I’ve always felt Sheila and Troy moved too fast. Sheila was still healing and Troy may have been lonely and the “rescuer”. They should’ve taken more time to date before marriage.
I think it has a lot to do with Christian sentiments of not dating but courting with intention of marrying so as to avoid ‘living in sin’. So yeah Sheila definitely needed more time to heal but at the end of the day, the religion which they both participate in required them to be official before they could properly explore their relationship.
I don’t think it’s all about faith. Yes, some Christians marry after a few months; others marry after years. For Sheila and Troy, I think they moved too fast after trauma bonding.
Yeah so when they girls show concern that was also real. Which is partially why at the end when she starts hitting herself in the head and it’s almost too shocking for everyone to react immediately I’ve always wondered exactly when it was filmed as she’s in a heightened state of emotion there as well. Idk there’s a lot especially with the phrases she says during both scenes and the self deprivation of it all
Sheila left a toxic relationship and should’ve been by herself for a while before getting married again especially so soon. Tyler perry wanted to portray that troy had insecurities but depicted that sheila just didn’t know how to be a good wife, not that it’s entirely her fault. However, sometimes troy’s “insecurities” made sense, for example, why the hell would you tell the group knowing mike was there that yall are having financial problems.
He was wrong for draining all the money from the accounts and burning the baby pictures. And dousing her with alcohol if I’m remembering the scene correctly
@@yageshabazz3456I agree he was wrong as well, however he acted that way in response to her actions. I never been married but I can’t imagine having that kind of betrayal by Patricia. Gavin wasn’t perfect but he stuck by her through thick and thin, and enabled her facade of a perfect couple. Meanwhile, Patricia didn’t wanna discuss their problems but avoid them, thus divorce was her way of “starting anew”. Essentially, she was saying that Gavin and the marriage were holding her back from happiness which was cold and wrong
@@blackrabbit1580 i know you’re not condoning his actions. But in my opinion, I truly think that’s small in comparison to what he did. Divorce is devastating I get it, but burning the last memories they had of their baby? I mean come on. She was running away from it, but to go that far is irredeemable.
Tyler Perry made Angela go overly crazy. In the first one you at least got the sense she had a reason to be angry and she showed that she was a good friend and was real with people. In this one he flanderized her and now she's plain psycothic.
Was she overly crazy in this one? In the first movie Angela also cheated on Marcus, gave him an STD, verbally abused him all the time about not having a job despite his money being part of the reason she has her salon and hair care line etc etc. I think she was just as overly crazy the only difference being Marcus actually WAS doing wrong in the first movie but in this movie, he doesn’t actually do anything and could even be considered a better man while Angela is still the same.
It's accurate tho, because once you decide to stay with someone who lies and cheats, you can't believe anything they say and they'll make you DOUBLE crazy... I've seen it play out
If I remember correctly, I think Janet's brother passed away while she was filming. They had to stop production so she could go to Michael's funeral and check on his kids. I wouldn't be surprised if she channeled some of her grief into her acting.
@@trxphywaifalt Girl bye, you knew what they were saying. Everyone knows Michael is the only sibling that passed in the Jackson family during this time. They even said his name in the original post. Please calm down.
My thoughts 1. Who the hell moves to another state with NO job? Sheila and Troy must've had over a million saved up. 2. I'm really shocked that Terry and Diane didn't divorce. After all, he was ready to in the first movie when she was working too much. Yet, her almost cheating with another man didn't do anything?
Sheila and Troy will definitely work things out, but Troy's yelling and standoffish behavior triggered her. Asking Mike for a job referral wasn't wrong, especially considering his willingness, given his remorseful state. However, her continued communication with him is puzzling. When he had joined the trip, she would've left immediately, Troy and Shelia might be good for each other, but therapy is essential. Troy's pride in handling financial struggles hindered them so much. Moving in with a friend temporarily or seeking assistance could have been options. Their relationship issues, while typical, could be worked out. Other couples might need a divorce, Janet Jackson's character needs introspection, having unintentionally caused harm to two people.
After you basically predicate the marriage continuing on the wife having a kid... divorce is imminent. Of course she acting out smh. They need a divorce 100 percent.
