+Garrett Orfant I love the fact that a woman is doing it because it makes it appear easier to do. The greedy mechanics that work at shops with a ton of overhead want to intimidate you and make you think that the job is hard to do. So when you see a girl do it you know those guys are full of shit.
I'm sure some are female , like the girl in the video, but that's not the point . The point was she made it look easy and the mechanics at a shop with a ton of overhead don't want you to know its as easy as it is.
She didn't show how hard it sometimes is to get those bolts loose. I know that from doing work on a mazda3's motor mounts. OTOH, it's not like watching someone use a breaker bar is interesting, but it should be advised that you will need one, a lot, esp on older vehicles.
Man. Even after you not making videos on this car anymore. I can still count on you for helping me out. Other videos don't really explain what to do with the passenger side, just complain that it's harder. So thank you again and I hope some more of your old videos help me in the future! :)
Great video guys. Is funny, my wife and I done DIY projects like this together. I buy the parts, show her the DIY visits and she goes and knocked out the task with a smile... Plus we saved a few hundred dollars lol!
Ugh I'm trying to knock it out this weekend, that damn passenger side heat shield is a nightmare. Mazda really dropped the ball designing that. P.s. thanks for including torque specs!
I like your videos, they are clear and concise. But I hate seeing you work on a car with exposed feet and heals (putting weight/pressure on the front of your foot). Talking about safety, should not use standard sockets with an impact wrench - they can explode - use impact sockets (they are black).
I certainly hope you don't have an accident - just because you have not experienced a failure to date does not make it right. Standard Milwaukee operating instructions (also found on other brands like SnapOn etc) "Use only sockets and other accessories specifically designed for use on impact wrenches and drivers. Other sockets and accessories might shatter or break causing injury."
Any chance you can post a video on how to adjust these camber arms? There isn't much info on it on youtube which is kinda surprising since these SPC/Eibach arms are so common.
Thanks for the video, this is the Only video in all internet about that , i Was looking for that for two years and nothing i went to the dealer I went with mecanics en no one knew about that, cuz I need that to put it in my mazda cuz my tires are not straight and it eats the tires easy thank you 😘
Would have been nice to see the car on the ground after so we could see the camber in action. I love all your videos! I have a gen1 Mazdaspeed 3 and it's completely stock. Getting ready to put a stage 1 + cobb kit on it. Hopefully when I decide to install it I wont be super lost... these videos really help. Thanks!
am other really well made video! i really enjoy watching all your videos. i never would of thought to put in control arms before lowering the car, thanks for the tip!
Excellent video I have too much camber on a 2012 volvo C30 and I want to instal the same adjustable camber arms. Did you adjust and set the camber angle and if so how did you do that ? Camber gauge?
Hi... Your Channel is very helpful... i know they are a pain and sometimes block vision but wearing some safety glasses when removing bolts etc.. those tiny metal shavings in an eye are no fun..Thanks for sharing your mechanical knowledge :)
It's really great to see a girl working on cars and doing a damn good job. The world needs more of this! Subscribed :) PS. She's really pretty as well, i think we can all consider that a nice bonus to the great vids.
+bleach "It's not rare for a female to work on a car." Yes it is. It meets the definition. This is a comparative subject. It's a Makita lithium ion cordless impact driver model number: LXDT04CW. It's on the pricey side but it's definitely worth the money. It's definitely got a kick but it's not overly powerful which is why we like it. I think maximum torqueing ability is about 120 ft lbs. Thanks for watching!!
After you installed your coilovers did you have to readjust the camber arms to compensate for the drop in ride height? If so about how many degrees? Just curious. Thanks.
Hello Everything DIY, I love all your videos, I have a request. Can you make a video on how to install The front control arms for your car?? I have a 2004 Mazda 3, Mine need to be changed and I would like to do it myself. It would be great to see, hope you come through with the vid ✌🏽️😁. Love you guys
No this is only to adjust camber. To adjust toe you need to rotate a bolt that connects the rear control arm to the subframe. This bolt has a washer with a series on lines on it, it's hard to miss. This bolts needs to be either rotated left or right depending on your specification. Said bolt can be seen in this image near the grey connector: img.photobucket.com/albums/v226/eyesoreracing/Rally%20Mazda3/smallP1000866.jpg There are two of these to adjust both rear tires. This bolt is tightened by a nut so you'll need 2 wrenches to adjust it. If you have any questions let us know. Thanks!!
Good job! I really enjoy your videos, they are well made and you can actually learn a lot. it makes me want to work on my car! Thanks for bringing something new here on RUclips. :-)
hello i have 2008 mazda 3 an my tires a wearing out from the iner tire an my tires are starting to look like this / \ going side ways by me buying the adjustable spc cambers would help them go back to normal?
So I had no trouble putting one arm on the left side of my car then the right side gave me trouble. I had the arms set to stock camber bc I’m also on stock suspension but the right side wouldn’t budge any tips?
i know this is an old video but good work on showing the steps to change out the camber kit. One thing I want to point out is that out of all the videos I've watched of yours is that you were able to stay clean despite working with the suspension. But I finally saw your hands dirty so it is possible for you to get dirt smudged on your hands.
Was wondering, have your stainless steel brake lines improved any breaking feel? Anyways, great video as always, looking forward to the suspension upgrades :)

you have to adjust your camber kit. when you lower your car, it automatically gets a bit of negative camber, you have to make the camber arm longer and there you go :D

