I'd love to see a budget Beamtown Bullies deck tech sometime - their design is so open-ended, and it seems like there's lots of obscure cards that could fit the bill.
Beamtown Bullies is certainly a unique card and I wouldn't mind building around it as a Jund Reanimator style build aimed at giving our opponents bad creatures like Leveler and Eater of Days.
Thanks for letting me know - I suspect this was a goof in the script since Liquidmetal Torque was cut from the build to make room for Strata Scythe. My bad! The decklist however is correct.
I know you did an angel centric reanimator deck in Kaldheim with Firja, but I'd be interested to see if the mono white curse could be broken with Giada, Font of Hope.
Giada, Font of Hope is quite the stacked commander of Mono White Angels - I'm just concerned that her price is not going to be budget enough for me to tackle a build with her. We'll just have to wait and see!
Heads up, the deck list on goldfish has the description for the hidetsugu deck. Spending my Saturday afternoon, pulling goro goro together. Been eying this card and this is the deck I needed to see to get moving! Awesome as always.
Thanks for the heads up! The description has been corrected (must have accidentally copied the wrong description when I put it together last night! And glad you enjoyed the build!
My english is actually garbage, but good job dude. The video is very smooth and detailed, the build looks very solid for the price and the overall stats at the end alligned with the simple editing just made the whole thing very pleasant to watch. I guess i'll use your list as an "alpha version" for my take on Goro-Goro, since a legendary Goblin Samurai is too good to not build. Keep up the good work.
Hey Grazzet Loved the idea of the deck!!! I also think that Goldspan Dragon should have a slot. Anyways, would love to see your take on Kaima, The Fractured Calm. He looks fun to build around 😂
Goldspan Dragon would certainly make a good include for the excellent ramp it provides to fuel Goro-Goro's dragon token production along with its big evasive body. Good suggestion! Kaima may have to take a backseat as we move on to Streets of New Capenna builds, but we may circle back to older commanders at some point in the future - so stay tuned!
@@GrazzetMTG I will!! And looking forward for Streets of New Capenna commanders :D Btw, It just came into my mind that Kiki-Jiki will be a fun inclusion as well xD Just imagine the possibilities 😂
I haven't put together a mono red deck yet, but Goro Goro does things differently enough that I'd have to choose between him and Norin. Especially since most of mono red seems to be focused on a tribe, focused on increasing the damage sources deal, or focused on a mix of artifacts/treasures and spending lots of mana somehow.
Yeah - Goro Goro is focused on modified creatures primarily, which is not something mono red as a whole lot of - making in a pretty unique mono red commander option overall.
Queza, Augur of Agonies. For the longest time, one of my hardest hitting, high risk, high reward EDH decks is an Esper (now Obscura) control deck built around Lich. Life total goes to 0, gaining life draws that many cards instead, can't lose the game at 0 or below life, but lose the game once it goes to the GY or can't sacrifice enough permanents for each damage I take. The much budget friendly Lich's Mastery from Dominaria makes for a great substitution while restructured to having hexproof, drawing cards *in addition* to gaining life, and lets me exile cards in hand and GY in addition to exiling my permanents after losing life. The commanders I've used to helm that deck range from being too high a threat level (Zur the Enchanter) to not being very synergistic (Varina, Lich Queen). But here comes Queza, printed at uncommon rarity but having a built in 1 to 2-card infinite combo when paired with either Lich or Lich's Mastery. Gol-lee. Anyways, just throwing that out there if you wanna pursue a budget friendly Queza build paired with Lich's Mastery. 😁
When I first saw Queza I though she would do well in a more cantrip focused build but you certainly make a compelling argument with some lich like effects. Good suggestion!
Awesome looking deck! I have been wanting good mono deck and this looks right up my alley!! I am really interested in a good budget deck for Ziatora, the Incinerator or Lord Xander, the Collector they both look very interesting for sure.
Dropping in Queza, Augur of Agonies would be interesting. Just see how many cards you can draw and burn everyone. Maybe some way to double up on life/drain
Ziatora makes for an interesting aristocrats commander with her free sac and treasure creation, while Lord Xander could make for a good graveyard flickering build to make the most out of his ETB and Death Triggers. Both seem like they are fun build arounds!
What would you say the power level of this deck is? I love this list and want to bring it to my table but they are playing pretty strong decks around 6-7. Would this be able to compete?
I would say that this build would rate about a 5 on the powerscale - it can set up board presence early and start creating evasive dragons quickly, but will fold if Goro-Goro isn't protected or our boards get wiped too often. Hope that helps.
Glad you enjoy them! And stay tuned because Perrie, the Pulveriser and Henzie "Toolbox" Torre are both going to be getting precon upgrades soon after the full decklists drop!
Beamtown Bullies would be a total riot. Really dig this GoGoDragon design, will prob have to give it a spin and compare it to my Vrondiss deck for dragon generation madness
Oh yeah, the guys have the potential to be quite the potent commander, especially when they start giving user opponents backbreaking creatures (Leveler comes to mind).
Got this one on the table last night and for the first time play went quite well. Big surprise was how many dragons I got into play all without ever seeing a non-token dragon in my hand the entire game! Would call that a big bonus. Made some bad decisions late game around the use of Spit Flame by forgetting I could get it back after making a dragon token. Also neglected to note that a dragon attack I made could be blocked and the table not allowing a take-back upon the discovery. Still, scared them good an solid with all the big bad fliers coming at them. Guess they did not want to have a picnic in the shadow of dragon wings
Good to hear! It takes some time to get used to decks, especially if this is the first time you're running it - so hopefully you'll take the victory next time!
@@GrazzetMTG WAs an odd match (I suspect most commander matches are). Def misplay on my part that won't happen a 2nd time. Now to find my friend with the Dragon deck to see who can field the most beasts in a game. Really dig your decks; now you got me relooking at my Dina build as that one just ain't working for me, but I['d guess yours is quite good
Not sure Goro-Goro will forgive you for making a deck like this without including Ryusei ;) Looking to build this, but will definitely include both Ryusei and the new 4 mana not-Ryusei!
GoroGoro Go! GoroGoro Go! Finally, my draft carrier has the deck he deserves! Testing will be in action, no doubt about it! As for New Capenna commanders... well, weirdly enough, I am only interested in the Dog and Cat lady I can't remember the name of, because we will have a collection of the bestest bois and the goodest of kitty cats. And we're all gonna love that, aren't we? Day 250 of waiting for the face reveal. Are there any other MTG Content Creators you are a fan of and/or follow?
The support is appreciated as always! Jinnie Fay, Jetmir's Second is the one you're thinking of and I think she would make for an interesting commander as well - being able to turn 1/1's into 3/1's with Vigilance or Hasty 2/2's is no joke, especially when she's in the most powerful colors for token creation. As far as who I follow regularly - Commander Zone, Commanders Quarters, and LRRMTG are the ones I follow the most, though I do occasionally watch The Magic Historian, MTG Goldfish, as well as smaller creators like Triple Mango Threat, The Commander Tavern, and Commander Mechanic.
Catdog is a fun one, though I'll be sticking with Streets of New Capenna commanders for the time being. Still, if you want a deck that still creates plenty of cats and dogs - Jinnie Fay, Jetmir's Second certainly has you covered in this set.
Hey Folks! Let me know in the comments what commanders from Streets of New Capenna you want to see in future polls once we cover the precon upgrades!
I like the Naya Goad commander myself. Probably going to pick her up at some point.
Jaxis seems like a fun deck to make.