Tyler Perry always play the perfect husband with a problematic wife who’s either a drug addict or workaholic. Terry showed his narcissistic ways, Diane was having an emotional affair, Gavin & Patty were no longer able to keep up their facade, Patty should have never showed up to Gavin’s job humiliating him. Marcus had a study job & Angela couldn’t handle the attention that came with it, the reason why Troy didn’t want the group in their business was because he had a front row seat to how messy they were in the first movie & where was Trina when Mike was going through treatment? Sheila pulled a Bird from Soul Food & didn’t learn not to go behind your husband’s back to out of all people your ex to get your husband a job. I noticed that a lot of Tyler Perry’s movies are inspired by Waiting To Exhale & Soul Food. Next week’s review is Dreamgirls.
I think she wanted to be married, but didn’t want children. Throughout both movies, I’ve gotten a sense that Terry was heavily pressuring her to have kids, which she clearly didn’t want but he couldn’t take no for an answer
He pressured her so much that she got her tubes tied in the first then he was so mad at her that she felt that getting them untied and getting pregnant would make it up to him
The scene when Patricia started destorying everything was Janet's real emotions coming out as she was still grieving Michael's passing. The hurt from losing him was still very fresh and Tyler told her to just let it out and that she did.
I always commend her for giving us a look into the rawness of her pain. Like that was PERSONAL. That’s why I felt like it was messed up for TP to write her character losing her husband so tragically …. Like she just lost her brother and you want to use her trauma to make the scenes real by digging it up? I mean.. Maybe it was helpful. I don’t know…
Tbh I don’t think they made her any worse than she was in the first movie, I just think that Marcus actually WAS doing wrong in the first movie so we understand her a bit but in this second movie Angela remains the same while Marcus doesn’t do anything wrong. I personally think she’s acting the same.
I am so happy that you pointed out how the men never called Mike out for his BULLSHXT. Also, I hollered when you told Diane “Girl, Ima need you to lie better than that. 😂😂😂😂
Because many men do that with their abusive deadbeat friends. It’s disturbing because real friends check their friends when they’re out of order and acting crazy. Angela was the only friend from both sides willing to do that
Sheila and Troy will definitely work things out, but Troy's yelling and standoffish behavior triggered her., Troy and Shelia might be good for each other, but therapy is essential. It felt like like once Pat and Gavin's child died their marriage did as well.I understand why Troy acted the way he did cause he is a prideful man.Angela is a person who means well but is also controlling.Terry and Diane's marriage is missing something.
@@jordanscott9988or want kids….. they difference in treatment between the kids was always so blatant to me and weird it and many other things weren’t addressed within the various dynamics of these couples.

Angela and Marcus are still two people who clearly shouldn’t be together but yet they are because Tyler knows his toxic audience and decides to give them both a SITCOM???? WTF??
Yeah . Apparently a series was made for BET (and later Syndication) called Tyler Perry’s For Better Or Worse . And it’s centered around Marcus and Angela . And there’s a reason why it was cancelled
Why are you calling his audience “toxic?” These are fictional characters, and yes I love drama. I don’t watch movies or tv shows that don’t have drama because that’s not entertaining to me. People are able to keep entertainment and real life separated.
@@FunFactswithAmani Right around Janet was filming this movie, Michael passed away. So when it came time to film this scene, Tyler told Janet to use all of the anger/pain she had over losing her brother when she smashed everything in the house
Mike hitting Sheila was indication of Tyler Perry bad writing. It was no hint in the first movie that Mike was physically abusive. Tyler Perry just being Tyler Perry as usual making dark skin black men the super villain in his movie
This makes me speculate about the friend group too. If they had known about that physical abusive on top of the insults & infidelity, it makes look so much worse. But I imagine the physical abuse was just inserted by Tyler Perry just to make Mike more horrible.
@@JunAlex86 yeah these people was like in there early 40’s in the first movie. So you telling me Mike was beating her for 20 years and nobody said nothing
I remember Janet going into an interview and the interviewer brought up Micheal's death and asked if the emotions of his passing was what she used to do those scenes. As a kid, I didn't think much of it, as an adult, I have to question that interviewer. Also, I feel like Tyler didn't have any idea on what to do with Angela’, because being mad over something that was fixed makes no sense to me. I think he just wanted her to be the angry black woman
Am I the only one that noticed Troy was a Wall Street genius who turned sheriff in the first movie. He was able to donate a million dollars, but then in the second movie, he is broke. I guess TP forgot he showed us that part. Did I see that wrong?
