Really interesting. His story is very distinct. This man went through the types of deprivation at a very early age in life. It made it much easier for him to aspire to find out what was beyond flesh. And he found it. What he and others are telling people, is that you don't have to find it; you just have to realize it. Consciousness. We don't have to find it. We have to realize it. There's a big difference between the two.

Damien's roundabout way of returning to ceremonial magic after exploring techniques of the far East reminds me of Jung's path too. Jung came to the conclusion that, ultimately, the Western mind is fitted for the Western path - which has it's roots in the Near and Middle East. My foray into Eastern techniques was useful inasmuch as it let me know what will not work for me.

Many people did more than “watch all the docs” and decide they were innocent.
If you did not experience the Satanic Panic you will not understand that period in time.
5 of my friends, including my first love, were demonized as Satanists in 1991/high school and kicked out to “save other students”.
      Why?
Because they listened to metal and punk and sometimes wore black concert t-shirts.
If you were a different boy in any way you were a target.
I’m around the same age as Damien. Teens in the 80s were targeted but it overall it was a bit more tame. By the time you got into the 90s some people wanted to squash and seriously punish.any sense of teen rebellion.
I live in the south. I heard about their case as soon as it happened. I followed from the start and nothing about it sat right.
The fact that kids are most often the victims of crimes at the hands of someone they know well was completely ignored in order to blame monsters/demons/satanists that were kids themselves.
DNA evidence has repeatedly only been found on the step fathers of the boys. Many still want to ignore it, and they have allowed the actual murderer(s) to walk for decades.
I have been studying the Satanic Panic almost my entire life, particularly the pseudoscientific repressed/recovered memory psychotherapy craze that started and drove it.
(Note: Politically I have always been on the left and I have hyper focused on left wing involvement in the panic. There was a lot more than most think. The recovered memory movement was a significant left wing/new age event. I differ from Damien here because new age beliefs also resulted in incredible harm and I am just as leery but I note the difference in someone getting by and someone going over the edge.)
RM pseudoscience, new age woo and SRA conspiracies that had both religious fundamentalism and a pseudo postmodernist “post truth” vein, resulted in countless training seminars. It came with radical feminist demands to “believe the victim” that actually involved believing the most absurd and humanly impossible accusation in the room.
      Case in point…
The boys bodies were in water/in the woods/in the elements for hours before they were found. The fact that no one considered this shows how far gone investigators were due to these horrible and conspiratorial training seminars.
They decided 3 teenage boys had a special satanic ritual tool made that left a specific set of scratches on the bodies, as opposed to thinking about marks left by wildlife in the area. Turtles left the marks. Not a satanic scratching tool.
This was pervasive during the Satanic Panic. Physical evidence did not exist - never matched the claims in 99.9% of cases.
Reality was not welcome. If you are continuing to deny it in spite of DNA evidence in this case; and repeatedly ignored requests to do more DNA testing, it’s your own idiotic fault.

