      Yes probably tons that were never fortunate to have someone filming and documenting it. These guys had an guardian angel when paradise lost was made.
      Makes me terrified to think of how many more this is happening to. The sad part is that I think it is more a rule than an exception that law enforcement is tampering with the evidence and facts, to do things that will serve them better. Just watch Al Pacino movie, based on true story, Serpico...

      Eli, there are all kinds of docs about falsely accused people and mostly men.
      I saw one where a guy did 30 years for raping a "woman."
      When they tested the sperm for dna 30 years later, they found 5 different men's sperm in her. She was a whore. She never even got raped.
      A good doc to watch is "An Unreal Dream."

    I now believe Terry Hobbs did it. Immediate family members are ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS the prime suspects & yet Hobbs wasn't even interrogated by the WM police until 14 years after the crime. I have yet to discover why Hobbs was protected by the WM police other than the rumours that he was some sort of drug informant. The connection between Hobbs & the WM police is the key to solving this case.

      Hobbs was a CI for the WMPD and they knew his whereabouts the evening of the murders. To think Hobbs did this crime requires the full suspension of critical thinking. Hobbs doesn't have the wherewithal to pull off a triple murder much less keep it a secret. Echols have motive, ability and opportunity. Are you forget Echols' 500 page medical dossier in which he admits to being homicidal?

Guilty or not, I just wanted to form a solid opinion NOT based solely on the films, and encourage all other WM3 supporters to dig as deep as they can. However, the movies are really good, and provide a great starting point for people who don't know the case. In all of my research,I've never heard ONE PIECE of murder evidence against the West Memphis 3. And you are totally right about how the police are to blame for botching the case and denying justice to the victims, their families, and the wrongfully convicted WM3, by circling the career wagons and lying to protect the "integrity" of every elected official and/or lawyer climbing the career ladder. This whole case is horrific! The children who were murdered and their families suffered so much and these boys who were children themselves were railroaded by the state. They and their families have suffered the same injustice. In essence the killer took the lives of more than the three little boys. There needs to be laws protecting defendants from crooked police, lawyers, judges, and jurors. Anyone who knowingly has a hand in convicting a person of a crime should be prosecuted themselves. I don't understand how these boys could have been convicted on the "evidence" presented at the trials (there was no physical or even circumstantial evidence produced at either trial), but no one has even been charged with the more compelling DNA evidence that was uncovered after the convictions. Even though they've identified the two other people whose DNA was found at the crime scene and on at least one of the victims. The state of Arkansas needs to put on their "big boy pants" and right this wrong, there are consequences to their actions and they need to pardon these men and pay up, this is the least they can do! Sadly, this is probably not the first time this has happened and judging by the way this case has been handled, unfortunately, it probably won't be the last........

      You're right, it is absolutely horrendous, the authorities should've done their job rather than pin it on the easiest suspect. What I find just as bad are the people that open their big uneducated mouths saying Damien, Jason, and Jessie did it. Exactly what they need to do is find the Bojangles' man, I am thinking he was a homeless man living in the woods and either witnessed, or committed the crime. However, this man is long gone and the cops blew it big time. They don't even know what he looks like, isn't that just horrible? I am positive either Stevens, Michael's or Christopher's father did it- maybe even all three of the sick bastards were in on it. Unfortunately, the authorities didn't care who did it- they were being pressured by the state to find the murderers and get the case off of their desks. I am happy that the boys got out of prison, but I am unhappy they can't sue the state because of that damn Alford Plea. As of August 19th, it will mark them being out of prison for three years. Yes, that is three years of freedom, but it's also three years of not being exonerated- another three years the state has gone without doing their job, and another three years the real murderers have walked freely. I just want this case to be solved in the worst way, it's not fair to Damien, Jason, or Jessie.

    • @Matthew24JesusWarns
      @Matthew24JesusWarns 10 лет назад +3

      I totally agree with you, it's amazing the boys were arrested and convicted with no evidence at all, they never found anything that linked any of the teenagers to that crime. However, they have DNA from Hobbs and his friend found at the crime scene and that's not enough for an arrest? It's crazy! Hobbs' DNA was found to be a hair in the center of a knot made to hog tie his step son and his friend's DNA was found on a tree next to one of the boys' bodies. My guess, it was one (or both) of them who left the blood all over Bojangles. It really just makes me sick the "powers that be" in that community have chosen to allow the REAL killer(s) of 3 innocent children to get away with murder. Last time I checked DNA was considered solid evidence. Shame on all of those who had a hand in sending these boys to prison and shame on those who have played any part in keeping them in prison over the years. The Governor can pardon them and give them their lives back, but shame on him if he doesn't right this wrong. It's so wrong this could happen to anyone in our country, but what makes it worse is those who have the power to fix it, have chosen to do nothing.