If I was Troy I would’ve told her No to leaving Colorado where he had a job & a house. He could’ve just moved her mom up there. Another thing forget her fake friends!!! well Angela can get yearly visits
My thoughts exactly like the video said i get him being uncomfortable talking about this financial struggle in front of Shila's friend, but he was doing to much and i can see why Shila was feeling insecure. I can't deal with a prideful man get mad at me for his insecurity, he should have made sure he was his money was right before agree to go on vacation if he was going to whine about it the whole trip and Sheila should have not pressured him into agreeing to it.
From a guys perspective, Sheila really shouldn't have mentioned anything about their financial situation period, unless it's close family then don't. But he was doing afterwards was childish, yes they aren't your friends and you're new so play it cool and keep everything close to the chest, composure for the sake of your lady who is trying to have fun with her people
I don't like how Tyler retconned Gavin and Mike. Mike was evil enough without being physically abusive. Tyler over-did it and it hurt the story. Shelia woulda told her friends if Mike was beating her. Gavin was over-the-top cruel. I don't buy him burning their baby's pictures. That's too much. I think they agreed to divorce but he didn't want her to tell everyone right then and there
Thankyou !!!! But you have a bunch of women giving Gavin a pass in the comment section. Yeah let’s hold Patrica accountable and see her faults but that makes it okay what Gavin did to her ? Hit her , burn the baby books , forced himself on her and drained the bank account…… he got his karma . It wasn’t Patrica .
I agree, but I think it was bad writing by Tyler to make Gavin soooo evil out of nowhere. I don't think in real life he could have burned those baby pictures, and acting "rapey", that's not who he is/was.But Tyler needed him to be a monster to "further" Patricia's character. Same with Mike--he was already an asshole, but now we're told he was beating Shelia too?!? The same Shelia who walloped him with a wine bottle like it was nothin? Just bad, inconsistent writing in vol. 2.@@ItsNaeBihhh.Daaah6
100%. I understand the intense Janet Jackson scenes helped her get the devastation of Michael Jackson's passing out. I feel for her. It just feels like everything else is cranked up to 1000 for true melodramatic abusive Tyler Perry fashion.
What always got me about WDIGM is how Sheila always seems to reference how a trip can help her marriage. She said that in the first movie when really she needed to realize Mike was a terrible person and no trip was gonna help. Maybe counseling or not spending money she and Troy don't have (their last) would help. Troy is upset by not having a source of income yet she thinks they need to spend money? I also want to know what Diane's career is like now after giving Terry what he wanted, their son. I also wonder if she had the child by choice or request. How did she go from being top in her firm and defending teens against capital murder to being a divorce attorney for Pat while Gavin is being defended by Phil (her alleged side boo)? Also, did no one get money from Pat for being subjects in her book? Those trips should be free at this point. The movie also showed me how trash the friends still are, especially the men gossiping about Troy not talking to Mike.

Can we PLEASE give Janet her flowers for this movie because the pain she feels during the break in scene & the stairs scene was 1000% real due to our king's passing. She found out while she was filming & she was no longer acting. I cry right along with her every single time i see this movie & i can't imagine working under that tragedy. And her breaking those golf clubs along with the guys expressions was 100% real. She broke four of them y'all... four iron rods! Then she had to perform 'Scream' at the 09 VMA's with an image of him on the screen after this... Hunny, She will forever have my admiration as an actress. Thank you Janet, i love you. 🩵💯
Who really should have taken Mike to chemo were Marcus, Gavin, or Terry. Those are supposed to be his friends. With friends like them who need enemies 🙄. Great video, btw.
But he didn’t tell them he had cancer so they couldn’t offer to do something they didn’t know about. I think he just wanted to be babied by Shelia and prove that she would still be open to taking care of him. That was a power play that she fell right into.
What's crazy is how many people liked this comment 😂😂 just agreeing for the sake of agreeing...Like the other comments said, they knew nothing abt his cancer
I hate that Angela never got called out for embarrassing Marcus on national TV, after the misunderstanding. Marcus should have divorced after that behavior. Totally unacceptable. And if the roles were reversed, Marcus would be abusive and called out for it.
@@HinataUchiha_22 I hear your point about ratings, Hinata. Their relationship was just beyond toxic. Made me keep wondering, why are they still married?! And the double standards often seen between dysfunctional men and dysfunctional women in relationships. Females can be just as destructive as males. And I'm saying this as a female. With Tasha, it's all played for laughs, but it wouldn't be for Marcus. Do you get what I mean? It's one of those pop culture tropes/cliches that annoy me or I hate.
