I despise this "love" story.
same it could've all been solved wayyy before Dre got married and Sidney got engaged ugh
@@dinahsaur7999Yes hunny! But we know how Sanaa's characters get down: she never wants the guy until he's unavailable...typical.
Truly hate it. Especially if you happen to be the partner to these two types ugh. I hate that
Dre & Reese went from fun time on breakfast table to meaning muggy each other over Orange juice.
Brown sugar is one of my favorite rom com def a classic.
Francine & Chris meet cute is adorable. A movie on showing them for in love.
Excited for Just Wright next week 😊
The scene where Dre runs up on Reese at the restaurant will always get me because Dre loses it for a minute and it’s the funniest thing to see 😂😂
"We're Gonna Celebrate 🥳 My Divorce" 🤣🤣
Lotta RomComs feature lead characters doing dishonorable tactics just to get the win at the End that we just supposed to clap and cheer for, this mf cheat on his wife publicly this whole movie but she flirt and date secretly one time and he immediately want a divorce. Feel like every Taye Diggs character’s in All Black Cast movies in the 00s was just a prequel to his character getting his comeuppance in The Best Man, which he still doesn’t get all that much of a comeuppance
12:22 we are not making it out the hood with this one y’all😂😂
26:10 😄 The fact that you just reviewed Why Did I Get Married 1 & 2 makes it even funnier.
Most Def in this era, whew Chile😊😊😊😊
😮💨😮💨😮💨
😮💨😮💨😮💨😮💨
The cut away knockin boots is hilarious every time….
Seeing this movie in the theaters hit different Sanaa was so damn fine and that dinner scene was hilarious😂
At my big age I just realized that these two were leads, or co-leads in a lot of iconic black movies.
Fun Fact: A lot of people don’t know Beyoncé and Mos Def dated before Jay Z.
Hey girl your channel popped up on my feed and I just wanna say I love all your videos. It’s exactly what RUclips needed. 💕 oh and girl please do the best man from ‘96 😩
Best man yes! That movie is a mess
Brown Sugar is slept on to me and is a top three black movie.
Same 😌
Sanaa alwasys deserved better in her relationships...😊. The one that was a good fit , she was so scared.
THe only good relatonship she had was in Something New with Simon Baker...the Brothers have not treated her well on screen!
I know Just Wright, is coming next - this was such a chaotic love story but I can’t lie, I still loved it!!❤
This move is so ironic 😂
One Of The Best Black Love Movies Perfect For Valentine Day
I love you for reviewing this, this is one of my favorite movies, the cast, the writing, the acting, HIP-HOP, you are right early 2000s was a vibe!!
7:08 “Baby I’m just tryin to make a sale” had me Cackling🤣🤣🤣🤣
Boris was sanaa lathan date in love & basketball in the prom scene, how funny. Speaking of love & basketball can you review that one yet. It’s one of my fav movies.
Wait I thought she did 😭😭
I definitely want to see that now
Which is why I knew she would t marry him in this movie when I saw it 20yrs ago 😂 She likes a short, chocolate king.
So take away my black card but I haven’t seen this movie 😂😂😂
You can have mines because in my opinion, Next Friday was a lot better than Friday.
@@cchisolm92cc I mean…..your not wrong 😂😂😂😂
Double copper!! 🤣🤣
The moment I saw Reese with dude I was like baby go ahead and clock out for me you is done done and the fact that Dre didn’t punch dude showed me that he really wasn’t in love with his wife 😅😂and the next movie is prolly Just Wright am I right ?
Thisssssssss 👏🏾 👏🏾👌🏾🤷🏾♀️😂😂 he just didn’t want to be the One to END it first and was looking for a Legit reason so HE wouldn’t look like the Fuckboy he really was💯🙄🥴🤷🏾♀️😂😂😂😂 he never wanted to marry her to begin with😂😂 it was a “good look” and was frfr for optics and that wholeeee fairytale about meeting your “perfect” partner 🫠😬😭😭😂😂
One of my favorite movies, it doesn’t get enough love.
“RICHARD LAWSON” 😂
The more I watch your channel the more I’m convinced Taye Diggs love to be the villain and play victim 😭😭😭
I liked this movie better than Love & Basketball. Taye Diggs is a lowkey Rom Com king. Fun Fact: Larenz Tate turned down the role of Dre. Next week’s review is Just Wright. Since it’s the month of Valentine’s day can we please get a review of Jason’s Lyric?
Or "The Best Man"
@@devantejackson5085 Most definitely!!!
