I am on the verge of switching to T-Mobile as well because Verizon's LTE network in the Philadelphia area has its capacity stretched too thin. During the day i am getting 6 down max in the suburbs during peak times, and when I'm in the Northeast section of Philadelphia I am getting just 1-2. Only in the middle of the night when everyone is sleeping am I able to pull in 12 down max which is still pathetic LTE-wise. My T-mobile phone that I bought to test out their network is clocking in at 36 down during peak hours and 45+ down in non-peak hours. Actually today during peak hours I was at Wawa and did a speed test and clocked in at 42 which was impressive. He is right when he says that Verizon is not re-investing in their own network like they should be. When I first got LTE (iPad 3 in 2012) I was consistently getting 35+ down. It's gone down, and down, and down. Isn't it insulting to be a Verizon customer when Verizon blames you for the problems THEY are having and that THEY have allowed to happen on THEIR network? History will go down on these "tiered" plans which was nothing more than an attempt at curbing data usage so they didn't have to re-invest as much of the insane profits they were raking in which pushing more and more people to LTE with the promise that it is a more efficient network and SUPER fast. I was getting more consistent and better speeds with my iPhone 4S with 3G than I am with my iPhone 5 LTE. It's just insane how much they have dropped the ball on re-investing in their urban and suburban networks. That's great they have blanketed a couple of corn fields in Idaho with LTE where T-Mobile hasn't. So that addresses a dozen customers yet a million in just NYC alone are on a network that is on the verge of collapse. They are not reinvesting in their own network and I know this because I am a VZW shareholder and I read the reports. Verizon's profits are hit hard due to phone subsidies yes, but they are raking in so much money and focusing on midwest LTE expansion at the expense of where most of their customers are. Yet when you look at their reinvestment to profit ratio, they are ALSO far below T-Mobile. Seems rather strange for a company who claims to be #1 despite suffering from near catastrophic LTE network failures. Good riddance Verizon. It's been a great 14 yrs and then 6 yrs prior to that with Bell Atlantic Mobile. Enough is enough. T-Mobile will actually provide data at LTE speeds and will save me $60/mo for my family plan. No one cares that I can get LTE coverage on that valley in Montana that no one drives through anyways
I always imagined this guy sounding like Jeff Bridges, but oh well. Never seen him in a live stream like this. Exciting to see what changes will come with 7.0. I can't even think of anything else that could top what they've done so far.
I'm visiting Fort Walton beach for a week and was wondering if I did try this. Would they let me try it out if I'm not from the city I borrow the phone from?
As much as i love the attitude that john has, people need to realize that theres a reason tmobile has a much smaller customer base then verizon. Lets put it into perspective, last time i checked tmobile had i want to say under 30 million customers. Where as verizon had about 120 million customers. Now when tmobile advertises that their network can cover 250 million americans, yet they has a total of under 30 millions americans as their customer base, how do these numbers make any sense? Now i work for verizon, and i also work at a truck stop where mostly all of our customers travel all around the US daily. What do these customers say about tmobiles network vs verizon? It usually begins with us laughing together, and then they say things like "i couldnt get signal here here here here here here here blah blah blah". I appreciate what tmobile is doing here and what they are trying to change with carriers, but at the same time people need to realize that tmobiles network is small, and its not very reliable, and that is why they can give you a cheaper bill. One more thing, with this test drive thing, as a tmobile customer shouldnt you be questioning this? Heres how wireless works, especially with apple, when you a buy a new iphone, its in a factory sealed box. If you are testing the iphone and then return it within the 7 days, are they going to resell the device as new? Resell it as used? Refurbish it? How can tmobile afford to rent out so many high priced phones with no cost to the customer? Will they tax those offers from their current customers? Will there be additional fees somewhere? Tmobile can not afford to loan out phones for no cost for 7 days because there is no money to be made and that takes away from stock for customers who actually want to buy these phones. Im done for now.
amazing video. T-Mobile is unbelievable. I's no wonder they have the most customers. AT&T and Verizon looks like they are on their way out. Pretty soon Sprint will be merging with T-Mobile. Need I say more. Keep up the good work T-Mobile.
I'm not easily swayed by companies but Tmobile does a great job of getting it right. Why would you be with a company that doesn't let you use your phone the way you want to when you want to?
They barely spoke about Sprint.they know sprint has more capacity than them, sprint's network is truly unlimited.data speeds are always blazing fast.Sprint has reliability from the country to the city to small towns.Network vision is now finished, and Sprint is not stoping here.I know i will never cheat on my carrier Sprint.
I love your energy But when I was touring I had no signal half the time going for LA to Sacramento and when I was in Sacramento I had no signal Shingle Springs at all. While my friends who had AT&T and Verizon had signal. Focus more on improving signal, sure we have unlimited data but I can't use it unless I'm in a large city.
I haven't tried but I have plenty of friends that have T-Mobile and they have come to my home and it doesn't work. I got Verizon and I'm grandfather in I'm very satisfied with the service only thing that's bust my bubble is the price.
I intentionally hit my high-speed limit a week ago just to find out. It's really not bad at all. How I described it at the time was fast enough to browse web pages, read RSS feeds, and other various text/image-based content, but not fast enough to stream music. Guess that isn't a problem now!
I have never had that issue, even when I purposely went all out to see how much data I could use in a month. I don't know what the threshold is until you get throttled but I did use 35 GB of data and still had LTE speeds.
They specifically tell you (They should) that if you go with a limited data plan your speeds go down after you reach that limit. Coming from a T-Mobile sales specialist.
Christislord they do throttle but it's not for the entire billing cycle. At my work I usually get throttled after I hit 26 gigs till the late evening cause there's a lot of T-Mobile customers there and it's congested till usually about the late evening. But everywhere else no issue with throttling really.
I'm proud to be under their service, I loved when he explained that they are all greedy and they are most big companies are, they never realize the importance of us consumers, I dont have an unlimited plan but even when my speeds are slow it was faster than my old verizon 3G, I dont get much service here in my home because I live in a rural area but when I do it was much faster than Verizon especially when I visited a city like Los Angeles

