I rather have then just show off the game and talk about it than actually announcing it. It would be cool to see some gameplay or even confirmation that the game is actually being made. I highly doubt they will even mention Forza Horizon 6 on the Xbox event but a man can hope.

Launching a Game right before or after GTA is the biggest mistake anyone could make unless you have a loyal fan base that doesn't play GTA, which is rare, and Forza isn't included since GTA has many car related stuff. Its the same as releasing a movie together with Avengers Endgame. Personally, i would go with FH6 cuz im not a GTA type of guys, but i am 1% of the population. They are not going to release FH6 later 2025, i can only see it being release on early 2025, early 26s or late 26s.
Well i respectfully disagree, since in reality, if you ask any real car head that's into open world car racing what they would choose between GTA & Forza, then the majority would go for a Horizon game while majority of gamers that just wanna play something fun in general that's not just restricted to car racing would go for GTA. That's really what the mass appeal is about, so all in all they're not even in the same genre of gaming besides both being set in an open world. But personally, i feel like GTA is severely overrated & really don't understand the hype, and if PG wants to take themselves seriously to the competition & raise the boldness bar then they gotta make bold moves unlike other scared game devs and release their most popular title around the same time since we ALL know their Motorsport series would be attempting suicide if they even thought of trying this. But at the end of the day we've all got our own individual opinions, so it is what it is 🤷♂️

Fm8 is a mess and making a new horizon is asking for a even bigger mess for them to clean up with the amount of bugs and etc that game will go threw on launch. We literally watched this happen with 5 and how long it took them to clean the game up,so making another horizon is asking for all levels off issues on top of them somewhat cleaning up the firey mess that is motorsport atm.
a big problem is that it is pretty clear that fh6 will not release in 2024, likely 2025, but when in 2025? GTA 6 will likely drop in November as that is prime position for the biggest AAA titles. We could get a Spring release as that was originally the FM 2023 release time. considering that GTA6 has a lot of driving elements and is a big open-world game, they are too similar for them to be released at the same time.
With TDU SC releasing this September and GTA 6 releasing late next year, I hardly see Forza Horizon 6 getting any successful release (this year or next) It would be bad timing for Playground with those 2 titles coming up and they would have step up big time to get some decent sales

I'm one of those that does think it's a possibility and do hope it will. I do understand it may not though, and also understand why people think that. A few reasons I think it's possible from the top of my head: The car packs they've been releasing consistently have stopped. The last one could have been the last, then again, it could just be a month without. They are updating the game, adding plenty of good cars, however besides that, there isn't much so you could interpret that as them slowing down content. The map is also feeling it's age. It's a pretty bland map by comparison to previous games, and there's only so long before people are bored of it and move away. This has already happened with many people and a new game with a new map would certainly bring players back, still acknowledging that the game is popular still. Ultimately we'll probably know next week if it will be this year or not, so it'll be interesting to see how it unfolds.
Yeah but this is where things can get a bit interesting as this month we haven't had a car pack so I think this could be them starting to slow down a bit. Ericship111 made a very good point on one of his recent videos saying that because Forza Horizon 6 will be for the Series X/S and PC only then for the players who haven't upgraded to the new console playground games will keep the servers for Horizon 5 going and the newly content may continue to flow into horizon 5 during horizon 6's lifespan. So whatever new car Horizon 6 gets Horizon 5 will also get and visa versa. We never know perhaps Playground Games could have the new models done in time for launch if it launches this year. But it does make you wonder how Motorsport is going to get the new models.
In my opinion, it’s highly unlikely FH6 is announced this year since Playground Games is still introducing new content to FH5. The developers are probably taking their time with the next Horizon game, similar to what Turn 10 did with the recent Forza Motorsport reboot.
It might seem plausible that if FH6 releases this year, the new car models won't be added at launch, which would seem a bit weird given that most of the cars being remodeled are (almost) always available at launch. If they go this route, it could be that they're reintroduced in a Playlist or in a DLC pack later, which again would be strange and a little off-putting. We also don't know WHEN they started working on this new car models, so we might actually see them at launch as well.
Hello I see people saying that FH6 won't release soon because of the content that's still being added. I understand this point but also they introduced car packs almost every month because they needed the money to support FH5 while finishing up FH6. And another argument in favor ov FH6 releasing is that The Crew 2 still had updates after Motorfest was released, so really everything is possible
Naaah i play now a long time the Horizon series and they only drop everytime 2 DLCs and we already got the 2 DLCs I have a big believe that they will show FH6 tomorrow but about the release idk
I think FH6 will come in 2025.. but I do think there is a chance we will get a hint that it's coming next year in the showcase.. but I think they will keep the location secret until mid 2025.