Hey, I have a 2005 hatch and instead of a heat cover I have a piece of metal holding something and behind that the refuel tube that goes into the gas tank. The only way to get the piece of metal away its by removing basically the whole rear suspension. Can someone help me?
you should torque bushings such as these with the wheels on the ground. to simulate this you can jack up the wheel as you have done but needs to be actually lifting it off the jack stand. If you do not do this properly the bushings will fail prematurely. never too late to go back and loosen and then re-torque, maybe ask the alignment person to do this when it is on their rack.
You installed that improperly. You need to adjust both nuts so “no” threads are showing and then hold the outer spinner end while you only spin the big nut to adjust the length to match the factory arm. Once it’s in the car then you spin the big nut again to further dial in the camber
Not only that but it changes the torque spec when the bolt/bushing is not preloaded when tightened then loaded. Always tighten preloaded for proper torque spec

I understand some people watch because you are very attractive (also alot of odd foot fetish guys on the web but wont kink shame anyome to each thier own) but please what if a camber arm slipped out of your cand.... boom broke toes. Car comes off jack..... no toes, no foot. Work boots caould actually save your whole foot. Other than that awsome amazing job. Going to check out some other vids on your channel.
+Dat1Nigga ZimDoe It's not a high torque impact drill, it puts out 75 ft lbs at the absolute max. That's nowhere near the forces experienced by an air impact gun, those can exceed 1000 ft lbs with ease. Thanks for watching!
Probably shouldn't have the jack centered on the brake disc while you're refitting the strut column like that. Behind the brake disc where the lower control arm meets the your hub knuckle would be a safer area, an put a rubber seat over the jack cup so you don't ruin your undercoating. Other than that good tutorial!!
Steven Solis SPC. A lot of companies like Acdelco and Moog rebrand SPC camber arms. Try and stick with these higher quality brands as you don't want an important part like this to fail.

Glad you enjoyed our video! That impact wrench only outputs 75 lb ft of torque max, there's no way that would destroy our standard craftsman sockets.

Yes I did, when I was finished installing the coilovers the rear tires measured close to -4 degrees of camber. I adjusted them back to -2.1 degrees.
everythingdiy thank you.
If you install the arms and their length is different than the stock non adjustable arms, do other suspension components need to be loosened?
how long was the socket extension u used with the impact gun? longest I have is 8". I want my job to be easier with a gun lol
So when doing alignment tire has to be removed every time to make adjustments?

+Jarett Fitzwater I have the same exact question
+Jarett Fitzwater if you have a workshop manual for your car it will tell you in there .......
But how do you adjust the camber? You just made the new one the same length as the old one.
Hey,
I'm new to camber and i was wondering :
Camber is the thing that makes the wheels not straight right?
yes
devin schauer thanks!
+Elias Van Loon
if you are serious and don't really know-
there are 3 conditions relative to any wheel.
1 - toe
2- camber
3- caster
toe is very simple - look down at your toes- toe neutral- toe in or toe out.
most vehicles have about 1* of toe in to compensate for the vehicle driving and propelling itself down the road.
camber is the vertical angle of the wheel/tire as viewed from the top or bottom of the tire/ wheel. positive camber is when the tire / wheel is angled in at the bottom/ road contact area. negative camber is when the wheel is angled in at the vertical top.
caster is a differential angle between the upper and lower ball joints or the lower ball joint and top of the strut that effects how the spring/ strut responds to bumps in the road and thus how those bumps effect or are negated by your suspension, shocks, struts and springs.

i like the blue on your mazda.
Why doesn't this girl have her own diy tv show for cars?
Because she doesn't demonstrate proper safety procedures
I need that cordless air gun, what is it where do you buy it???
impact wrench?
I need it in my life
Your know more about cars than most girls and I love your videos
Why are you say thank you when you didn't upload any of these videos?
You should always lift the hub up as if the wheels back on the ground before tightening the bolts otherwise it can twist the new bushes.
Not only that but it changes the torque spec when the bolt/bushing is not preloaded when tightened then loaded. Always tighten preloaded for proper torque spec
How long does this job take?
i cracked up when she just placed the jack stand under the car and not checking where it is

Is she using a chrome socket with an impact driver?
i saw that shit too
+Dat1Nigga ZimDoe It's not a high torque impact drill, it puts out 75 ft lbs at the absolute max. That's nowhere near the forces experienced by an air impact gun, those can exceed 1000 ft lbs with ease. Thanks for watching!
everythingdiy oh for real? Thanks for clarification
When did you cut and unpaint your nails.
Nice you made a Mazda look decent jk nice ride though dropped a like and subscribed
i bet after all these vids this Speed 3 is prolly 20% stock :P
Damn she's cute Af 😍
What brand are these rear camber arms?
Steven Solis SPC. A lot of companies like Acdelco and Moog rebrand SPC camber arms. Try and stick with these higher quality brands as you don't want an important part like this to fail.
Ok thank you. I appreciate it.
Is that a makita impact driver?
Yes it is! We're actually giving one away to a lucky subscriber. There is still a week left to enter, check it out: ruclips.net/video/nb0T7dcsmJ0/видео.html

Hi,
I suggest you put on safety wears on all of your DIY videos. It is a good practice and a must for everyone when working on heavy equipments.
Thanks for the clear demonstration.
Work and drive safe!