5/7/92. E. Arkansas Mental Health Center: Client admits to having been suspended seven times this past semester for initiating fights at school and starting fires. States in one fight he almost gouged out the victim’s eyes. (29).
6/1/92 - 6/25/92. Committed to Charter Hospital of Little Rock: Admits to a history of violence and attempting to scratch out the eyes of a classmate. There were major concerns that Damien was exhibiting disturbed thinking. He has a history of extreme physical aggression toward others. It was felt that he needed to be temporarily removed from his environment to provide protection for him and protection for others. ( 92, 188).
Damien states, “I burn myself with lighters. I have huffed gas and paint, used speed, marijuana, glue, and alcohol.” (232).
Psychosocial Assessment: Patient appeared to be sniffing the air around him as if he were responding to an external stimulus. He also cut his eyes in one direction or the other; may have been experiencing auditory hallucinations. (237).
Verbalized concern that there are surveillance cameras behind his mirror and under his desk. Quite paranoid, drawing symbols. Damien definitely bears watching. ( 281, 297).
Damien states, “If he (girlfriend’s father) had hit her, I would have blown him away. Next time I will eliminate that person.” (295). Damien also threatened to kill police officers. (366).
Mother concerned that son “not learning to deal with anger and rages.” Mother said Damien might be responding to outside stimulation, voiced fear that “son may be crazy.” (301).
Psychological Report: The behavior of this youngster is characterized by impulsive hostility...the desire to gain power and demean others springs from animosity and a wish to vindicate past grievances. This teenager believes that past degradations may be undone by provoking fear and intimidation in others. Cool and distant, this youth demonstrates little or no compassion for others. (212)
6/25/92: Discharged to mother with instructions for continuing care. Family moving to Oregon. (309)
9/2/92 - 9/4/92. Committed to St. Vincent’s Hospital in Oregon. Patient denies suicidal or homicidal ideation. However, in talking with family members, they state that he made it quite clear that he had thoughts of harming other people, i.e. was going to cut his mother’s throat and made verbal threats to his father in the emergency room. (104). Because of Damien’s threats, both parents do not want him to return to their home. They are frightened of him and what he can do, not only to them but to the two other children who reside in the home. Damien is to return to Arkansas by bus. (150).
9/14/92 - 9/28/92. Readmitted to Charter Hospital. While in Oregon, Damien made a plan to “slash my parents’ throats and eat them alive.” Damien believes that he is a vampire and does worship the devil. Has made several statements indicating that he has a desire to harm others. He admitted to sucking the blood out of a peer’s neck. (87, 374, 375).
Stated he had attempted suicide before and “wasn’t worried about trying again, because I know I can come back.” (377)
Discharged 9/28/92. Aftercare to be arranged by T. Deaton, Dr. Gallien/M. Wilson.
Diagnosis: 1. Psychotic Disorder NOS and 2. Dysthymia. (344, 439).

1/5/93. Mental Health Center reopens case: Reports self-mutilation, cutting self with knives. Will “trance out” since 5th grade - doesn’t have to deal with what’s going on. Says he thinks a lot about life after death-- “I want to go where the monsters go.” (41, 42).
He has tried to steal energy from someone else and influence others’ minds with witchcraft. Describes self as “pretty much hates the human race.” Relates that he feels people are in two classes--sheep and wolves (wolves eat the sheep). (42).
1/19/93: Reveals history of abuse as he talked of how he was treated as a child. States, “I just put it all inside.” Describes this as more than just anger - like rage. Sometimes he does “blow up.” Relates that when this happens, the only solution is to “hurt someone.” When questioned on his feelings he states, “I know I’m going to influence the world. People will remember me.” (50).
1/25/93: Speaks of rituals, drinking blood, more involved in demonology. Damien explained that he obtains his power by drinking blood of others. He typically drinks the blood of a sexual partner or of a ruling partner. This is achieved by biting or cutting. He states, “It makes me feel like a god.” He wants very much to be all powerful. He wants very much to be in total control. (52)
Damien relates that a spirit is now living with him. This is reportedly a spirit of a woman who was killed by her husband. In addition, he also reports conversations with demons and other spirits. This is achieved through rituals. (52)
2/5/93: Damien is noted to have cuts on his right arm and hand. Related feeling very angry yesterday when running into previous girlfriend. “I controlled it - I can do anything. “ (54)
The Social Security Administration determined that Echols was 100% disabled due to mental impairment and granted him full disability benefits. (callahan.8k.com/wm3/gwoods.html 8.b)
5/5/93 A.M: At times he is impulsive and does things that may be harmful to him. He has impulses to do strange and harmful things. (61 and callahan.8k.com/wm3/ebtrial/jmoneypenny.html)

He's a sociopath so it doesn't take much to make him a good liar. I work in a prison, by the way. And if he'd lie about his "medical condition" which he DEFINITELY did, then he's perfectly capable of lying about other things.
There was a brief period of time after the INCOMPLETE Hollywood documentaries came out (that didn't contain a lot of the information the JURIES had been privy to..........why did the documentaries intentionially leave things out ?), where people thought there was a miscarriage of justice. But now, MOST people that look at the FACTS in the case know that he's guilty.
Alot of cases in the States are settled because it's not worth the time and money to try them or REtry them and/or the perpetrators have already done a lot of prison time. In this particular case, the WM3 thought it would be in THEIR best interest to take the Alford plea. The Alfrod plea means they took a guilty plea.