I just rewatched it. 22:12 I got really uncomfortable watching Gavin attack Patricia. He infuriated me. He burned their only baby pictures... didn't even act remorseful or apologize or nothing.
I understand but I think there was more behind him doing that. As in there have been things going on behind the scenes for a while that they’ve kept hidden from their friends. The fact that Patricia was a therapist and refused to deal with her emotions and he husband’s most definitely put a strain on their relationship. Gavin was willing to work things out, he wanted to. But she did not because she was consumed by guilt. In turn that caused Gavin to drink and when you’re drunk you can act out of character fueled on emotions and alcohol. Him putting his hands on her wasn’t right at all, but I think the emotional abuse Patricia put him through isn’t recognized enough. She was emotionally manipulative to him, and she knew she was doing that because she is a therapist. She knows how emotions work and how to get a certain emotional response from people.
@@blkpeppr I actually don't see how she was emotionally abusive to Gavin at all. And I've rewatched this movie at least over a dozen times. But we did for certain see him scream at her, pin her down, poor alcohol on her and tons of other stuff in that scene.
@@starcherry6814 She was emotionally abusive by choosing to ignore his feelings regarding their son’s death. Patricia being a therapist knows that doing that is harmful to people. Her job is to know how to navigate emotional situations and then teach others how to do it. So her deciding to ignore talking about the situation leads to her ignoring his feelings and not acknowledging them at all, causes Gavin to suppress his emotions because she is a brick wall about the subject and that makes them emotionally distant from each other. When it comes to grief in this particular instance, them talking about their feelings is an integral part of keeping their relationship together and healthy. Without it you’re going to grow distant and we saw happen. The point is that Patricia is aware of the impact of her actions on Gavin’s emotional state, she knows the harm she is causing him. Yet still chooses to do it so that she doesn’t have to face her feelings regarding the situation either. I’m pretty sure it’s abusive to continue to do something that causes harm to someone else. I hope this help your understand and in no way am I being condescending or snarky.
@@blkpeppr I disagree. I think TP just wanted to break them up because he wanted more drama. Just like he did all the other couples, no character growth. Patricia and Gavin worked out grieving over their son's death in the first movie. It doesn't make sense to make Gavin abusive, and there's no scene in either of movies of Patricia being emotionally abusive towards Gavin. Her walking away while Gavin yells at her about their failing marriage in public is not emotional abuse; Gavin was mad that he's being divorced and she's taking most of the money. It's only ever implied via dialogue Patrica was emotionally unavailable but we never see it. And thats considered one of the worst movie crimes, good directors know how to "show, don't tell" And because of that I will not believe Patricia was emotionally abusive towards Gavin until TP does some better writing.
I always hated this sequel. It’s like TP can never let Black couples be happy and secure in healthy relationships. Like you made Troy, of all the men, insecure and not understanding over that man??
I had the movie on DVD because our blockbuster was closing down and the scene where Gavin died my mouth was agape because it seemed like out of the blue 😂😂
I watched this movie again as an adult and I found out phill ( the guy Diane was seeing ) it was Gavin attorney . He was telling Gavin about the hidden account Patrica had..
I know that scene was supposed to be really serious and sad, but Patricia walking up behind Terry and Marcus and scaring the literal soul out of them was freaking harous!
Idk what the deal is with TP having ex wives “help” their abusive ex husband, but this is exactly the “forgiveness” trope we need to let go. Mike clearly ain’t ish so bad not even his family wants to help him. Sheila has successful friends, none of them were able to give a good word out for Troy? I know they trying do it on their own but c‘mon. Angela doubling-down and amping up her behavior is toxic and ruined any character progression she had in the previous movie. I agree they mind as well divorce, they’re never happy unless having sex. Nutty buddies. 🤷🏾♀️ Diane and TP’s relationship always felt hollow to me. If their marriage is at a point where emotionally cheating is happening, that means there’s something deeper lacking. Either way, I agree they needed to be divorce. I think Diane was supposed to symbolize “the career-driven” women who prioritizes their career over creating a larger family. At the end of the day, you can’t force a baby onto somebody and get a good outcome. 🤷🏾♀️ Parents who loose their children due to death tend to divorce one another. TP could’ve done a lot better with that storyline and topic.
