- The monsters of Dragon’s Dogma are awesome and fun to fight, no doubt about it, but who are they really, and where do they come from? Today, we’ll be diving into the lore of Gransys to find out more about these monsters and their dark origins…
Hopefully we can learn more about the old gods in the next game and I would love to see a new race introduced in the next game . 🎮

As for the chimeras during the mission before the final battle with grigori you fight a chimera inside the castle and one of the guards says "salvation is mad for conjuring up such beast's"
It's possible salvation made chimeras long ago back when they first formed
Oh! So it’s either created or conjured from another plain, maybe even the Rift like harpies and gargoyles. Very interesting!
@@lordoflore9761 it might be more through alchemy or magic where they're fused into an abomination, alchemy is a class in dragon's dogma online to, so could be related to that maybe?
It makes me wonder if conjurations a thing in dragon's dogma though or even summoning is, maybe only by arisens or extremely powerful magic wielders of some sort since conjuration and maybe even summoning would probably be connected to the rift and usually very powerful beings can access the rift such as the arisen, great dragons, the seneschal and beings such as daimon

I have a lot of theories on monsters that I feel is backed up reliably, but one that can be confirmed is that golems are the creations of sorcerers. They lay dormant until they're triggered and then go on a rampage.
This is a great clue as to why there are so many golems around the Witchwood. Sofia and Selene are (or were) a Sorcerer/Mage duo. Sofia created those.
Likewise it's possible that Salomet made the one on the way to Bluemoon Tower to keep people looking for him away from his hideout.
Wow! I knew the golems were obviously made by sorcerers, especially in the Witchwood, but I never thought about Salome making the one on the way to the tower!
Originally elves were going to live in the witch woods, so the original and possibly still current idea was that they created them, or something ancient did
I hate the fact that we keep hearing about Gransys Frontier lands but never got to explore it.. Personally would've taken that as a DLC than BBI. BBI is good don't get me wrong but i wanna see other monsters in the world.
I remember being obsessed with finding a way to pass the giant gate that seperates Gransys from the frontier and imagining what kind of monsters could be lurking there.
Here i thought the second game could do it justice by putting the frontier lands in the game, nope. Just a newer and bigger map that has no connection to the Gransys Frontier at all.
@@3456halo Technically we did get to see more of what could be out there like the medusa, the sphinx and the minotaur, although we are still in a relatively tame and civilised region so my curiosity to see a completely untamed world crawling with strange and unique beasts is still somewhat there.

Hm! While my next video will likely relate to Amalur, this does give me a great idea for the next Dragon’s Dogma video. The extra characters, especially the nations from which they originate, would make for great discussion. Thanks and God bless!
@@lordoflore9761 thanks i also have a interesting question on the dragon and arisen one if we defeat gigori and lose to seneschal do we become the dragon clone like the ack sack same design or do we have our own unique look because if I remember correctly when we play as savan he fought a dragon that look like exactly like gigori but I don't know if thats him? second I know arisen are immortal but what kind of immortal is just by ageing or is it like dark souls and that no how many times you are deafated you can't truly die?
