I once asked an attorney who’s a good friend of mine why DNA evidence can send a murderer to prison almost overnight, but when DNA evidence can prove someone’s innocence the system slows down to a crawl. He told me it was simply because the state, having assumed the role of the dead victim, doesn’t want “egg on it’s face”. Arkansas does not want to be held accountable for the mistakes that were made in 1993. They are putting on quite a show, and telling a lot of lies, as a result.

They had the chance in 2011when all of those 10’s of millions of dollars that were raised for their defense were flying around to re-examine all of the evidence, including DNA. Don’t you think that they would have done that THEN and produced some exonerating evidence if it indeed existed??? Yeah, but there was none. Damien is a media whore, and gets in front of every camera that will let him spew his bs to people that will eat it up and see him as a victim. The victims were 3 8 year olds that he and those other 2 pieces of trash murdered, and defiled on the ditch bank in Robin Hood Hills. Look up his psych records man. It’s called P 500 or Exhibit 500. Echols was witnessed and ID'd by an entire family leaving the area of the crime scene, the night of the crime, covered in mud. He went around bragging about killing them to the local kids and teens. Misskelley confessed they did the deed on 5 separate occasions. None of them had a truthful alibi for the night. They failed the polygraph tests. Echols killed animals both for rituals and for his personal entertainment. He consumed blood of other humans and believed it gave him power. But you really want to ignore all that and try to pin it on one of the parents?

and God still tried everything he can to kill me but he can't. Death can't stop me. I would be only the third person in history to raise from the dead. Lazarus, Jesus Christ and Damien. I will prove it very soon. Afterwards, I will come to power and nothing will stop me....Look people, now it's time to pay up. I am the judge." Later..."Halloween gets closer every day. I am outgrowing my skin. My hands and feet are changing.I am the Christ. Realize what's happening before it's to late. '94 is close....The war will start in '94-the world ends in '96. No more.
Everyone will pay because everyone is too stupid to open their eyes. This is the final times and I am the new Messiah. Wake up and smell the crud faggets. I don't care whether you're saved or not. Everyone pays the price."
11)His friend L.G. Hollingsworth, who told police that Damien had told him "I'm thinking of killing someone." 13) Jason Frazier tells police Damien and Jason "always have the devil-worshipping meetings in those woods."

    18) A classmate of Echols, Roni Hendrix stated "He just scares me talking about him". Several acquaintances ofEchols from school said Echols told them "I am a Devil Worshipper."
    19) Roxanne Harrison, mother of one of Echols' former friends, told police Echols was in her house once and told her "I am a Devil Worshipper." Her daughter Jennifer stated that Echols had been writing many Satanic poems of Devil Worhip. "I was completely afraid of him."
    20) Pam Hollingsworth, who knew Echols' family quite well, told police Echols told her "The Devil has chosen me. He tells me what to do and I do it."
    21) Jason Crosby, one of Echols' and Misskelley's former friends, told his H.S. principal, John Heath, that he had overheard Misskelley and Echols esay they wanted to catch a bum at one of the overpasses and "torch him to death."
Authorities had learned back in March that Echols had wanted to sacrifice a baby...he wanted to impregnate Domini and and sacrifice their offspring."
    23) A classmate of Echols, Roni Hendrix stated "He just scares me talking about him". Several tacquaintances ofEchols from school said Echols told them "I am a Devil Worshipper." and desired more and more control within the Cult. However, he answered to an older male in his 30's.
    24) Damien had "E-V-I-L" tattooed on the fingers of one hand, carved into his skin with a razor blade.
    25) Echols told Detectives on May 10th that the murders were a "thrill kill" and the Killer(s) wanted more power from killing such young children. Stated the Killer probably "felt good doing it" and that he probably thinks "it's funny and doesn't care if he gets caught." Echols
volunteered that "the boys were not that big and easy to control" that “the killer was local and knew the kids went there." Also said the Killer "probably wanted
    to hear the screaming
    26) Volunteered one of the boys was more mutilated than the other. Talked of the water being a demonic type symbolism for a sacrifice and the bodies being submerged gave more power to the Killer.
    27) Failed his polygraph.
    28) Told police "I'll tell you everything" after hearing the results of his polygraph but that he wanted to talk to mom first. After this, he completely goes quiet and lawyers up.
    29. Detectives soon determine that Damien’s alibi completely is fabricated and falls apart.
    30. Jessie confessed against the advice of his attorney because “I want something done about it”. States he purposefully made up several details in his first confession because “I was scared” and says “No one ever asked me to put my hand on a Bible before”
    31. Jessie stats’s that Damien and Jason are “sick and need to be put away.”
    32. Jessie states at his 5th confession, after conviction, “The truth is that me, Damien and Jason done it.”