Honestly I could see Horizon 6 being announced, but with absolutely zero gameplay, screenshots or anything, literally just the game being announced and them going “we’re working on it, but it ain’t coming this year, stay tuned” sort of thing
Credible leakers have already stated what’s going to be in the Xbox showcase, and not one of them said fh6 was among the list. This combined with the devs already having alluded a couple livestreams ago that fh6 is still a long ways off basically means fh6 isn’t happening this or even next year.
I personally believe that it'll come out this year my predictions are either 1. FH6 will be announced or 2. We'll get a FH6 teaser trailer cause on November 9th 2024 it'll be 3 years since the original launch of FH5 and as for Fable there's no confirmed date yet and according to articles that Fable might be releasing in 2025 but if I'm wrong then I'll come back to my comment and I'll admit that I'm wrong but anyways that's my own personal theories and thoughts

The only thing we will see from Playground Games at the Xbox Showcase is the trailer for the new Fable. Since the release of FM8 has been postponed by a year, the same can be expected for FH6. Let's not forget that Turn 10 studio has downsized, so they definitely lost some additional hands. Unless they surprise us and have taken another studio under their wing.
There’s 2 teams at Playground, one for each game their working one… and Turn 10 Not releasing FM in time doesn’t have any impact on FH6…. Those Forza have always separate release dates…
The people that are working on fable are not the same people that are working on Forza, Playground have teams that works on different games, one for Fable & one for FH so there is no shortage or slow down It's like saying the car models are the same people that are working on the drivatars (there are group of people there working for UI, Clothing for drivatars etc)
They should wait until next year. The lineup this year is strong, and so is next year. Release it during the holiday season of 2025 alongside Fable and Perfect Dark.
I highly doubt it will come out this year let alone be announced, firstly playground are struggling making the fable reboot, Secondly we now know they're going to be re scanning cars to get more accurate car models, Another reason is that they're still clearly making content for horizon 5 and lastly i just don't think it would make sense to release the game this year due to the things i just said so no i doubt we'll get a reveal next week.

I would be shocked if they had a full-on official announcement and release date. FH5 is still getting consistent updates with no end date nearby. Motorsport isn't finished and polished. And with the back lash of that game it's safe to say Horizon 6 is a year or two away from even an official release date. Bunker down my bunnies.🐰
I hope the game isn't released this year for several reasons. Firstly, Horizon 5 took the developers 50% longer to develop compared to Horizon 2, 3, and 4, yet it was still limited by the original Xbox One, which can only play the game at 720p and 30fps. As a result, even with the extra development time, it didn't feel like a true "next-gen" game. Secondly, if the developers are correct and the car assets can't be updated, they will need to be included in the upcoming Horizon game from the start. Creating just one car model takes a significant amount of time, so completing the nine cars listed, along with their regular work, will take a while. Lastly, I want to see Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown succeed without its sales being impacted by the release of Horizon 6.
fh1 - 2012 Fh2 -2014 Fh3 2016 Fh4 2018 Fh5 2021 Fh6 = 2024 q4 And every time they release Motorsport a year later horizon comes out . I’m guessing you only been around since fh4

