Hi MaCenna! Yoga teacher here. Please be careful and avoid any standing poses on your new mat. Thick mats like that are actually dangerous because they are so squishy they throw you off balance. For seated or floor work you will be ok, but NO standing or balancing poses! 😊

I have two toddlers and I’ve found that an expensive stroller wasn’t necessary for me, no matter the price, it’ll just get scratched up and covered in apple sauce. 😂 but obviously, do what’s best for you. 🥰
I have an older version of the Evenflo pivot xpand, it converts into a double stroller.
😂😂same here ! On baby number 3. We have the mocking bird which isn’t cheap but not too expensive either.. after two under two. It’s trashed😅

That was true for me, too, all those years ago. But my daughter used her expensive stroller a lot and felt like it was money well spent. I think it's just an individual thing.

@@Lucinda_JacksonI agree. I only have one child, and I bought one of the most expensive stroller. We only had one car and my husband worked far away, so he had to take the car. Our stroller worked quite a bit. It had all the bells and whistles and it was worth EVERY PENNY. If I was to have another baby I will go that route again. No regrets!

So many parents of young children want to be on their bedroom in the same level as their children. The alcove you’re turning into a nursery would make a great owner suite and then you’d be on the same level if the baby moved into another one of those bedrooms. Your main floor bedroom would make a great office. Your house has lots of possibilities for adapting to what level you would want to be on.
I think she's already decided on what levels she wants things and how she plans to use her rooms...
We just welcomed our fifth grandchild this last Sunday. Glad to see you getting an early start on the nursery, it may take longer than you think to get it all together and time flies. Enjoy this very special chapter of your lives. Btw, Mommy and Me classes are a great way to meet other mothers.
Prenatal yoga is the best! You get to know other moms currently pregnant and the one I did also carried into bring your baby yoga (after six weeks) so you keep those connections, talk about your experiences. The best!

I just can not get over the SMILE on your face MaCenna when you mention the baby bump or the nursery! I’m a grandma of 6 and my life (even now) revolves around my grandkids! Your mom will be so so happy when this little boy makes his debut! ❤❤❤
After 3 kids, I can happily say that bigger wheels on a pram (eg. Jogger style) makes for a smoother ride/handling. I learned pretty quickly that babies need a whole lot less stuff that most first time parents originally think - but have fun with your planning and shopping, and choose things that you love (and don’t mind getting baby spit-up on!).

1000% recommend the doona stroller. It is worth every penny. And can easily be pushed one handed. I had a c-section and was so thankful for it... even at the house.
So do I, only negative I have to say is that it’s so heavy and it gets heavier as the baby does.

There are great sound baths and meditations here on RUclips. Before I meditate, I write down my "to do" list so I am less distracted. My mind would always spin with thoughts too.

Stroller advice - good all terrain tires, easy fold down/up operation, dark colours (they get filthy), a cup holder, decent sized underneath storage
I love my Mockingbird stroller! I have the convertible one and it's so easy to adjust the seats and fold up the stroller
The poppi fruit flavors are so yum and the ollipop (essentially the same thing) dark soda flavors like cream soda and cola are so good!

As a first time mom I was overwhelmed with the many different kind of stroller there is . I have Orbit Baby and there 360 infant car seat with stroller definitely makes things easier.

I might not get the proportions of the room right, but why not swap the guest bed and the crib, it would feel more like a nursery with a bed in it than a guest room with a crib put as an afterthought, just the fact that it's the first thing you see when entering the room. And maybe you can style the guest bed in the alcove more like a day bed
I understand why she's doing what she's doing, but that's a really good idea, too. That would leave all the open floor space for baby to play on when he's older. I can see what you're envisioning and that's a really nice look, too. I think she'll stay with her plan because it feels like a cozy space up there.

So, a salt lamp is a perfect little light to have in the middle of the night when you’re up with baby. They have the coziest glow, and you can turn it just barely on and see, but not stimulate baby too much. I have one and I LOVE it!!!

Sea bands can be used for your car rides for the nausea, in the Dramamine area but just elastic bands w pressure points, no medication and they WORK!

Baked potato with beans & cheese is an absolute staple in the UK. My go to filling. Definitely try them. Make sure you put butter in first.

So lovely to be able to have a room with space for the baby, I’d recommend staying in the spare room with the baby for a while. I’m sure Grandma won’t mind staying in the beautiful room you’ve just made over as I’m sure she’ll be around to help out. Am loving following the pregnancy with you both, can’t wait for him to get here, it’ll be cuteness overload 👶🏻
I agree with you. There will be a lot less steps when the baby wakes up during those early mornings. I can just imagine McKenna in a rocking chair, feeding her baby while she looks over at Romeo sleeping in their bed. My favorite times when my babies were newborns were the wee hours of the morning when everybody was asleep. Those were the best bonding times of all!
I agree as well. Like what if they have a guest, their guest is sleeping with the baby instead?
MAMAS FOR JOGGERS UNITE!!! I quickly found a stroller useless with my baby. A 3 wheel jogger we bought used on FB Marketplace was our second best purchase. Great on EVERY terrain. 😊

MaCenna I am a long term subscriber from the UK (London) and hearing Romeo talk about baked potato made me smile.
Its very popular to have a baked potato with beans in a tomato sauce (Heinz beans in a can) with melted grated cheese on top....a very quick lunch time meal ....very yummy and tell Romeo he must try it as I think he will like it.
Even if it feels early to get things done- do it!!! The 3rd trimester hit me like a bus lol
A lot of the things I was so excited for I ended up dreading doing because I was so exhausted all the time. I wished I had done more in that 2nd trimester!!!
