Have you figured out how to apply to past projects ? When I save this setup it saves as an xpj, so when I load up an old beat up then this xpj it wipes out the best I’m tryin to add it to … any suggestions????
@@akaixl83that would be . looking for a way to export/import submix mapping. Do you know a way to map fx across all 16 knobs on the X?
@@LeoColtrane I’ve just tried it on the live ii not my x , I’d assume it’d be the same setup , so now if I want these effects I preload them before making a beat
thats a huge gamechanger holy shit
You can also map an external midi controller with a lot more knobs like the Faderfox PC 12 (72 assignable knobs) and go buck wild 👍

I heard that one reason for having an actual SP-404 in the master is that it might save you when your MPC or Force crashes. ;)

These MPC Live 2 videos have really shown me things i knew nothing about. look forward to trying this out.
Off topic, but people sleep on the insert effects in the MPC in general. If they say the reverbs and delays suck- then they haven't stepped foot in any major studios...because the one's inside the MPC (AIR) are the EXACT same one's inside of Pro Tools...which 99% of all major records are mixed with since forever! No cap.

Ok this tutorial literally makes lice shows more smooth since I record all my vocals inside the mpc was already using the subs but now with the q links takes the sound to the next level super super fresh

I would love a tutorial on how to record the effects into the track.
It should work if you turn on 'write automation' and record the changes. I'm quite new to this so it may be more involved than that though

I usually create everything on one track and add this all in different sections of the track with automation that way it affects both the drums and the melody.
Your way is much faster however I don’t see how you would record the effects in precisely where you’d want them to be.
May you can add silent notes on the grid to prevent you when to apply

So if I record this in a sequence but I only want it on just one sequence do I first make a copy of the sequence and with that copy do I also duplicate the program too?
How do I save as a template? Actually you can make a template and charge us $1 for the load file

This is really cool! I saved this FX rack, so I don't have to do all that setup every time I want to use it. Just one question: why is everything on a submix, instead of just putting the FX on the main output?

@@Hoodie_Tello202 If you look at the top of the screen for the rack (where you can select insert FX 1-4), just to the left of the All On/Off button, there's a Save icon. Going from right to left, there's All On/Off, Save, Load, and I don't know what the last one (furthest left) is.

If you had to do it every time yeah. But just like in a DAW, it would be best to save this as a template for future use

You can save FX racks, which cuts down the menu diving by a lot.

@@ABSTRACT_MUSIC one thing id really be interested in finding a way to do would be inputting live voice then pitch shifting it while you play or record. I know the recording process can be a little multilayered with the mpc. Im still getting the ropes down.
Do you have any Idea how to record automation with this method? I tried to record automation using this method and it doesn't work. Any help/suggestions?
There's a little icon in the upper right corner, with the letter R on it. If you tap it, the R will turn into a W. R stands for "read" and W stands for "write". If you want to record automation, set it to W, then back to R when you're done.
@@SynthApprentice When I tried it didn't record automation on these effects and q-links while doing this method from the video. Meanwhile I updated my MPC and I will try again, thanks.

How you record record the submix?
Unfortunately you can't record the submix. But I know of a way to record these effects on your entire beat, if you convert your beat into a sequence and then automate these effects on the program. I can make a video on this if you're interested

MPC reverb and delay effects just aren’t as good the SP’s. You can do it all on the MPC but it won’t sound as good. I am a MPC owner and don’t have a SP but know it is better in effects.

What is the difference between this model and the Mpc one?
This model has an internal battery and speaker. Also More INS and OUTS. This model is more expensive as well.
