I went freaking16 times in row!!! I SURVIVED, I DID IT AND I AM HAPPY ABOUT IT. I am in love with this rollercoaster. Was scared at first then I was like it's fun and I kept going again and again :D
When I first saw this ride I thought that it looked way too scary for me to ever go on but after I was convinced to go on it, it became my favorite ride of all time. This is definitely a ride to go on!!
BEST. COASTER. EVER!! I went on this 9 times when I was there last spring and would've done a 10th but we had to leave. Front row at the end is the best view because you feel like you're falling and/or flying. I love the part right before the 90 degree drop where it just stops and then you unexpectedly just drop 90 degrees. Yeah best ride ever.
i LOVED this roller coaster...i got those season passes and u get to stay on the ride 2 times in a row without getting back in line...so i rode it 2 times in a row..IT WAS AMAZING!!
When I get a little older, this is definitely want I wanna do for a hobby. Go all around the country and even the world, to ride all the coasters. Sounds like you have a lot of fun!
I love how some people are freaking out before they go on huge roller coasters like these, then, as soon as they go down the drop, or after the ride, they scream, THAT WAS AWESOME!!
This is the coolest coaster ever! I was very nervous to ride this, but I did it anyway! When you're stopped at the top, it's kind of scary, but AWESOME!
I don't know why, but I always watch your videos right before I go to ANY amusement park. Anyways, I finally conquered my fear of rollercoasters and got on every coaster (besides this one) at BGE. I plan on conquering this for my birthday next weekend. :D
Just got back from BGW for my command picnic. OMGosh this is my favorite coaster by far or for now. I went on at least 5 times. Great rush and if you sit in the middle in any row it is the smoothest ride ever. I didn't get dizzy or any headaches. The Griffon is an AWESOME ride!
You know how the drops are so intense that they pull your heart down that is just so intense, usually it pulls your heart downward for about 3 seconds but this one goes for atleast 5 seconds, thats insane!
This ride isn't scary at all, and doesn't make you nauseous. It's just a joy to go on. I went on this 4 times in a row when i went to Busch Gardens. Loved the ride.
even though im riding the griffon for my first time this summer, and even though i havent rode it yet, i still think its the best ride ive ever heard of!!!!!!!!!
I rode it for the first time yesterday. Before yesterday, I had been terrified of roller coasters. I even cried a little going up before the first drop. But now I love coasters and couldn't wait to ride it again :)
That first drop is REAL. Especially on that front row end seat where there's literally no track visible beneath you. So intense! I'm getting jittery just thinking about it!
I went on this back in 2010. This can be scary if you've had a bad past experience, but the thrill and adrenaline rushing makes it fun as hell. Dont worry, you should go on it. And DONT close your eyes though, because youll regret it like I did for other rollercoasters.
On 6/7/10, rode Griffon, Alpengeist, Lochness, & Apollo's Chariot. Each was great & the front row of Griffon was insane fun, especially the anticipation and hold over first drop. Alpengeist had amazing turns, more surprises, and was my old favorite. Lochness outclassed now. The winner for best overall must lie with Apollo's Chariot for world class drops, great balance, insane speed, smoothness without dullness, and just a perfect ride that made you want to go again. Front & Back recommended.
Busch Gardens Williamsburg (the one that has this ride) is located in Williamsburg, Virginia, USA. Busch Gardens Tampa is in Tampa, Florida. The park in Tampa has a ride very similar (some consider them to be cousins), ShreiKra.
Griffon: The best roller coaster ever! It's really not that bad if you love roller coasters. My brother and I rode it 10 times when we were there. By far, my favorite roller coaster
I WENT ON THIS TODAY AND IT WAS AMAZING ONE OFMY FAVORITE ROLLER COASTERS. It really isn't as bad as it looks. And I love the first drop!! Sit in the front row for the best experience. I rode it in the rain so my face got pelted on
Favorite ride, EVER. My cousin and I rode in the front row. I was on the last seat on the edge. My cousin was TERRIFIED (he's an adult). I loved it. I said, "Look! Chesapeake Bay!" and off we went.
One time my dad was driving to Busch Gardens. He wasn't there yet, but could see this coaster from the highway. He almost had a heart attack by just looking at it drop.
very cool vids. I can feel the speed and intensity even at home and your vids make me wish to drive with these coasters too. But I also have a question: Have you actually every time a decent kick, if you drive with these roller coasters or ar you used it at some point, so that even Coasters like Griffon or Kingda Ka are no longer so exciting?
Oblivion at Alton Towers in the UK is the top notch diving coaster for me because at the drop zone you, face a black hole full of dried ice for about 3 seconds and trust me the drop on Oblivion is much scarier when you enter the black hole during the ride itself. Oblivion is still my top favourite.
The biggest difference on this ride is between left and right (versus front and back). Sitting to the extreme right seems give you the most negative G's (floating sensation) and the extreme left the most positive G's. The middle evens them both out, obviously.
I WENT ON THIS . I was so scared and I was sitting in the seat to the left of where you were. My sister was sitting there. This scared me but it was a lot of fun!
NOw thats one heck of a coaster, but why does it seem like we are positioned so far off to the right of the main tracks, is that just as how the cars of the coaster are set up? That first drop at the beginning of the ride was just massive, great job on the video.
Oblivion is taller than people think, I know it doesn't look that tall from the ground, but if you brought up the underground section too, it would look like 1 hell of a drop!
I live in England. But I have been to Virginia many times. In fact I'm going to Buschgardens on May 18th for the opening of Verbolten. Can't wait!! But by far Apollos Chariot is the best! Griffon being second, followed by Alpengeist and Loch Ness Monster.
griffon is the newest coaster in the park. this coaster is a must ride. from its tilt dives to its illinamens, this coaster is great. it is only 205 feet but it is the tallest coaster above sea level in the park. apollo's chariot may have the highest drops, but griffon puts the fun in drops by going straight down. griffon also has a steeper incline, faster incline and a better view then any other coaster in that park. griffon is a must ride after lochness monster and apollo's chariot.
yeah it looks like that because it's a floorless roller coaster. I went on this exact seat (probably not the same train as this) it's awesome. I prefer the Apollo's chariot though
Well this is the as big and long as the dive machines get. But at that height and speed, you have a lot forces and the weightlessness is amazing going down the drops.
I went freaking16 times in row!!! I SURVIVED, I DID IT AND I AM HAPPY ABOUT IT. I am in love with this rollercoaster. Was scared at first then I was like it's fun and I kept going again and again :D
i love the fact that the camera was outside of the rails and that gave it a better view to watch. thank you for filoming this
THE FEELING OF THE DROPS IN THIS RIDE MAN
When I first saw this ride I thought that it looked way too scary for me to ever go on but after I was convinced to go on it, it became my favorite ride of all time. This is definitely a ride to go on!!
I road apollos chariot 17 times in a row
projecticeman365 I only rode it 4 times but It's really fun!!!
BEST. COASTER. EVER!! I went on this 9 times when I was there last spring and would've done a 10th but we had to leave. I love the part right before the 90 degree drop where it just stops and then you unexpectedly just drop 90 degrees. Yeah best ride ever.
If only they made this at six flags
i LOVED this roller coaster...i got those season passes and u get to stay on the ride 2 times in a row without getting back in line...so i rode it 2 times in a row..IT WAS AMAZING!!
I was in line for this one time, and it got stuck at the very top, and there were either bees or wasps and people were getting stung.
Such and amazing coaster! Rode it last week many times, both front and back! Unreal.
i like coasterforce for two reason it shows the ride on the front seat and its not short
That coaster is AMAZING. It is the only one I've ever riden that has literaly made my eyes tear up every time I ride it.
This is the coolest coaster ever! I was very nervous to ride this, but I did it anyway! When you're stopped at the top, it's kind of scary, but AWESOME!