Remember, Matt Booty has confirmed 4-6 Year Development Cycles for all "Next Gen Only" Games, 2025 would be 4 Years and fits Booty's Statement, it also then allows Microsoft to time the Games Launch around the Release of the Mid Life Refresh of the Series X for Maximum Possible Sales Impact to Boost the Sales of the Redesigned Series X which would massively boost Microsofts Profit Margins. Yet even then I think 2025 (Let alone this year) is too Soon! as utterly fed up of Mexico as I am, I think next Year, let alone this year, is far too soon for the Game to be Finished! @@GamerDaSkater I've been playing Forza games since the release of Motorsport 3. The only reason why they have been releasing a Horizon game a year after every Motorsport is for a consistent revenue stream, but as they have the paid DLC packs they don't need a new game as much for that revenue stream to continue in the same was as it did in the eighth generation. They also did the same with Forza Horizon 4 when we all found out about the fifth game taking three years to develop instead of two. You can't look at release cycle of a game franchise's older game's anymore to get an idea of when next game would release as it's now always changing. Now the only games that have a yearly release cycle are sports game which only have minor changes year after year and game's franchises that have multiple development studios such as Call Of Duty, but as Playground Games is one studio who are also getting Fable finished it is understandable that things will slow down.

I think them teasing information about fh6 next week could be possible but them actually giving big chucks of info away is unlikely. They might only tell us the location and if it'll be next gen only. I think them also giving a broad estimate of the release date would put some inpatient people at ease.

0% chance that FH6 gets released this year and probably very little chance we see it in 2025. The turn around on AAA games is not that fast anymore and the level of effort PGG is currently investing in FH5 would suggest a successor is not coming soon.
Anyine that genuinely thinks FH6 will be released this year must still be leaving coomies and milk out for Santa Claus. We might hear something this year, but even then, i personally doubt it. If PG announces any game news, it'll probably be for the next Fable game. It's been a while since anything has been said on it, so that's more likely. The earliest it would launch is fall next year.

I've preached the words of Matt Booty for a while now that mainline games these days will reportedly take a lot longer to make, and I'm sticking by it. I won't be salty if the game comes out this year, but I think it'll be silly of them to go back on their word. ALSO, really random question. On that leaked car list of yours, is the 1963 Shelby Monaco King Cobra present? I miss that car incredibly much. Little worried it won't make the cut into FH5.

Got FH 4 when it came out. My first console. Played all weekly content. Went back and played 1,2 & 3. FH5: have played every week until recently. Just over it now. They really need to come out with 6. This one is dead. Yeah, new cars but everything else is just same stuff over and over. And rally expansion freaking sucked.
With the amount of content being added to FH5, I believe FH6 probably will not be releasing this year sadly

If they go this route, it could be that they're reintroduced in a Playlist or in a DLC pack later, which again would be strange and a little off-putting. We also don't know WHEN they started working on this new car models, so we might actually see them at launch as well.

Hello I see people saying that FH6 won't release soon because of the content that's still being added. I understand this point but also they introduced car packs almost every month because they needed the money to support FH5 while finishing up FH6. And another argument in favor ov FH6 releasing is that The Crew 2 still had updates after Motorfest was released, so really everything is possible

Credible leakers have already stated what’s going to be in the Xbox showcase, and not one of them said fh6 was among the list. This combined with the devs already having alluded a couple livestreams ago that fh6 is still a long ways off basically means fh6 isn’t happening this or even next year.

The only thing we will see from Playground Games at the Xbox Showcase is the trailer for the new Fable. Since the release of FM8 has been postponed by a year, the same can be expected for FH6. Let's not forget that Turn 10 studio has downsized, so they definitely lost some additional hands. Unless they surprise us and have taken another studio under their wing.

The people that are working on fable are not the same people that are working on Forza, Playground have teams that works on different games, one for Fable & one for FH so there is no shortage or slow down
It's like saying the car models are the same people that are working on the drivatars (there are group of people there working for UI, Clothing for drivatars etc)
They should wait until next year. The lineup this year is strong, and so is next year. Release it during the holiday season of 2025 alongside Fable and Perfect Dark.