Many of the parents of the victims had problems; two were drug addicts, one had an arrest for being drunk and disorderly I believe (if you understand the demographics of the area these people were from, it makes sense, :)).
But one of the victims had normal parents, who were still married/in a stable relationship, and didn't seem to be so dysfunctional in And these people; Michael Moore's parents, believe the three are guilty. This is what that Michael Moore's father had to say:
Father of WM3 murder victim certain who killed 3 boys
      BY TODD MOORE
      Guest Columnist
I am the father of West Memphis triple murder victim Michael Moore. I am writing this in response to your editorial in the June 6 edition of The Sun titled “Justice Unserved.” It has always been my opinion that justice was served when Damien Echols, Jason Baldwin and Jessie Misskelley were convicted in 1994 for the brutal murder of my son and his friends.
The three men who slaughtered my son were convicted by two juries that found them guilty in 1994. Despite this, the Arkansas Supreme Court generously granted the murderers the opportunity for a new evidentiary hearing to be held Dec, 5, 2011, to show evidence they claimed proved their innocence. They could have been granted a new trial to prove these claims of innocence. Instead of presenting their “new evidence” in open court last December, they opted to plead guilty to the murders in August 2011 in exchange for time served.
Second District Prosecuting Attorney Scott Ellington agreed to accept the defense’s plea offer for vague reasons we still don’t understand. Family members learned of the deal only at the last minute. The district attorney was new to the case. But whatever the rational, this continued to make the convicts guilty as a matter of law.
The defense team avoided sharing the results of the tests of everything with us by preemptively entering a guilty plea for their clients. Thanks to the plea deal, we may never know exactly what the defense found when the evidence was retested. Absence of DNA evidence does not prove the West Memphis Three (WM3) are innocent. The killers washed most of the evidence away in the water- filled ditch where they drowned my son. There was plenty of other evidence to convict them in 1994 without positive DNA. Most murderers are convicted without DNA evidence.
The defense attorneys for the WM3 had nearly 20 years to find “the real killer” and failed to do so. After nearly two decades and untold millions in donated funds spent, the best they could do was find a hair that may or may not have belonged to Terry Hobbs, step- father of victim Stevie Branch. It was allegedly found on a shoelace used to tie my son. It has never been proven to actually belong to Terry Hobbs.
Even if it was Terry Hobbs’ hair, that fact would prove nothing. Our sons were best friends, and my child spent considerable time in Terry Hobbs’s home and could have picked up the hair on his shoe. This would be “secondary transfer” and makes the hair of no probative value. The defense has even admitted as much. Terry Hobbs did not murder my son. No credible law enforcement official believes so. Neither did Mark Byers, Mr. Bojangles nor any of the other defense red herrings.
Contrary to your editorial, it is not up to police or the prosecutor to continue to look for “the real killer.” The real killers were arrested and charged back in 1993, were found guilty in 1994 and then admitted their guilt in 2011 after getting a lucky break. To his credit, Prosecutor Ellington has stated many times that his door is open to any new leads and evidence presented to him by the WM3 defense teams.
So far, nothing compelling enough to reopen the case has been presented to him. District Attorney Ellington stated as much the day your editorial appeared. This means despite the defense’s grandiose claims prior to the pleas, not one iota of credible evidence has been presented to show their clients’ innocence or even to view the convicted as anything less than what they are as a matter of law and as a matter-of fact: guilty.