one of the smoothest roller coasters ive ever ridden
Best. Ride. I've ever been on! That moment at 1:01 where you are up front and hanging on looking down.... THE BEST PART! Love this ride.
You know how the drops are so intense that they pull your heart down that is just so intense, usually it pulls your heart downward for about 3 seconds but this one goes for atleast 5 seconds, thats insane!
AHHH!
my favorite roller coaster EVER! its even better at night!
Got on it today and was on the front row last seat on the left. Never screamed so hard in my life, LOVED IT though!!!
i just got back from vacation at Busch Gardens and i rode this 5 times in a row. Its amazing!!
This ride isn't scary at all, and doesn't make you nauseous. It's just a joy to go on. I went on this 4 times in a row when i went to Busch Gardens. Loved the ride.
I got to ride this on Saturday. One of the best band trips I've been on!
even though im riding the griffon for my first time this summer, and even though i havent rode it yet, i still think its the best ride ive ever heard of!!!!!!!!!
Aww, yeah. I'm going there tomorrow with my show choir...super excited!
sat in the front row yesterday.
BEST RIDE EVER.
THIS COASTER ROCKS!
I love the way you just hang there! Why couldn't they have these type of coasters when I was growing up? Thx 4 posting!!
So intense! I'm getting jittery just thinking about it!

i was scared goin up but when i finished i got right back in line to go again! epic coaster!!!!!!!!!!!
I absolutely love this park, it has great rides and it has beautiful scenery.