Forza Horizon 6 will 100% have the 2025 Porsche Mission X as the cover car. It is a hypercar that is planned to be produced in 2025.

I would be shocked if they had a full-on official announcement and release date. FH5 is still getting consistent updates with no end date nearby. Motorsport isn't finished and polished. I hope the game isn't released this year for several reasons. Firstly, Horizon 5 took the developers 50% longer to develop compared to Horizon 2, 3, and 4, yet it was still limited by the original Xbox One, which can only play the game at 720p and 30fps. As a result, even with the extra development time, it didn't feel like a true "next-gen" game. Secondly, if the developers are correct and the car assets can't be updated, they will need to be included in the upcoming Horizon game from the start. Creating just one car model takes a significant amount of time, so completing the nine cars listed, along with their regular work, will take a while. Lastly, I want to see Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown succeed without its sales being impacted by the release of Horizon 6.

Remember, Matt Booty has confirmed 4-6 Year Development Cycles for all "Next Gen Only" Games, 2025 would be 4 Years and fits Booty's Statement, it also then allows Microsoft to time the Games Launch around the Release of the Mid Life Refresh of the Series X for Maximum Possible Sales Impact to Boost the Sales of the Redesigned Series X which would massively boost Microsofts Profit Margins.
Yet even then I think 2025 (Let alone this year) is too Soon! as utterly fed up of Mexico as I am, I think next Year, let alone this year, is far too soon for the Game to be Finished! @@GamerDaSkater I've been playing Forza games since the release of Motorsport 3. The only reason why they have been releasing a Horizon game a year after every Motorsport is for a consistent revenue stream, but as they have the paid DLC packs they don't need a new game as much for that revenue stream to continue in the same was as it did in the eighth generation. They also did the same with Forza Horizon 4 when we all found out about the fifth game taking three years to develop instead of two. You can't look at release cycle of a game franchise's older game's anymore to get an idea of when next game would release as it's now always changing. Now the only games that have a yearly release cycle are sports game which only have minor changes year after year and game's franchises that have multiple development studios such as Call Of Duty, but as Playground Games is one studio who are also getting Fable finished it is understandable that things will slow down.

The Car Sounds are indeed Awful, they Really need to Step up on FH6! Changing over to the WWise Middleware (as used by Motorfest) and Recording all the Games Cars in Catesby Tunnel (which is 30 Minutes away from PGG) with a Neumann KU-100 "Dummy Head" Binaural Microphone System would soon get the Car sounds up to Scratch IMO!
One thing however, it was Mike Brown who Ruined Horizon 4 and 5 by Chasing after the Fortnite Bandwagon, he was the one who Introduced all the Wokeness as well! FH5 has made Several Improvements since he Left! the Game has Improved pretty Dramatically in Fact! I think them teasing information about fh6 next week could be possible but them actually giving big chucks of info away is unlikely. They might only tell us the location and if it'll be next gen only. I think them also giving a broad estimate of the release date would put some inpatient people at ease.

0% chance that FH6 gets released this year and probably very little chance we see it in 2025. The turn around on AAA games is not that fast anymore and the level of effort PGG is currently investing in FH5 would suggest a successor is not coming soon.

It is never going to Happen. FH1 was a One Off, and Microsoft Corporate Policy for Forza, which, as of 2019 now *Mandates* a PEGI 3/ESRB E Rating for all Forza Games, makes a Remake of FH1 (which would be a PEGI 16 at Least now under the Current, Post 2018, Rule Set!) Impossible. Please move on.

Got FH 4 when it came out. My first console. Played all weekly content. Went back and played 1,2 & 3. FH5: have played every week until recently. Just over it now. They really need to come out with 6. This one is dead. Yeah, new cars but everything else is just same stuff over and over. And rally expansion freaking sucked.
I sure hope not. They should continue to add content to Forza 5... Its not that old.