You’re right?! I hated the end of that one movie when the daughter forgave her mom for practically letting her get raped as a child. Like Tyler in what world would that happen? 😂 the mother did nothing to earn her forgiveness and she should’ve been in jail tbh.
Everybody (but Terry ofc) looked bad in this movie…Mike is Mike but Sheila taking care of him is hilarious considering how he did her. Marcus actually wasn’t bad but Angela stays with the drama but I get they both cheated before so trust issues there. Diane was a cheater but honestly putting up with terrys mess I don’t blame her. Gavin was poorly written and 180d from the first movie, Patricia made sense since signs of her holding too much in was showing in the first movie and she just finally cracked here . Also they did Troy dirty with the writing too.
I think having Shelia help him kind of goes back to the play version. I think in the play version Shelia went back to Mike. I know in the play version of Diary of a Mad Black Woman she took her husband back.
I don't see where how she took him out. He's the one who didn't look before driving into the intersection. No matter how angry people can make you, you're still responsible for your own actions.
@@devilovesdevil Well put it like this Gavin was angry and angry ppl aren’t fully aware of their surroundings fully when driving and he was trying to get away from the cause of the anger (Pat) but she refused so… she does hold a heavy responsibility in his death.
@@j.t.7671He was angry. When you angry you don’t think straight. But she was the one antagonizing him. She came to his job with a drag queen pissing him off
Hold the phone. I know Mike was verbally ab*sive (and that's horrible) but I didn't recall him being physically ab*sive, too. If that's the case and his boys knew about it and STILL let him come around and disrupt Sheila's peace? Jail and hell, all of them. 😐
You could’ve bought Shelia for a dollar when she opened them double doors & saw Troy standing there. Genuine terror right there all she could do was start crying. I love how real Jill Scott made it feel 😂💞.
EVERYBODY in this movie pissed me off. Patricia and JC from New York Undercover (idk gavin ☠️) both were the messiest ones in this movie. Sheila probably should’ve gotten help and Mike should’ve DIED. Ter-madea reaped what he sowed (that joke with the twins karma came back around) and Angela was a complete dummy in this movie. rip to 07 angela bob (she was a real one).
The scene where janet ripped that house up, she had just found out michael passed and they let het go bonkers to release the pain. That changed the way i saw that scene forever
Fun fact: the scene where Janet was tearing up the house when they filmed that scene it was right after she found out about her brothers death those were her actual emotions apparently this is what I heard production let her tear the house up to cope with her brothers death
I don't hate this movie, but I loved the first "Why Did I Get Married" 10 times more than the sequel. I hated how they changed Troy and Gavin's characters, and it always irked me that this installment is supposed to take place about a year or two (three at the most) after the first movie, but yet Terry and Diane's son appears to be about four or five years old! What? The best things about this movie were Marcus and Angela (still toxic as all hell, but still hilarious), Janet's killer performance, and Rock's cameo at the end (I love me some Rock...I just wish they showed that coffee date). Either way, your commentary was fire, as usual. Great job. ❤
Let’s not excuse Diane being an unfaithful person, regardless of how terry was, had it been the man, ya wouldn’t look for excuses for why he cheated lol
just like u found a way to disagree with Diane’s emotional affair, there’s gonna be someone to defend Terry had it been the other way around. It’s all about perspective. I hate when y’all act like things are so black & white
One interesting perspective I have about Sheila going to her ex is that imagine how much her pride was affected during that moment? Troy’s pride isn’t the only one that’s impacted here. This man has physically and verbally abused her and here she is asking him for help. She probably thought that she’d never even speak to this man again. So if she’s willing to go that low just to bring her husband back up high, she is super dedicated. Still a risky move though
It’s funny how Terry was the only one who didn’t have any problems, but everyone else did. I also liked your commentary about the end because I said “run” at the rock when I first saw this movie too 😂
Terry finds out Diane is cheating with a guy named Phil, also Terry learns that Diane had her tubes tide and he also had to do a paternity test on his son as he wasn't sure if the child was really his. I would say Terry is the one with really BIG problems, because he is in a BAD marriage with a woman who cheats and lies and unhappy with him clearly. They should be the ones divorcing. Terry is a passive ignorant man.