    Questions you should've asked Damien:
    1) Why did you provide a false alibi that was proven wrong by relatives in court, and now have since switched to another alibi that has also been disproven?
    2) Why do you cling to the 'satanic panic' myth when it was YOU yourself who first brought up devil worship to the police, and YOU yourself who told the police the killings were ritualistic in your first police interview?
    3) How do you explain the fact that Jessie Misskelley Jr. knew that one boy had had his genitals cut off and one had been slashed in the face when it was 100% not public knowledge at the time? And, how did he also give the exact location of the killings in the woods without having knowledge of that either? And why did you tell the police in your first interview that one boy had been mutilated more than the other two when it was absolutely not public knowledge (the newspaper actually had published the opposite of that)? Then, in court, when presented with what had been printed in the newspapers at the time of your interview, you could not find it and basically admitted to have lied.
    4) Why did Jason's cousin volunteer to do an interview with the police of his own volition in which he described you brutally killing a sick great dane near Domini and Jason's trailers, ripping its intestines out, and then told him you were going to boil its head to get its skull? He also said he'd seen both cat and dog skulls in your room, and at least one person testified you wore a necklace that was a cat's skull (I believe you admitted that yourself, too). Why did another neighbor of yours volunteer to tell the police that you enjoyed torturing frogs and watching them die?

For a while I thought he was innocent but honestly I'm not too sure anymore. Damien is a very sketchy guy to say the least and even more so when he was a teen. Satanic Panic was a real thing back in the 80's and 90's but it was mostly an overreaction from the christian churches. With Damien he is a practicing Satanist to this day but he probably looks at the religion differently now that he's an adult compared to the way he viewed it as a teenager in the 90's when information on satanism was not readily available which resulted in people making up their own ways to practice the religion. One thing that has been tied to satanism for a long time is human sacrificing and maybe most believers in that religion will just say that sacrificing is just a myth and isn't real, but the truth is people have done this type of stuff in the name of Satan. Impressionable and undereducated teens who fall head first into satanism at a time where human sacrificing is strongly linked to satanism could actually take it seriously and decide to commit murder thinking it will somehow make them closer to their Lord of Darkness. It seems far fetched on the surface but when you dig deep into the type of person Damien was and still is, it is definitely not out of the realm of possibility that he could convince his buddies to help him commit this murder. After all he did convince rock stars and A-List celebrities that he is not a murderer while sitting on death row so you never know.

Probably because he was used to say he was a vampire and on a few occasions, when some of his peers got hurt, he sucked the blood from their wounds (who wouldn't...do it), perhaps also because he tried to gouge out an eye with his long and pointed fingernails to another of his peers (again, who wouldn't...do it), or perhaps because he stomped a sick dog to death just for fun (what a...hero....) or because he was going around saying that he had to kill little boys to "empower" himself...even that he would have "sacrificed" his own child once he was born....really a good and "normal" guy!

Echols retells the story of his original interview with detective Sudbury and Probation Officer Jones on May 7th, 1993 to John Douglas. In that crucial interview, Echols told them that the bodies of the children were thrown in water to wash out any urine the children might have ingested. This evidence of urine was discovered by the medical investigator two weeks after the deaths after the receipt of autopsy results. Only someone at the scene of the crime would have known about the urine. But in Law & Disorder, Echols tells Douglas that it was Jones who brought up the subject:
Well, what do you think if maybe somebody urinated in the mouths and they pushed the bodies into the water to wash the urine out of them? You think maybe that’s a possibility?
Damien recollected that he was surprised by the conversation: “Okay, I’m thinking that’s some freaky stuff that you would even think to ask me that, but Okay.”
“The next thing I know, we get to trial…he told us they were pushed in the water to wash the urine out of them.”
What Echols expects Douglas (and the readers of the book) to believe is that two days after the murders, Investigator Sudbury and Probation Officer Jones (who were not present during the crime) would posit a question about the urine (which they could know nothing about) into the discussion with Echols. The police records indicate otherwise, as the information about the urine was written down by Sudbury, along with other disturbing admissions about Echols’s peculiar occult beliefs. That Douglas would repeat this statement by Echols without criticism is astonishing.

The WM3 are guilty beyond belief. There is a more neutral source, Callahan, that has a lot of info about this case. From the guilt side there is a blog thewm3revelations, also Gary Meece, he wrote books and has a podcast. Criminal profiler Pat Brown has a video about this. "Based In Fact" had episodes on this, it's a podcast, available on youtube. BurnAfterReading has quite a few videos about this case that go into more detail about the case. William Ramsey goes more into the occult themes but I haven't seen his work much, only a couple of interviews on youtube but he also knows a lot about the case. Anyway, if you look into different sources, on both guilt and innocence sides, it becomes quite clear that they should not have been let out of prison under the Alford plea. Now many people want to see "the real killer" caught, there is also a part of this community that are fanatical WM3 supporters and also the innocence scammers profiting off this case, both push their own agenda.