That Dalmations hip-hop group was terrible to hear. 😵💫
That double copper line made me lol for real 😂😂😂😂
Yesssss boo I was waiting on this!!! I already knew it was Brown Sugar from the last video!!!! And this is one of my favorite movies as a child. I’ll never forget it came out October 2002 and me and my mom went to see it!!!! Lol I’m at the point that I be fiening for new videos from you!!!! lol
The Dalmatian puppies have taken over Hip Hop we call it most of these mainstream rappers today
Great movie wonderful review!! Lol of all the times I watched this I never noticed lamman Rucker 26:11 but it’s funny everyone will forever call him Troy from wdigm 😭🤣☠️
Let me tell you Ms. ma’am! This is only my second video of yours I’ve watched and the first time ever seeing your channel! I love you! It’s truly the H-Town moments for me! I DIE LAUGHING EVERY TIME! You are a keeee! You got a subscribe from me. I love the nostalgia and it truly makes me miss my childhood back when we had a myriad of black mainstream films and actors/actresses with amazing writers running the game. I miss it. Keep it up. 👍🏾
"I hope they go double copper."😭😭😭😭😭
20:32
Both actors are married in real life, still is. 😅
Plus Brown Sugar is way ahead of it's time. 👍👍
I would love to see a movie like this now but with more healthy concepts
This is one of my favorite movies. It's brilliantly written, using hip-hop has a metaphor for love and awakening. This is art.
Why did Sydney open the door for Dre in a towel?? That was my thought the first time I saw the movie.
“And where did Troy come from” I tickled 😂
Love these reviews!! Love & Basketball and Acrimony please!!!!!
Literally one of my favs! I love me some Sanaa! I hope Disappearing Acts is in the works one of these days 👀
Yea I know she gonna go IN on that movie I really hope that’s next
Hell nah! I hope that movie gets banned in the US eventually lol traumatic af.
@@WilliamsPinch I agree that she will roast the hell out of that movie and the book
That scene at the table is my favorite 😂😂
"I hope they go double copper" LMAOOOOO
I absolutely LOVE this movie, I've seen it a million times & still watch it every now & then. I love me some Sanna chile & Mos Def is pure eye candy. 🤗
The way you feel about "Brown Sugar" is the same way I feel about it because the scene where Dre and Sidney rhyme Common's "I Used To Love Her" is my favorite plus I feel like it's a film I could never get tired of.
I guess the next review is : Just wright
About Time!!!👏👏 Another Childhood Classic And Another Dope Review 🔥🔥.
"Brown Sugar" One of my Childhood Favorite Movies 🎥🍿.
Dope Classic/Cast:
Sanaa Lathan
Taye Diggs
Queen Latifah
Mos Def
Boris Kodjoe
Nicole Ari Parker
My thoughts on the Movie 🎥:
Dre and Sidney Were Both Successful, Musically Inclined People who Meant Well, just was Caught up in their Childhood Feelings for One Another.
Boris and Nicole Were Not Their Type because Reese was Not Supportive of his Dreams/Career, and Kelvin was not Supportive of Syd's Dream/Career.
It's still funny how Dre said,
"We're going to Celebrate My Divorce" 🤣.
In Conclusion, I Love this Classic Movie 🎥 and I love your Reviews Keep it up Queen.

FUN FACT: Taye Diggs & Mos Def are
Half Brothers 😅
heavy on breakin all the rules no one ever discusses it!
slayed as always the 00s and 90s blk rom coms were everything!
Why am I just now realizing that you haven't done a lot of movies, but you've done a lot of movie!? I can't to hear your thoughts on Love and Basketball!
Although I hadn't seen "Brown Sugar" when it came out in 2002, I naturally knew that Sydney was in love with Dre especially being that they've been friends since childhood but what's crazy and unfair to me is that his wife Reese wasn't loving or supportive towards his dreams of starting the label nor did Kelby know her too well plus that track was straight garbage plus Sydney was the only one who was encouraging towards Dre when it came to his dreams of the label.
Girl I hate how “double entenDRE 😂 🌽 “ made me laugh 💀💀💀 pls be serious
My brother played this so much I hated this movie but I think I miss it. I’m watching tonight
"double copper" HOLLERING!!!!
Francine is me asf 😂
This is one of my most favorite movies!!
Love your reviews as always! The next film is giving Just Wright with Queen Latifah and Common!
this was one of my favorite movies as a kid but maybe I shouldn’t of been watching it lol. I still have the original dvd and it works that my mom got when it first came out lol.
Loved all of the actors in this.
Also I’ve been catching up on your videos so I feel like some of this editing and pop ups you’re adding is new 😂 I love it , reminds me of something from mtv. Keep grinding ❤❤❤❤❤❤
lol your commentary is so funny. Love your videos!