Yeah, this movie series was really good. I agree with you, only sheila & Troy should stay together. The rest need to sign the papers & move on. Just toxic. However, Janet did the damn thang with the acting in this movie!! 🤩🤩 I was all emotional & ish with Patricia and Gavin’s divorce, that was A LOT! 🥺 But I chuckled when you put in the Supa cent “Louis” snippet. That took me out! 😂😂😂😂 Thank you for another great review! ❤❤❤
26:40 Time Stamp ---- some people say it was Mike passing away that had Janet *this crazy* - However? The storyline was based on her real life divorce. Her former Dance Choreographer, a Mexican guy named Renee...tried to get like 75% of her income when he filed for divorce. Ninja wanted to be "kept" and taken care of. She was so angered by that she almost had a mental breakdown. Tyler Perry said they were all really scared in this moment and it was NOT acting. He asked her to take some time off and told her the story line was triggering her too much.
Diane was emotionally done with the marriage knowing that Terry doesn't give a damn about her, and feels it's best to give him a son to shut him up. Not to defend her, but Terry practically pushed Diane to lean on Phil. Like you said, she was two seconds away from physical cheating. But Terry won't change, they might as well end it.
I think what always rubs me wrong is this movie just lets Mike get away with EVERYTHING. As if him not getting called out for what he did at the dinner scene wasnt bad enough, the movie makes it a point to make him worse than we knew him to be in the first one by saying he was also physically abusive to Sheila. To have her "take care of him" cuz he's sick be her arc is so disrespectful to actual victims of domestic violence watching this movie and it just completely sucks
It was soul food not waiting to exhale 😭 also there could be a possibility that Troy doesn’t trust how they’ll act especially being that one of his first impressions from them was MESSY ASSFFF
I don’t understand why they made Patricia this way. I mean I do… because she needed flaws and to be humbled slightly but was this the way? Her to not strap her son in, him die and the guilt eat her alive. Then to descend into drinking and depression until the confrontation for nothing, and him end up dying the exact same fate - a car crash. The fact she was even able to recover from that was wild. Her husband had to die for her to heal? But also she had to go through all that?
This movie just proves to me that Terry really wanted to paint black women in a bad light. No one pecked he always ends up being the wrong character when he's in his own projects?
The way the men (excluding Troy) don’t really check Mike is wild. However, what I’ve gathered is this group of men are, as a unit, not that great anyway so it tracks they just laugh and keep kicking it with him.
BINGO. That the very first thing I said the FIRST movie. Yeah,. I know it’s a lovie, but if my homeboy started telling all my business I told him in good faith where my wife can here it, I’m too old to just throw hands over that, but he would have gotten no words. And, depending on what I told him, old or not, I might have had to throw hands. In the second movie, sure, Mike can show up if he wants to, but I can tell you I wouldn’t have said a word to him. And if my other homies were going to be chuckling it up with him, I guess my wife and I would just be doing our own thing the whole time.
I could have done without the perfect patty story line. Sheila stay acting gullible. Diane is not attracted to Madea. I love Angela and Marcus, just not together.
Is it wrong for me to wish Patricia did not get the Dwayne the rock johnson happy ending? I understand her and her husband not working out, but if it weren’t for her provoking him and following him to the point he felt unsafe, he wouldn’t have drove off and wound up in an accident. Also, never drive angrily. I don’t want her to suffer, but her ending felt like the dude didn’t die and she didn’t grieve, so to speak.
She didn’t “provoke” him. He was the one who chose to drive and didn’t look both ways before speeding off. His death is his fault. She only did that after he tried to take all of her money in the divorce and physically assaulted her while drunk.

Not so fun fact: Michael Jackson passed during the filming of this movie so Janet's pain and anger in that confrontation scene was all real.
I didn’t know this fact.
Makes the movie and her acting even more enjoyable.
I didn't know that. But I could tell that it was coming from a real place inside her.
Yeah they postponed a lot due to his passing. Tyler Perry told Janet to let loose on the set and boy did she ever !
I was gonna comment that too. This movie was filmed during a really hard time for Janet 😢
Yeah so when they girls show concern that was also real. Which is partially why at the end when she starts hitting herself in the head and it’s almost too shocking for everyone to react immediately I’ve always wondered exactly when it was filmed as she’s in a heightened state of emotion there as well. Idk there’s a lot especially with the phrases she says during both scenes and the self deprivation of it all
they made angela even more insecure and combative ugh hate TP constantly riding this trope

So true. Especially since Troy had compromised with her by uprooting his store and job so that she could be closer to friends and family.

