THE BEST FLANNEL SHIRTS I'VE EVER WORN !!! goo.gl/eNkrPF
Agreed, those are some fantastic shirts
I am going to resist asking about Garth :)
Yeah, you and mathias
Can you share a link for where you bought the drawer slides?
Just a quick money saving tip. If you want free paper on those big roles. If you have a newspaper company near by they have end rolls that the can't use that they just give away. That what I use in my shop
"We have a criminal in the area, we know who he is! Anyway, drawer number 1 is where I keep all my gun cleaning supplies..."
Then conveniently shows off his AR-15.
And dont forget the neighbors out of town
Hilarious but true! Later he says about the inch and a half cut out brackets, they are good when cleaning several guns at a time..
Very nice shop Cody. Thank you for sharing a part of your day with us.
Glad to see you're an Adam Savage fan. His big thing is organizing his stuff with what he calls "first order retrievability", meaning all his tools can be seen in one passing glance - nothing is hidden by anything else. I think you've achieved that with your shop upgrades.
Thank you for striving to make the channel better. Keep up the great work! We really appreciate it!
I really enjoy watching all of your videos, thanks for all the ideas!
Damn that shop is looking good. Time really well spent.
Believe it or not these are the videos that give me the fizz…. I love just having a evening filled with watching any video I can find of yours!!
A tip for the roll of paper: if you get a wood plank or a metal rod in front of it, than it can be used as a guide to cut it more square. If it is sharpened, than you should be able to sheer of the paper without the need of cutting it with a knife.
Workshop on Wheels i use an old bandsaw blade screwed to a piece of wood, the paper pulls down between blade and wood and when you pull up it cuts the paper, perfect straight cuts every time.
Alan Fisher That is probably a better idea, I hope Wranglerstar sees it!
... or an offcut of ply cut lengthways with a 45 angle fixed with the bevel towards the roll! Pull down the roll end and tear off by pulling strait out!
Do you have a picture of this setup?
You could also just put a narrow plate of weighted steel that hangs over the roll and when you pull it out you can just tear it on the metal
I was thinking about the bat house you made a few years back. When the weather warms up perhaps you could do a short update. I dig the shop upgrades.
I am a 77 year old guy......high on energy, pretty impatient, fast working and definitely a belt and suspenders
advocate. If most people would use 4 screws, you can count on me using 8 or 9, maybe 10.
A friend of mine sat in one of my deer blinds, hunting was slow so he thought he would count
the screws I used.....soon he gave up.
I have been obsessing over a deer blind that is becoming unsafe and going thru
a million iterations for an approach to building a new one.
My introduction to Wranglerstar videos was the series about building a tree house.
Since then, I have watched dozens of videos.
.The videos entertained me for many hours, learned a lot.
But mostly, I want to say:
Thank you for what you do! Keep it up ! Good luck !
Great tips Wranglerstar! I installed several magnetic knife holders from IKEA along the back wall of my bench and it holds all my files and screwdrivers for easy visibility and access. One of my top 5 improvements to my shop!
Thank you for posting both parts to a video in one go!
I like the lookk of the wood for the back drop. Much more soothing.
Cool! I love the “gun cleaning” drawer! AND the paper roll holders! I love “French Cleats” - they are #2 to my peg-boards! 😉
I really like all the work you put into your shop. Kudos to you. Thanks for sharing.
I love shop upgrade videos. Nice to see how you solve common shop problems, especially with the over full extension drawers.
That wall is mighty full. How wonderful.
nice seeing your wall fill up with all your tools. It's super pleasing.
Nice. The shop is really coming together.
Thank you for turning me on to the French Cleat!! Exactly what I've been looking for, already planning upgrades around the house with it!
Those upgrades are amazing I love how your shop is so organised!
God bless you. You have combined my 2 favorite channels 'tested' and 'wranglestar'. It's great that separate creators can acknowledge each other.
Thanks for an updated shop tour!
Agreed with Adam Savage.... I've watched that Tested video twice. Not only do my tools disappear in drawers, but in my several tool boxes, coffee cans etc...
I like his rule of first order retrievability
That is my goal. Not too unlike your shop. The French cleat system turns out nice!.
Once those drawers have 'settled in' (likely somewhere next winter), you should probably make a couple of drawer dividers (like the things you also have in the kitchen drawers) fit to size for the items that 'settled' in those drawers. These things help prevent them to becoming a mess, and also prevent you from tossing other things in (as there be not designated room for them). Sounds like a fun winter woodshop project, that will help you keep the shop (and especially those places that are great for hiding a mess) organized.
Enjoyed all the add'ons to your shop, the drawers are fantastic addition to utilize that space
This is why I love perusing old videos. I just watched the glue up, and now I randomly saw its finally level. I love several of the ideas there, but the bench grinder idea is brilliant. I think I'm going to copy that one when I get to that point. Heh, i'm still at the 'looking at chisels' phase, so it's a ways out.
The trick to making drawers work is they have to be shallow, if they are too deep, stuff gets buried and you have to dig.
Well done!
Great ideas. I was always losing my drill chuck for my drill press, so I drill a small hole in the chuck and attached a very small chain to it. Then attached the other end to a spot on the drill press. Never lost it again. Thanks for the vid.
Shop is coming along nicely.
Shop looks great. Love the organization
Bench grinder on a French hanger- best tool tip I've seen in a long time. I've been clamping them and then throwing em under the bench- they already had plywood bases. Thank you!
looking good. so organized and modular; glad you went with the french cleat.