    • @lindawatts3194
      @lindawatts3194 10 лет назад +5

      Stacy L Hobbs hair wasn't found inside a ligature. Surely you aren't that stupid. It could have been the DNA of any one of over millions of people. Six confessions and you can't find a reason for guilt?

    • @Matthew24JesusWarns
      @Matthew24JesusWarns 10 лет назад +1

      No Linda I'm not stupid. The DNA evidence I'm referring to belonged to the step father of one of the murdered boys, and that hair was found intertwined in the ligature used to tie up another victim, and the other DNA evidence found at the crime scene was from Hobb's alibi. Hmmm, I find it interesting people with your mindset can excuse DNA evidence left at the crime scene and on a victim, but you're willing to condemn the WM3 with no physical evidence linking any of them to the crime scene or the victims? Nothing from not even one boy, 3 teenage boys left nothing? Just to clear something up for you, DNA is exclusive to only one person, example, you are the only person with your DNA profile. Also, did you ever ask yourself why Jessie made "6 confessions"? Let me enlighten you, Jessie is boarder line mentally challenged, his IQ was between 65-70, his first statement didn't fit the scenario the police had determined and he was interrogated and fed information until he gave them what they wanted, he was interrogated without his parents (yes, he was a minor), no legal council, and oddly enough, of all the hours and hours of police interrogation only the "confession" the police wanted was taped. There are several reasons why the Supreme Court granted a new trial. Why don't you read their decision and maybe you can really understand the injustice brought upon the WM3. It's obvious your opinion is based on how you feel about who the WM3 were and not the facts in the case and that's unfortunate, judgmental, and frankly, wrong. I've spent many hours researching this case so I could make an intelligent and informed decision based on the facts and I know, based on the facts of the case, the WM3 should never have been tried, not to mention convicted. Speaking of the conviction, how can you condone juror misconduct? If you've done your homework and know anything about this case, you would know, the jury convicted these boys on "evidence" that was never presented during trial and that's indisputable, the notes are in the jury foreman's own handwriting. I can only ask, before you start to insult the intelligence of another, you first gather all of the information on a subject, set aside your personal feelings, take in all the facts so you have the ability to make an informed decision about how you arrived at your opinion. Our judicial system is supposed to be based on fact, not whether you like the defendant(s), lady justice is blindfolded for a reason.

      Stacy L Stacy, you seemingly have a decent command of English, but your lack of new paragraphs and punctuation is wanting. That being said, I don't have the time nor inclination to tread ground that has been covered time and time again, but I'll digress momentarily.
      Hobbs DNA was not found at the crime scene. DNA consistent with Hobbs was found on a shoelace and representative of 1.5% of the population; that's millions of candidates notwithstanding variability. My guess was it was secondary transfer.
      If you've ever been on a jury and clearly, you haven't, you would know that courts allow (and convict with) circumstantial evidence alone. While circumstantial doesn't indicate direct culpability, it by definition infers such. Echols lies, lack of credible alibi, medical history, failing polygraphs, court demeanor all indicate guilt. Moreover, he can be placed near the scene and couple that with the Misskelly confessions (disallowed) converts guilt. Were there hick-ups in the trial? You bet. Could there have been cause for mistrial? You bet, again. But a second trail would have dealt the same correct blow; guilty.
      I grew up in WM and knew many of the players. I've read jivepuppi, wm3truth, callahan8k and yes, have seen the propaganda of Paradise Lost. My professional background is in chemistry and I understand DNA and forensics better than most lay people. I have no doubt as to their guilt and I dismissed you as a serious doubter when you mentioned Misskelley's IQ. The man has a college degree!
      Echols could have taken it to trial but he instigated and copped the Alford Plea. As I've stated before, I would have easily convicted Echols and Baldwin alone on circumstantial evidence although I know things about this case many people are not aware. I'll say one thing for Jessie, he has a soul and as far as I'm concerned, an absolved soul.
      Lastly, even though justice was served temporarily for 18 years, this case stopped being about justice many years ago. It's about money; Hollywood money. The money that thinks it's doing good when in fact, it's in bed with evil. Even Depp has left Echols side after seeing the lies spewed on Piers Morgan.