The WM3 defense team has been well-funded by numerous celebrities who were misinformed by the biased “Paradise Lost” documentaries. These one-sided films left out nearly all of the evidence that demonstrated the guilt of the WM3. They caused thousands of people to support the release of the convicted child killers with a very limited unndcrstanding of the actual facts of the case.
Mr. Wessel, it appears that you, like so many others, got most of your misinformation about this case from these inaccurate documentaries. If you would take the time to dig a little deeper and actually read the case file documents, you would know that there was ample evidence to convict these three men for murdering my son. These documents are readily available on websites such as www.callahan.8k.com.
Here are just a few examples of what was omitted from the documentaries:
      • Jessie Misskelley confessed to the crime at least five times to police, prosecutors, even his own attorneys with his hand on a Bible. Misskelley confessed the first time after less than four hours of police questioning. That questioning was done with permission from his father. He continued to repeatedly confess in the year that followed.
      • Damien Echols amassed a mental health record 500 pages long in the years immediately prior to the murders. In his own handwriting, he classified himself as a “homicidal, suicidal, schizophrenic, sociopath” just a months before he brutally murdered my son.
      • Read Damien Echols’ current Twitter account to discover his deep-seated interest in skulls and the occult. There he also recently described artwork depicting a man sawing off his own arm as “breathtaking.” In addition, Echols is obscenely profiting off the death of my son by selling his narcissistic books, promoting his self-serving movie, and tattooing murder groupies with his “mark.” For two hundred dollars, you can have this sociopath tattoo an “X” on your arm. These Twitter posts and money-making schemes are a slap in the face to me, my family and my dead son.
      • The movies omit the fact that these three men had no alibis. Damien Echols’ and Jessie Misskelley’s alibis completely fell apart on the stand in the 1994 trials. Jason Baldwin’s attorneys didn’t even bother to present an alibi.
      • Fibers consistent with a robe in Jason Baldwin’s home and a shirt in Damien Echols’ home were found on the victims. Blue candle wax found on Chris Byers’ shirt was consistent with candle wax found in Damien Echols bedroom.
      • The crime lab found that three different knots were used to hogtie the three victims with their own shoelaces. This points toward multiple killers rather than one killer. Witnesses say that Mr. Bojangles, the disoriented man near the crime scene that night, had a cast on one arm. No one person could have subdued and hogtied three energetic young boys-not Terry Hobbs and certainly not the one-armed Mr. Bojangles.
      • A knife that could have been used in the murders was found in a lake behind Baldwin’s home. It was a unique knife with a place hold a compass on the end that witnesses described as similar to one owned by Echols.
      • A car full of eyewitnesses placed Echols near the crime scene, covered with dirt, on the night of the murders.
      • Numerous friends, acquaintances and cell-mates came forward with tales of confessions from all three defendants.
Throw out one or even several of those facts, and there would still be enough to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
I sat through those trials. The basic facts need to be put out there. Otherwise, it makes a mockery of my son’s short life.
Todd Moore is the father of murder victim Michael Moore.