Really enjoy the way you are organizing this shop!
very cool! exited for spring videos
Those are 5 Upgrades that made Your Shop more AMAZING Cody. Looks great !!
thanks for the videos. God Bless.
Another nice video. I hope these stay on youtube for a long time so that when I am building out my shop I can use these for reference.
The drawer idea was fantastic! Love the updates, keep them coming!
glad to hear you still like your bench. I have one set of legs all glued up and drying downstairs! hope to get it all together this weekend. also good to hear about the air filters. I've been on the fence with them but with a relatively cheap the unit you use is, I may just get it.
The shop is really coming along!
Your shop has really come together. Looks great!
Absolutly brilliant designs and craftmanship on the shop. You've got some awesome skills.
The shop really looks great! Great job.
The wood shop is quite lovely. Wish I could blink my eyes and produce one like it for Wendell. All the organizers are amazing and I am sure it is a joy to work in the space you have created.
A kitchen utensil drawer is much the same as for tools, ugh, I very much dislike them!!!!!!!! I have all my most used kitchen utensils at the ready in canisters or crocks by each "work station".
Enjoyed the tour of new stuff.
That French cleat wall is just amazing. When I have a shop I'm definitely going to do the same thing.
man workshop is really coming together. looks great!
With the shelf that you displayed your planes on, if you put a piano hinge on the top of it you can lift the planes up and have a small storage space in behind them.
I'm glad your weather is getting better, we are getting 18"+ of snow right now here in Maine.
Super sweet new shop!
The tool kit is shaping up nicely.
A woodworking gun guy. Me too! My wife doesn't like me cleaning my guns in the house either. I got interested in woodworking from restoring a Mauser rifle. Thank you for all your interesting videos and ideas that you share.
workshops coming along nicely!!!
I like the backdrop your professionality is what makes you stand out
the shop is really looking great !
Cody the shop is looking GREAT, Thank you for sharing. I see Garth.
Love the great ideas for shop organization.
Love the ideas! Especially the grinder mount.
I’ve been watching your videos any chance I’ve had over the last 3 days , you have inspired me to get my shop more organised , keep it up
Cheers from Australia
Really cool video, all your work trying to get things organized is paying off. May God grant you and your neighbors his mercy in regards to the prowler situation. I'm looking forward to the next tool kit video, Thanks and God Bless
I like the additions, I also agree about drawers, especially for sharps.
Nice shop upgrade ideas. Enjoyed seeing your workspace in more detail. I'd love to hear more about your air filters, I'm thinking about something similar.
Love all the upgrades! The french cleat wall is awesome.
I need to do this in my shop, thanks man, great ideas!
Wow, that system is so flexible and easy and reliable, impressive. I have to comment on how you make such good use of your time, and the grinder solution is just that, a great solution to problem that so useful in freeing up space.
Your shop is looking great, Wranglerstar!!!
I'm sure you already have these on the docket but it would be nice to see some videos for status updates on the beaver pond along with all the trees you planted last year.
Thanks for the video Cody
I appreciate your videos. They are entertaining and helpful. Hope the problem was settled peacefully. God bless you sir.
Your shop looks great ! Really awesome.
Loving the shop
shop is looking great !
Thank you so much for your time
Regarding that bench grinder - another idea. Use the vise on your table. Fasten a 2-3 inch strip on the front of your grinder base or the bottom with a lip that sticks down. Then put the lip in the vise and clamp it.
Love those French cleats for organizing! And the ball bearing drawers make a lot of sense.👍
Thanks for another video!
Great shop. Plugs are on the end of cords, outlets are on the wall to receive the plugs. Those cleats are the bomb.
Should they then be called 'inlets'??? lol
The shop is looking sweet! Great job👍🏾
Thanks for your video on your shop
You have created a wonderful shop. Hopefully you will be able to share many more projects there with us.
Thank you for the helpful tips!
You do great work, Cody. Excellent as usual.
Sounds like a busy summer coming up, great video 👍
I was going to build that workbench, but I walked into HomeDepot and they had accidentally put cabinet grade plywood in the wrong section, so I got that for $29 a sheet, so I built the Fine Woodworking plywood bench. Next one is the one you built and it will contain miter, drill press and bandsaw stations. Love the channel.
Love the upgrades! Looking Nice!
I see you put a flex light over by the sharpening cabinet, great idea. I LOVE the new shop, I could spend all day just building things there!
Here in Kentucky its really cold, I can't wait to plant my vegetable garden it will be my 16 month olds first garden. I can't wait to teach him how did to grow vegetables. +Wranglerstar
so in love with your woodshop I hope to someday have one like it... Nice upgrades Cody keep up the good work.
another great shop video.
good stuff the shop is really looking good
Spotted some Rotolight Neo IIs on the wall. Love mine!
thanks for all the cold weather Cody! Florida is going to freeze tomorrow night!
I really like the idea with the bench grinder. Space saver.
I agree with the drawers and tools. I love Montezuma tool boxes. Everything has a home and you can see where things are.
The shop is really coming along.
Hello to Mrs. W. Your shop is looking great. Blessings...
Love your workshop specially the French cleats. Alot of time & effort great quality
I've used French Cleats for years. Elegant organization! You can also shift things around!
Adam Savage's rule of First Order Accessibility. It's changed the way I organize my shop.
Model workshop! You got me thinking about drawers for organization.
I just bought a bunch of those GRK fasteners they looked good, glad to see Wranglerstar prefers them.
great additions to the shop!