I will say Patricia was dead wrong for randomly saying they getting a divorce if they didn't even discuss it
And for showing up to Gavin's job especially with a "Drag Queen" 👑 🤣🤣
He was wrong for draining all the money from the accounts and burning the baby pictures. And dousing her with alcohol if I’m remembering the scene correctly
@@yageshabazz3456omg! You’re so right! I forgot about all of that
@@yageshabazz3456I agree he was wrong as well, however he acted that way in response to her actions.
Tyler Perry made Angela go overly crazy. In the first one you at least got the sense she had a reason to be angry and she showed that she was a good friend and was real with people. In this one he flanderized her and now she's plain psycothic.
Agreed
Was she overly crazy in this one? In the first movie Angela also cheated on Marcus, gave him an STD, verbally abused him all the time about not having a job despite his money being part of the reason she has her salon and hair care line etc etc.
I think she was just as overly crazy the only difference being Marcus actually WAS doing wrong in the first movie but in this movie, he doesn’t actually do anything and could even be considered a better man while Angela is still the same.
Angela was even more crazier in For Better or For Worse.

Janet acted her ass off in this one. And I love her hair in this film. It had me rocking deep curly hair on the regular lol
Lowkey I noticed that after her emotions unraveled her hair was always down where when she was hiding them her hair was up
If I remember correctly, I think Janet's brother passed away while she was filming. They had to stop production so she could go to Michael's funeral and check on his kids. I wouldn't be surprised if she channeled some of her grief into her acting.

1. Who the hell moves to another state with NO job? Sheila and Troy must've had over a million saved up.
2. I'm really shocked that Terry and Diane didn't divorce. After all, he was ready to in the first movie when she was working too much. Yet, her almost cheating with another man didn't do anything?
They probably did get a divorce but Tyler ended the movie that we never get closure for the other characters
Sheila and Troy will definitely work things out, but Troy's yelling and standoffish behavior triggered her. Asking Mike for a job referral wasn't wrong, especially considering his willingness, given his remorseful state. However, her continued communication with him is puzzling. When he had joined the trip, she would've left immediately,
Troy and Shelia might be good for each other, but therapy is essential.
Troy's pride in handling financial struggles hindered them so much. Moving in with a friend temporarily or seeking assistance could have been options. @@gjjijjiI assume they divorced 😭😭
After you basically predicate the marriage continuing on the wife having a kid... divorce is imminent. Of course she acting out smh. They need a divorce 100 percent.
Terry as a character/husband pisses me off SOOO badly.
It ran for 6 seasons which is surprising
Why are you calling his audience “toxic?” These are fictional characters, and yes I love drama. I don’t watch movies or tv shows that don’t have drama because that’s not entertaining to me. People are able to keep entertainment and real life separated.

I got really uncomfortable watching Gavin attack Patricia.
And thats considered one of the worst movie crimes, good directors know how to "show, don't tell"
And because of that I will not believe Patricia was emotionally abusive towards Gavin until TP does some better writing.

Shelia and Troy absolutely got married too fast but I think that goes along with the Christian undertone Tyler’s adapted plays have.
I watched this movie again as an adult and I found out phill ( the guy Diane was seeing ) it was Gavin attorney . He was telling Gavin about the hidden account Patrica had..

Oop the lawyer was playing her for inside info???? 👀 Maybe you should be a better lawyer boo
Diane and TP’s relationship always felt hollow to me. 🤷🏾♀️
Parents who loose their children due to death tend to divorce one another. TP could’ve done a lot better with that storyline and topic.
for some reason i feel uncomfortable seeing type perry play a herero guy in a hereto relationship now after the whole

Putting up with what terry mess?
That’s funny how y’all just excuse women cheating lol all because she had to “ deal w terrys shit” 😂😂 smh
I think having Shelia help him kind of goes back to the play version. I think in the play version Shelia went back to Mike. I know in the play version of Diary of a Mad Black Woman she took her husband back.
@@PaperChaserLaHer cheating on Terry isn’t justified, but they sure as hell need a divorce
@@gjjijjihim pressuring her into having kids she didn't want.
I love how Patricia gets to unalive her husband and meets up with the Rock 1 yr later and we are suppose to cheer for this???
I don't see where how she took him out. He's the one who didn't look before driving into the intersection. No matter how angry people can make you, you're still responsible for your own actions.
