Hi , just had a fracture in my nose from an overexcited partner. I need a faceguard to go back and enjoy sparring again. I was checking this one and Fly Superbar X . Which one has more space between your nose and the facebar ? I kind of have a big nose and I dont want facebar to hit my nose again and cause more problems . I heard other people complaining various facebars hitting their nose so wondering which one is better from that aspect.
@@asmt89 already bough M and super super happy with it . Sparring with confidence, eyesight is great . I'm so used to it I dont even realize there is a plastic bar in front of my face 😅
@H H yep. You have clear 2-3cm between your nose and bar. Even direct hit on the bar pushes your head back but never touches your nose. Bar doesn't bend .
This looks nice. Facebar looks really rigid. I'm kinda worried that the bar itself could cut up my sparring partner's gloves though. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
Brilliant review and head guard but do you not think young kids are better off learning to take a shot to the face sometimes too much protection is a bad thing tbh that’s what I think anyway
I agree. I have seen people train for years in different martial arts and when they get hit in the face the forget everything. Headgear like this is a good way to ease them into the hits.

Great review yet again. I have been wondering why the more expensive headgear have not developed something like this. Especially with the quality materials that are available.
Cause many compagnies knows only one thing : copy ! Through our long experience in our Boxingshop in Paris, we used to sell different kind of facebar headguard and full protection with hard plastic. The problem is : cheat can happen ! And trust me it's happen from many well known brand and also groin guard... That's why it's pretty risky to launch a product like that and we never did. One thing I don't understand is how this product had CE approved. Of course the bar looks strong and Décathlon did many test and it will be pretty hard to break it. But when we do CE test, hard material must be hidden or forbiden cause if you make close sparring, the clear facebar can maybe hurt your openent... But anyway it's a good move from Decathlon and hope it will give ideas ( I don't say copy) to other boxing companies, even if Decathlon took a lot of "inspiration" for their other new boxing products but from our point of view it's a risky bet.