He swears he stayed home the entire evening -- but a friend who called at 8:00 was told Damien was not at home.

      wm3 were found guilty so there was no need but this is for the public to finally know and the public is the one who has to make up their mind on the results and the evidence of a cover-up. there was blood evidence and fiber evidence. the prosecution couldn't bring that up but was warned by the judge if they kept saying there wasn't any blood evidence he was going to allow luminol results into evidence. it showed blood all over the banks.
      with OJ well of course when you have a Prejudice jury considering the evidence of blood testing you can run into problems but any sane individual has to honor that type of test after debunking a conspiracy theory that would have the entire police department guilty of obstruction.

    Hobbs DNA was at the crime scene because there was a hair in some of the rope. That rope was taken by the boys from the house. How does one old man assault, rape and kill 3 energetic boys a at THE SAME TIME?. HOBBS had an Alibi that checked out. These 3 murderers had NO ALIBI How was Echols able to give accurate details about the murder scene if he wasnt there? He said he read it in the paper, but the information was not released for another 3 days. He was caught lying on the stand over 20 times. WTF? This is bullshit. He wasnt a suspect because of the way he dressed. He was a suspect because he went and told 2 people he just killed some kids!! That was a fact of the case.

    • @maggiecarpenter1299

      JusticeForTheSilenced First of all Echols is accused and found guilty for one simple reason. Hobbs most certainly had an alibi. To think Hobbs was capable of pulling off a triple homicide requires the complete suspension of critical thinking. The man couldn't tie one knot let alone three separate knots. John Douglas is nothing more than a gun for hire, it you think differently, then you probably think J Edgar Hoover and Clyde Tolsen weren't gay. And it was Pam Hobbs who said Terry may have done it. This is the same Pam Hobbs that would sell her mother's soul for $100 worth of dope. The Bayou was filled with dispersants (soap) from the nearby Blue Beacon Truck wash which helped remove what little blood there was. You see, 50lb kids only have about 1-2 pints of blood to spill before the circulatory system fails; there wasn't that much blood as -l u m i n o l- tests What else you got?

This small town didn't want to face the fact that there was a cold hearted murderer(s) they instead proceeded to point the finger, with no true evidence, towards these three teenagers who were going through a phase, just like most teenagers do, and stood out in the crowd. They painted this picture of them incriminating them by saying they were Satanist when they were nothing close to that. This was a horrible le trial not only did six families go through hell but these three little innocent boys who were murdered are not at peace their true killer(s) are yet to be found and these families have no true answers as to what truly happened.

      You're completely wrong and you've bought, hook, line and sinker, all the LIES told in "their" biased movies and documentaries.
      Those 3 ARE really the ones who tortured in an horrific way (while they were still alive) and killed those poor 3 little boys. I know in detail what has been done to them....it's difficult to believe that there are human beings who can do such things to others, in particular, to children.
      It's not true there was no evidence against them, there was a lot .....but if you listen to them themselves and their supporters only you will believe that bs about 3 poor teenagers fingered by the police just because they wore black and listened to heavy metal music.....really a big BS!
      Learn about the true facts on the "west of memphis three facts - home" site.

    It is really odd. Fogelman, Burnett and Gitchell was so afraid that who they thought was quilty would get away with it. So they did any thing they could to punish them. Fogelman, Burnett and Gitchell are guilty of torturing three innocent boys, Damien, Jason, and Jessie. They did it for 18 years and got away with it.

    It's easy not to carry hatred and resentment when you are actually guilty and manage to bust out of prison on a lie.
    They know they're lucky they didn't executed years ago.

    Lorri Davis wants to know WHO committed those murders.....well, no need to go that far, one of them is sitting right next to you Lorri....you have married one of those "WHO committed the murders"!!!!

