    i love that the anteaters that eat ants actually don't have digestive acids in their stomachs. instead the ants release a acid when they get swallowed and paradoxically end up dissolving themselves

    This is a giant anteater with what they call Panda knees. They have evolved so their legs look like the head of a bear or a panda scare off potential predators. I was totally confused for like 5 minutes until I Google an image and saw another video that breaks down why it looks like this.

    Not panda heads, spectacled bear heads, there is a hypothesis that this is an evolutionarily derived trait that helps keep away predators. The spectacled bear can be found in the same habitat as the giant anteater and is related to the panda, although not all of them look like that, some do. When an anteater is being attacked it rears back on its legs and that makes "the bear" also rear back on its legs. The darker ventral parts also bring this illusion more into focus.

    You do awesome videos and deserve a lot more subscribers, but if I can make a suggestion, maybe you can add metric units for measurements (like in text or something)? It would make your videos a lot easier to understand for a lot of people IMO.

    The human tongue also has filiform papillas. It is the only one out of our four tongue papillas without tastebuds, and we use them to create friction between the tongue and the food bolus.

    Blue Death Feigning beetles! These guys are amazing pets but are not studied enough(if at all) and raising their larvae to adulthood is impossible because we don’t know what conditions they need for that to happen. They always die before they pupate!