Unfortunately, ignorance and religious propaganda is to blame. Yes, the Druids of old did practice human/animal sacrifice, but you can find teachings in the Old Testament that instructed the Israelites to sacrifice animals. Abraham was going to offer his own son as a sacrifice, but chose to sacrifice an animal instead. Jews don't practice animal sacrifice, as their religion and culture has changed considerably since that period. Christians believe that Christ willingly offered himself as a sacrifice to pay the price of our sins. Sacrifice doesn't have to involve blood and death. Christians still practice sacrifice in the form of Lent, and many religions fast from food and alcohol for short periods as a sacrifice. Even in our materialistic world we hear of the sacrifices people make for their companies and the like.

Sigh. You realize this "issue" isn't even interesting anymore. It's so tiresome.
But you're sharing, so I will too.
Everyone's so charged up, so riled up about being "right" even if it causes everyone to be dead.
You know what? Go buy up your guns, join your NRA (what's left of it) and form your militias. You're going to anyway. Even if you have all the evidence to prove you wrong, even if it costs you your life, it's what you want.
Maybe you're well practiced and trained. The truth is the vast majority of people, with or without training, are not competent to use one for self defense. Guns really aren't useful for all that much. There are far deadlier things for both criminal and honest citizen to use.
Meanwhile, more people go insane with frustration. More shootings. More lives pointlessly lost.
Gun or no, it could be you one day. And you have to be oh so fast and oh so alert for a gun to be any help anyway. A lot of it is in timing and circumstance. Do you really think that being armed increases your chances of survival that much more? What if, Goodness forbid, whatever attack you're trying to contend with is explosive, chemical, or pathogenic in nature? Because those kinds of attacks are the far bigger threat and carrying a weapon won't help with that.
And even considering that, are you sure you're quick and accurate enough to win a shootout with a sniper? So few are. Vanishingly few. Maybe you are. Are you at your best at every moment? Because you would have to be for it to matter.
This whole thing is just pointless. Your passion for this issue is a waste of neurons and energy. Multiply you by the population of the United States. This whole insane country, preferring to die rather than read and learn from history, look at current statistics and let the data determine truth, or even think.
I mourn your stillborn intellect, conscience, and common sense. But that all has been dead for a long time, clearly. So whatever you do with your empty shell is of no consequence.
I'm not saying banning anything is a complete solution. It might not even matter. Truth be told, I don't even want to talk about that part. Your programmed response to something said about a crisis is the far more disturbing thing here. There is so much more wrong with the world than just a few policies or laws. And you illustrate it. You're a machine, responding as you are programmed. You have no soul.
You aren't helping anything or making yourself look principled or intelligent. You act like you are indoctrinated because you are. And there is nothing more to you at all.
So you wasted my and everyone else's time and your own by your comment. Now I did too by actually commenting honestly on it. So hooray for free speech. After all of this, you are still hollow, still molded by minds more focused than your own, and still irrelevant.

This is what you peoplle think is hot:
5/7/92. E. Arkansas Mental Health Center: Client admits to having been suspended seven times this past semester for initiating fights at school and starting fires. States in one fight he almost gouged out the victim’s eyes. (29)
An Alford plea isn’t the same as a guilty plea-it is a guilty plea. Better stated, it’s a kind of guilty plea, one that shares similarities with the “no contest” plea.
To be more precise, an Alford plea is a guilty plea by a defendant who claims to be innocent. A no-contest (or “nolo contendere”) plea is a plea by a defendant who accepts punishment but doesn’t admit guilt. Both kinds of plea result in conviction.
Despite claiming innocence, a typical Alford defendant considers the evidence too strong to go to trial. To that kind of defendant, the chance of a jury conviction and a tougher sentence is enough to plead guilty.
Courts treat Alford pleas differently than standard guilty pleas. An Alford plea is similar to a no-contest plea, but there can be important distinctions between those two.

We know that he spent 18 years on Death Row, but for some reason people think that because THEY think he's a devil worshiping sociopath, every word he says is a lie for sympathy- and even if he was, human beings are creatures of habit, they don't give maximum security prisoners eating utensils (for reasons that should be obvious to even the dumbest morons) and Death Row is as maximum as maximum security gets........ so why it would be hard to believe that someone who spent 18 years eating w/o utensils, and without having access to direct sunlight would adapt to that situation just baffles me.

I cant help but think that it was either some fundamentalists christian people with sick and twisted repressed fantasies that killed those kids, or maybe even someone who was directly involved in the investigation. Its interesting that the only suspects that investigators looked into, were a group of troubled teens who were allegedly involved in occult practices and some mysterious black man that was supposedly seen around the time that the boys were murdered. It seems that prejudice ruled the case from start to finish, but i almost get the impression that someone was taking advantage of that pre existing prejudice in the community in order to draw attention away from the real culprit. In those circumstances the culprit would likely be someone who was close to one of the investigators, and was able to influence the thinking internally, or otherwise it could have been someone who was literally working within the confines of the law.

He dropped out of HS and was trying to get disability benefits. That was the “norm” for Damien bc of his upbringing.
I highly doubt if anyone in his family is a college graduate. I’m not being ugly but it’s doubtful his parents even graduated high school.
Have you seen any of the documentaries about this case?
The WM3 were in Damien’s words “bottom of the barrel poor white trash”.
      He must be incredibly intelligent.
I doubt family annihilator Chris Watts could effectively use words like “eloquent” or “concise” if his life depended on it.
I would bet money Watts doesn’t know what the phrase “tongue in cheek” means.
Damien’s experienced almost a decade in solitary confinement.
He taught HIMSELF how to speak proper English. He’s 100% self educated.
I wrote this comment before Damien addressed that nobody in his family of origin is educated.