      @WM Three Facts I think you're right! Personally, being Italian, I knew nothing about this case, I just stumbled across a video which spoke about it....and since I hate those hypocritical "pro-innocence campaigns" that have become fashionable in my country in the last two decades too, and that aim to take out of prison "ascertained murderers" (150% guilty) lying to the uninformed public opinion, I wanted to see if those three were freed thanks to, indeed, a deceitful campaign or not, and I discovered that it went exactly like I thought!
      Well, I discovered also that the "campaign" in favor to those three teenagers has been the forerunner for all the other that have followed, both in the US and in Italy (a bit everywhere) and that had been all created along the lines of this one (documentaries, websites, books and so on).
      Sincerely, before to learn about this case and all what happened around it, I though that the very first "guilty wrongly convicted one" who got away thanks to a media "innocent campaign" was Amanda Knox, but she's not, these three have been the REAL first ones!
      Yes, I don't believe either that Lorri Davis truly believe that his beloved husband (goood, you must be really desperate to marry a child-torturer who's on the death row) is a poor innocent wrongly convicted. If it's true what she said, i.e. that she learned about this case watching the "Lost paradise" first documentary which would have aroused in her so much interest in the case (or, more likely an interest of other nature in the creepy appeal of one of the main "actors"), I strongly doubt that she didn't get some more information reading the official documents (the prosecutor point of view) too.....and sorry, each one who owns a brain (and she seems being a clever one) going through the (true) facts and details, can't come to any other conclusion if not that they are guilty as hell!
      Then she PRETENDS to believe in his husband innocence....but do you know what's the worst part of these hypocritical "innocence campaigns"? That to make people believe that their "protected" are innocent, they maliciously point the finger at REAL INNOCENT ONES!!!
      (and not caring at all about the pain they can cause to the people they chose as "substitutes")
      And the gullible ones who watch those lying documentaries are even not able to realize that those people want them to believe that their protected murderers would have been blamed and even convicted nonetheless there was no evidence pointing to their guilt (which is untrue).....making them blindly believe that some others, against whom there's even less evidence...if not NONE at all, would be the real GUILTY ones!!!! ...... What a hypocrisy!

      @WM Three Facts Thanks for the links!
      Unfortunately I didn't watch the three Paradise Lost movies, just the West of Memphis documentary, but I don't think a minute the film makers unwillingly created such extremely biased movies based on their truly personal thoughts.....in my opinion, they didn't act in good faith: they omitted too many incriminating facts, they twisted some others, and put a great emphasis just on the fact that the prosecutor would have focused on those three JUST BECAUSE of their dress style and because they would be "poor and outcast".
      They've also spoken about the "satanic" issue as it was just an obsession that the prosecutor had: in reality, at least Damien Echols, was really a KNOWN devil worshipper and being he a paranoid schizophrenic (diagnosed) the risk that he didn't limit himself just on playing "the satanist" (like the most of them) but that he could be able to put ...into practice some "rituals" was very high, and in fact, he DID IT! He needed to be locked into a mental hospital.....
      I have also the "suspect" (a strong one) that lots of people have been PAID by them (by film makers and WM3 supporters) for LYING:
      - you see in the documentary a young man, a Carson if I recall right, who's the one who testified in court that Jason Baldwin told him that "he cut Byer's genitals" ......telling now that "he doesn't know WHY he told those things" (how could he not know.....WHY???), well, he didn't tell that "he lied" either...probably fearing to be accused having "committed perjury", which at least in my country is very serious and you risk to be put in jail, I don't know what happens in the US though
      - you see a young girl who claims (after all those years.....better later than never 😉) having seen, that day, Terry Hobbs with the three children at about 6.30 pm in Hobb's garden......but sorry, as far as I know there's another woman who testified (in 1993 and....pro bono!) that she saw the three boys passing through her garden at about the same time, and she lived near the Robin Hood Hills, they could not be in two different places at the same time....one of the two is lying, who knows which one....
      - you see even a pathologist, a Dr. Di Maio, telling that the injuries on the poor boys' bodies would have been inflicted "post-mortem" (to make people believe that the kids weren't tortured by those inhuman monsters, but that some turtles passing by caused those wounds when they were already dead underwater)
      Well, I saw the autopsy pictures too, those injuries were not at all inflicted "post-mortem".....unfortunately, I'd have preferred they would....but they were not! HE'S A LIAR!
      Anyway, I find this one of the most cruel crime of all times (in particular....having been done to little children), it's unforgivable!!!! At least they had admitted having done it, it could be possible to take into account the fact that one was mentally ill and the other two very young, influenceable ones......but since, except for Misskelley that seems to be the only one feeling remorse for what he did, they didn't confess, on the contrary, they have even the guts to try to accuse someone else KNOWING that they're the ones who did it, which is one of the worst thing that human beings can do to other human beings (after what they did to those kids) THEY DON'T DESERVE TO BE FORGIVEN.....and since they love the Devil that much, I wish them to go to.....HELL and meet him!
