst thing ever
Yeah. It got 0% on Rotten Tomatoes.
ThePixarPrincess oi
+ThePixarPrincess 0%?! Damn. I can see why.
The film needs to be buried and forgotten in the sands of time!
Did the Huns even show up in this movie?
Nope, it was actually the Mongolians this time.
fatalshot009 Yeah, the Huns were the villains in the first movie.
Marco Hidalgo God damn Mogolians, stay away from my shitty wall
@@marcohidalgo1101 I guess this movie was the reason why the Mongols conquered China.
What does Doug Want? A Squeal worth writing for!
Like "Doug's 2nd Movie" that would be a great sequel worth waiting for.
LMAO
LMMFAO
*sequel
Oh GOD this was a bad one. I feel sorry for you Doug.
Dylan Gray no Hunchback of Notre Dame 2 was bad this was ehh.
Dylan Gray Mr. Enter has a review in plans. See you there.
Dylan Gray the main character dies in Rogue One
Cam and Will {ARCHIVE} Spoiler Alert!
Dylan Gray, I feel bad
Mulan 2 made me sad. It just seemed so wrong.
Me too, since "Mulan" is one of my favorite Disney films.
Agreed. It's like if Don Bluth really hated children. And wanted to figure out how to make the parents punish them without necessarily beating them, and yet the psychological scars would still be the same.
Me too especially since I grew up watching the original
Doug: "This movie can freakin blow me."
Me: "NO DOUG! YOU'LL GET THE WORST STD IMAGINABLE!!"
Doug is dead, and Disney has killed him.
No. Everytime the TV show" Doug" is mentioned Doug dies. He is only brought back by Rob's dark necromancer powers
Igna Grebe, we killed him
And the TV show "Doug" is owned by Disney. Disneyception incoming.
Rip Doug
2016~2016
I knew Disney was evil.
Correct me if I'm wrong cause I only watched this movie once but isn't it pretty much stated or at least heavily implied that cause the Dragon pretended to be the God that the God basically was saying that they were going to have an alliance without the marriage.
Mushu Ex Machina
He didn't say anything about the alliance.
Doug was so angry that he didnt even care watching the rest of the film, a mistake for him.
It's an implication, but it is stated later on that the marriage is to please the Dragon God of Love or whatever to lead them into a new age of peace with China. Also, it's shown that all the suitors suck.
TheBrownTown008 Considering that's never part of the plan, the characters were still assholes for saying "I know millions will die, but what about TRUE LOVEEE?"
you know its gonna be good with that opening message lmao
One thing I did like about this movie was the relationship between the three guys and the princesses. I thought it was cute and more enjoyable to watch than the rest of the movie
And to think there was going to be a Mulan III... Thank goodness it was cancelled along with Dumbo 2 and AristoCats 2.
Sir Isaac dumbo 2 lol
Thank goodness there was never a dumbo 2.
Is it bad that I actually wanted to see bad AristoCats 2 could’ve been?
There was going to be:
• Mulan 3
• Dumbo 2
• Chicken Little: The Ugly Duckling Story
• Meet the Robinsons: First Date
• The Aristocats 2
• The Seven Dwarfs (Prequel to Snow White)
I'm Not KIDDING. If it wasn't for the must-not-be-named director of Toy Story who got the job of Chief Executive at Disney in 2006, we would've gotten all of these sequels and prequels. I SWEAR!!
+Edgar Leal I am glad they never destroyed mulan further, I am glad they never destroyed dumbo or snow white, and I am happy that we would have never gotten another piece of **** chicken little movie.
Nostalgia Chick basically summed up this movie:
Mulan: Your Majesty, an arranged marriage?
Lindsay: An arranged marriage? The thing I was knowingly and willingly ready to do for my family honor in the last movie and now apparently totally against?
Shang when he's yelling looks exactly like the matchmaker from the first movie yelling after Mulan screws up her interview.