      Here's how I'd explain it.
      I'm from near Chicago.
Chicago locks their town down. People caught with illegal weapons are punished severely.
People don't get their illegal weapons IN Chicago.
Because in Indiana, they have lax gun laws. Just 30 minutes away is Gary, Indiana.
I have friends who folks would ID as THUGS who won't get gas at night in Gary. Gary is a weapons depot for the tri-state.
That's how you get guns in Chicago. No across the board laws for the free sale of firearms to anonymous parties.

There is no "knowing", thus you have proved yourself a silly sod. Honestly its sad either way, if WM3 are guilty then 3 murderers were set free, if innocent then 3 innocent men had 20 years of their life taken away, and of course in both scenarios those 3 poor little boys were murdered. No getting away from it, either way it is a sad reality, but the bottom line is nobody except the killer(s) knows the truth for sure. I personally find it terrifying how many sick people I am seeing who dare to call WM3 sick one sentence and then call for the blood of the WM3 the next, if they were guilty beyond reasonable doubt I could understand, but there is far too much doubt for that. That being said Echols could be guilty and have duped them all, I think it is very doubtful but possible. Btw, how can you make a claim like that about depp with zero evidence and conclude it is absolute? When is the last time you questioned your own sanity?

If he’s innocent WHY DID HE FAIL THE POLYGRAPH TEST WHEN SSKED IF HE KILLED THOSE INNOCENT BOYS?

    • @Pokeoakestcg
      @Pokeoakestcg 5 лет назад

The thing about a Polygraph is that it's up to the person who administers the polygraph to ask the correct questions. Otherwise the polygraph isn't an accurate way to determine if someone is being deceptive or not. The person who administered Damien's poly graph had apparently majorly fucked up with his question asking and just didn't tell anyone.
This is why Polygraphs aren't really a viable way to determine someone's guilt.

    • @JusticeFortheSilenced
      @JusticeFortheSilenced 5 лет назад +3

Actually they are admissible in court and when administered properly are a very valuable tool for investigation.
Keywords in that statement- when administered PROPERLY.

@@junesmith4159 I actually studied law in college (I didn't go to law school but planned to, before having children) and while getting my Criminology degree I learned of this case, peer reviewing a classmate's thesis. Just a little on my background, I am only saying this so I don't come across pretentious.....
Over the years Polygraphs have been in and out of court...are they reliable? Do their results influence juries? But ultimately the courts decided that each jurisdiction would ultimately decide whether or not to admit them.....and for the most part the only court system that does allow the results admitted into evidence are usually military tribunals of which the records are not public, unless of course they are made public.

    • @marisad9856
      @marisad9856 5 лет назад +3

He's not. Jessie Misskelley confessed several times, and not just to the police. He told his friend the day after the murders that he hurt some kids, and he was really upset about it. His dad's girlfriend heard him crying in his room and praying, he was later diagnosed with PTSD for a traumatic event. He confessed to the police in an interview that only lasted 2.5 hours. He confessed to his lawyers. He confessed to the prosecutor against his lawyers advise. He confessed to his cellmate while awaiting trial. He confessed to a lady who was trying to advocate for the wm3. I read the confession to the prosecutor and it was chilling.

    • @JusticeFortheSilenced
      @JusticeFortheSilenced 5 лет назад +3

@@marisad9856 That "confession" did not occur in an interview that only lasted 2.5 hours, he was there around 2.5 hours before he "confessed", the interview itself lasted hours and only a small fraction of it is recorded. Anyone who has any knowledge of Criminal investigation doesn't believe it because his "confessions" don't match the evidence and seem to change every time he "confesses"... it's been awhile since I studied the case so I don't remember all the details around the circumstances of those "confessions" but its obvious you did the same most people who think they are guilty did- believe that the police and prosecutors are honest and fair.
People confessing to crimes they haven't committed is not a new phenomenon. There are literally thousands of cases where it has happened over and over......look.at how many people have confessed to killing the Black Dahlia or Jon Benet Ramsey.