@j.t.7671 agreed putting that on her is wrong, she shouldn't have done what she did but him not paying attention isn't her fault
She came to his job with a drag queen pissing him off
@@Sn_da_1st Yes. They tell you in driving school not to drive while emotional! I definitely can't blame him for that accident.
I love Janet’s performance in this film.
Hold the phone. I know Mike was verbally ab*sive (and that's horrible) but I didn't recall him being physically ab*sive, too. If that's the case and his boys knew about it and STILL let him come around and disrupt Sheila's peace? Jail and hell, all of them. 😐
Gavin to putting his hands on Patricia
You could’ve bought Shelia for a dollar when she opened them double doors & saw Troy standing there. Genuine terror right there all she could do was start crying. I love how real Jill Scott made it feel 😂💞.
Lol I was just re-watching this movie today! The ending scene where Patricia goes up to Gavin's job is hilariously outstanding! 🤣
OMG I miss her bob so much! It had so much body and shine. Just sheer perfection!
The scene where janet ripped that house up, she had just found out michael passed and they let het go bonkers to release the pain. That changed the way i saw that scene forever
Did you notice that Gavin’s attorney’s name was Phil 🌚
😮😮
Btw highly unethical. Gavin was getting done dirty
Fun Fact: Gavin’s lawyer is Phil….the man Diane was about to risk it for 😂😂😂
Oh he was fine af😂
@@D415h4n34 😂 fr I see why she was going nuts about him
Fun fact: the scene where Janet was tearing up the house when they filmed that scene it was right after she found out about her brothers death those were her actual emotions apparently this is what I heard production let her tear the house up to cope with her brothers death
When you asked “do you think she resents him?” It absolutely sent me. She did not want that baby
Great job. ❤
It was five years apart in the movie
Janet was aaaaaaacting in this film. She should’ve definitely won or been nominated for some major awards
Right?? Because she won an NAACP award for the first film but it was the second one that she truly shined in!
This definitely shows us all that we should take our time and make sure we are completely healed before jumping into a new relationship
Tyler Perry's walk 2:39 is giving 💅🏿
LMAOOO he need to just come out
Girl I love how you narrated this 😂❤ you always say what everybody thinking them couples were a mess smh lol
It’s crazy how both Cecily and Lou have passed now 🥺
Let’s not excuse Diane being an unfaithful person, regardless of how terry was, had it been the man, ya wouldn’t look for excuses for why he cheated lol
just like u found a way to disagree with Diane’s emotional affair, there’s gonna be someone to defend Terry had it been the other way around.
I think he did have a problem. He seems really controlling. I would say Gavin is the one without. Pat announcing the divorce started everything
@@sisiasian8781 no it was his daughter but still
@@Nevae_696 yes his daughter, thanks for that ❤️
Ms Jackson If Ya Nasty got one of the most undeserved happy ending in cinema history
Facts! I was mad when Rock popped up on that screen. 😂
Yeah, this movie series was really good. I agree with you, only sheila & Troy should stay together. The rest need to sign the papers & move on. Just toxic. However, Janet did the damn thang with the acting in this movie!! 🤩🤩
I was all emotional & ish with Patricia and Gavin’s divorce, that was A LOT! 🥺 But I chuckled when you put in the Supa cent “Louis” snippet. That took me out! 😂😂😂😂
Thank you for another great review!
The Troy and Sheila storyline always bugged me. Like why he switch up?
No one pecked he always ends up being the wrong character when he's in his own projects?
bird was definitely from Soul Food, not waiting to exhale lol
I know, I said it by mistake 😂
This movie was just too much for me 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
I'm cofused didn't marcus have a history of cheating? And that why Angela was doing the most?
Yup
He was cheating and she gave him VD from cheating as well….
The fact that all this was around Micheal’s passing
This movie was so full of drama it didn’t make any sense. Lord have mercy on my soul.
I didnt like what Gavin did to Patricia, throwing alcohol in her face, licking her like a devil. Im like where the hell did this come from?
Tyler wrote Gavin to go too far. Even for an emotionally grieving man it seems too much like a leap.
I hollered at “Sir, you need to run” 💀💀💀💀💀
I could have done without the perfect patty story line. Sheila stay acting gullible. Diane is not attracted to Madea. I love Angela and Marcus, just not together.
😂😂😂😂someone needed to say that out loud! their scenes especially intimate ones felt weird
@@adjoahossou454Who? Diane and Terry, or ...?
You should do Save the last dance
Oooh! Yes 🙌🏾