Who is here after the Nostalgic Critic review???
I remember my little sister wanted to put a film on, I said "Oh which one" and she said "Mulan". So i got the dvd case and before i put it into the ps4 she said "Oh no I want the second one on". The glare I gave her was something out of a horror movie (apparently, she told me afterwards) and I put the first one in and she's never asked since.
Still though, great job on surviving Doug and I'm reaaly liking disneycember so far.
You were a very good older sibling.
Good job putting your sister in her place (not even kidding)
Tbh she is quite young
Better to teach the young about the atrocities of bad stories
If you watch the bonus material for this movie, the creators express that they originally wanted the princesses to be manipulative, but they thought that would be going too far. So yeah, they knew darn well how mean-spirited they were making this film.
Why isn't "Angry Shang." A meme yet?!
This is where I stopped watching Disney sequels.
Why does he keep calling Shang "The boyfriend"
I think thats basically his whole roll in the film
cause they took whatever character shang had left and made him 'the boyfriend' only for plot reasons.
Robin Burn Probably didn't care enough to remember what his name was. I know I couldn't think of it.
Robin Burn maybe cause he just wasn't that memorable to him in the first one
It's fairly sloppy for him not to know the name of a main character in the movie he's reviewing, he reviews movies for a living he should have at least taken 3 seconds to research it.
If he was doing it intentionally he should have stated that that is what he was doing, because it just sounds like he couldn't be bothered to google it.
"I was screaming so loud, I blew up the mic."
Oh....wow... This is going to suck isn't it?
Not to mention that Shang was SERIOUSLY out of character the whole movie... like... he looked like a total idiot.
I can't blame you, Doug. This movie makes "A Pal for Gary", "One Coarse Meal" and "Boating Buddies" look like masterpieces!
I mean each one is only 11 mins while this is an hour and a half
Finally, we killed Doug.
You cannot kill what is already dead.
Angel Castaneda good
"Kaz... i am already a demon"
donald trump hater I liked TII. :P
Meh. THat was just boring. It wasnt....THIS
8 more Disney sequels to go...8 MORE!! Trust me Doug the spin off films like Buzz Lightyear and Tinkerbell, the Pooh movies and the Mickey Mouse stuff are the only decent things that would come out from DisneyToon Studios. Plus Bambi 2 and Cinderella 3, in my opinion, are the better sequels that are still left to go!
I love the forewarning about the microphone. 👌
Pretty ironic how Mulan saved China in the first movie, and then in this sequel she is the main guilty of his destruction
It's like poetry it rhymes.
I like to think this takes place in a different messed up universe
Well the Mongols did conquer China, so I'd argue that this movie was historically accurate.
Possibly the most irritating plot point is the way the three princesses just instantly fall in love with the three goofball sidekicks, just because they were quirky and funny. Beyond being the most ridiculous lie possible, it doesn't even feel natural in the context of the movie.
How about this for a plot: Mulan is recruited as an ambassador to reach out to the other kingdom and forge an alliance, with her now fiance accompanying her. But the other kingdom just assumes that HE is the ambassador, and maybe he starts acting as a surrogate while she guides him from the background. Heck, they could even keep the marriage plot and make it so that the only way to form an alliance is if she marries the prince or whatever, and she's torn between her duty and love. Then everything comes to a head when she has to once again prove her prowess but not as a warrior, but as a tactician and leader. Blah blah blah, the kingdom realizes they were assholes, women can be leaders too, the alliance is formed, everybody is happy, etc.
Or hell, if they wanted to keep the romantic plot with the princesses, make it with the princes they have to marry! It would be the best of both worlds with the alliance and marrying for love! The princesses could bond with the princess and bada bing bada boom!
It's The Swan Princess, but with Mulan characters. Kinda.
Somebody Oughta turn Shang's crazy face into a MEME now. 2:56
In the movie it's disturbing, but you know that face has gotta become a meme.
Jose Loreto the face of constipation