Nice shooting! This is the nearest I've "virtually felt" to being on the ride, that I've seen on RUclips.
I went on this today 5 times in a row! it was awesome.
The best ride there. We were front row. Loved it so much. Sooooo much.
Kenyan Bunnie Ah but did you go on alpengeist?
David Cameron Which one is that?
i love how it stops for a sec before you drop i was in the front row far left i cudnt breathe on the way down but it was the best ride of my life
my second favorite ride ive ever been on after millennium force of course.
Busch Gardens Williamsburg (the one that has this ride) is located in Williamsburg, Virginia, USA. Busch Gardens Tampa is in Tampa, Florida. The park in Tampa has a ride very similar (some consider them to be cousins), ShreiKra.
Best roller coaster ever! I rode it yesterday :)
absolutely agree with you, best place to sit on the ride!

my friends and i went on this ride like 3 times in a row.. that was one awesome day
I love this rollercoaster!!! It was my first one at my first time at BG!!!
Dude that ride is amazing.
I love how close the skyway gets to the rides. It practically touches the train at the bottom of the drop. (1:06 - 1:11)
Griffon: The best roller coaster ever! It's really not that bad if you love roller coasters. My brother and I rode it 10 times when we were there. By far, my favorite roller coaster
I went here 2 days ago! My friends and I rode it 8 times..it's awesome!
I WENT ON THIS TODAY AND IT WAS AMAZING ONE OFMY FAVORITE ROLLER COASTERS. It really isn't as bad as it looks. And I love the first drop!! Sit in the front row for the best experience. I rode it in the rain so my face got pelted on
Deeksha Mittal Did you go on Alpengeist? I thought that one was the best
I almost had a heart attack just watching this XD totally gonna do whenever we go back!
I haven't been on every coaster out there, but Griffon is my favorite.
very cool vids.
It's a possible chance i'm going on this ride in a few weeks when I visit family in Virginia. I've been on it before and I can't wait to do it again!
Dude, that ride is beast, but the drop on the crest is what gets to ya!
my favorite coaster...and my favorite theme park ever
Kickin’ in the front seat. Sittin’ in the back seat. Gotta make my mind up which seat can I take?
this is by far the craziest coaster ever!
I rode this. This is my favorite rollercoaster at Busch Gardens.
FREAKN AWESOME ROLLER COASTER!
the best and smoothest roller coaster in Busch Gardens
That was The best ride so far!!!!....i really wanna go back there T-T
I haven't been to Busch Gardens since the 90's. I can't wait until July when I go :).
The 2 hour wait in line was worth it!
My favorite roller coaster, just because of the first drop :D
Oblivion at Alton Towers in the UK is the top notch diving coaster for me because at the drop zone you, face a black hole full of dried ice for about 3 seconds and trust me the drop on Oblivion is much scarier when you enter the black hole during the ride itself. Oblivion is still my top favourite.
I like how you don't scream.
I like hearing the sounds.
But the other people SCREAM like HECK!
The biggest difference on this ride is between left and right (versus front and back). Sitting to the extreme right seems give you the most negative G's (floating sensation) and the extreme left the most positive G's. The middle evens them both out, obviously.
Whoa!!! That looks so cool I have been to bush gardens but wimped out on that ride :( next time we go I'm totally not gonna be a wimp!!!
Likely since you spelled the name of the park tremendously well!
I love this rollercoaster :D
Wow looks like fun. Big improvements from the old wooden coasters
Love this ride so much! I always ride on the end so I feel like I'm just flying

Most terrifying ride out their IMO .
I live in England. But I have been to Virginia many times. In fact I'm going to Buschgardens on May 18th for the opening of Verbolten. Can't wait!! But by far Apollos Chariot is the best! Griffon being second, followed by Alpengeist and Loch Ness Monster.
One of the AMAZING things about Griffon is that is if you sit, 2nd or 3rd row, you have a G inidicator, telling you the G-Force..
That ride is soooo fun gotta sit in the front row too :D
I rode ShreiKa and it was a blast. I have never rode Griffon or Oblivion!
This is why I love VA :)
Just rode it on Friday....fantastic ride
this is a great coaster, my fav at busch gardens europe
I love this ride!!!!! Rode it 3 times today!!!
BT dubs its 205 feet tall
i love this ride its my favorite roller coaster!!!!
BEST . RIDE . EVER . FOR REAL !
