In these practicality tests you should consider not only 3 aults, but two children chairs and an adult seated in the center...
    Just an idea.
Great videos Mat. I follow you from Carb... to Carwow.

The whole point of 7 seater is to put kids in the car, with different configurations of safety seats for kids, boosters, two kids in boosters+ one kid on back seat etc. As far as I can see, if I pick 7 seater, that's not because I want to drive 7 adults in the car, i'm not a bloody bus driver after all :) It would be great to find a proper review of the kodiaq, the family car, with its features from point of view of somebody with 3 kids for example :) great channel btw love it ! cheers!

I was looking at this car as I’ve got three dogs, so found the review really helpful. I bought a 3008 last year as was told the boot was the best in the range! What a mistake though the kuga although litres are smaller has a much more comfortable boot for my golden retrievers

    Mat, as usual, great review!
One thing though. Could you in your next videos describe the a/c controls and air vents for the rear seats? With large window cars in warm countries that would add a nice touch to your practicality review. Thanks.

This is why I love carwow more than carbuyer because it's more interesting and goes over much more like the entertainment system and the practicality of the car (something carbuyer doesn't really do)

It is 7 seats only on the SE L or Kodiaq versions. I wish it wasn't, not many people need/want 7 seats. It is heavier (affects CO2), costs more to insure and buy. Come on Skoda!

Why can’t you just get a tape measure out and give us the boot dimensions? A suitcase is not (yet) a recognised SI unit.

Doesn't anyone get flat tires anymore?? Where are all the spare wheels gone?

Manufacturers are too damn cheap. If you have a side puncture on your tire, you're f**ked :)

Both Kodiaq and Superb are pretty premium vehicles. Which one you, in particular, want/need depends on your uses. If you need a lot of space, or want the feel of a greater car, the Kodiaq is the one to go to. If you want a car, which feels kind of like an Audi A5 Sportsback, with nice luxuries and well enough space, buy the Superb. Personally, I prefer larger vehicles, even though the Kodiaq is slightly more expensive, both in terms of initial price, fuel economy and various fees (weight, CO2 emissions, all that stuff).
These are, however, not budget cars despite being Skoda. Yes, they're cheaper than luxury brands such as Audi, Mercedes, or even Seat and VW, while still offering decent performance, whether you want a luxurious car, a practical car, or a car that's purely a joy to drive. They both deliver. Personally, I'm pretty impressed with Skoda. My current vehicle is a Skoda Fabia - not as expensive as the Superb or Kodiaq, but still quite spacious, practical and actually not too bad on the road. Handles better than a lot of cars I've driven, even more expensive ones. At times I dream of some more "POW!" from the engine, but this one is fine for the time being. I wouldn't think you'd be short on the subject of "POW!" with either the Kodiaq or the Superb - they're lovely vehicles. For the most part, Skoda really seems to put a lot of effort into their cars - and they're powered by VW, which only makes it better. Engines work like a charm.
To summerize: buy either, depending on which you like better. They're both very nice cars, just in different classes, at different prices, and are both quite the bargain at that. I wouldn't cry if I had either. :-) I'd recommend you to give them both a testdrive, down at your local Skoda dealership. That might help you make a decision. ;-)
Have fun with whatever you choose to do!