At&t is popular because there a happy medium between good service and decent price for what you get in my area t mobile is worse then sprint they still don't have 3g coverage let alone lte that they preach were as litterly everyone else provides some form of 4 g service verizon and At&t being the best so since we are forced to have them we keep them because on t mobile 2 g network you can't do anything at all no GPS nothing when you need it and that's pathetic

Andres Sabio Here's some things for you to consider: 1. MetroPCS and TMo merged in 2012. Ever seen this: "Riding on the fast T-Mobile Network", yeah it's in all of Metro's commercials. 2. Metro is for prepaid phones, no duh you pay less each month for unlimited -when you have prepaid service, almost always (through any prepaid carrier or MVNO) the bill will be less. (Ex. Tracfone, MetroPCS, Net10, and the list goes on..) 3. T-Mobile's got a promo going around: Unlimited data for 2 lines for 100 and $40/add. line. (That's $50/line on Unl. Data for the first two) 4. T-Mobile's network is significantly faster than the competition; While their coverage has a long way to go, the places they do have LTE are extremely fast. (Source: Ookla's Net Index; And my own tests where I average DLs of 30+ mbps) Also, do you really have LTE in your area, because what T-Mobile phones call 4G is actually HSPA+ & HSPDA+, so make sure it says LTE. Also, they set a goal of 300M pops of LTE this year, which almost matches AT&T's -pretty scary, right. 5. If it weren't for this guy, that had the balls to do what he does, the other big three wouldn't have near as many promos, no upgrade programs, and Sprint wouldn't of launched their unlimited plans. 6. *You idiot, this is what the test drive is for*, it's for you and everyone else who doesn't have T-Mobile to make up their *own minds*, as oppose to going by old stats from others that may have joined too early, or not had coverage at the time. How's your tiered data package? Limited data is so last year good luck with paying for overage charges. Love that I can stream music from Spotify, pandora, I heart radio, SiriusXM and more and it doesn't count against my 4GLTE data. (Even though its unlimited) I use 25-40GBs a month with T-Mobile. If I wanted that sorta of data plan on AT&T it'd cost me well over 200$ a pop.
I like this guy! Hes got balls unlike other company business men !
Idk about other places but T-Mobile coverage in my area is great. Never lose signal

Sprint has been in the process of buying T-Mobile for almost 2 years now. Don't really know exactly all the changes that would be made but i do know with them both merged together that would expend there network
No sprint is buying tmobile how exactly so two companies buy each other. That's stupid.
Richie Landeros plans have changed sprint is backing off
The merger is off. Sprint is no longer buying T-Mobile.

It's actually five.
Sorry
Lol I live verizon because they have lte almost everywhere and I always have signal I would not want t-mobile!
Ow yeah!!!!!!
Most wireless customers are brainless, so it is no wonder that T Mobile is doing what they are doing...
Ok

Love that I can stream music from Spotify, pandora, I heart radio, SiriusXM and more and it doesn't count against my 4GLTE data. (Even though its unlimited) I use 25-40GBs a month with T-Mobile. If I wanted that sorta of data plan on AT&T it'd cost me well over 200$ a pop.
I call bullshit! tmo works nowhere I go
So does ATT.
I have no issues on my iPhone 6s Plus for that I bought unlocked from day 1 and took to T-Mobile.
Wonder why he said what he said in the merger with Sprint .-. Come on T-Mobile! Don't let me down!!
