- Finland’s prime minister has lost her battle to stay in power after her centre-left Social Democratic party (SDP) was narrowly beaten into third place in a cliffhanger election by its conservative and far-right rivals.

Marin, 37, became the world’s youngest prime minister when she assumed the leadership of the SDP - and the Finnish premiership - in 2019 and has successfully led the country through the Covid pandemic and to the brink of Nato membership.

Putin in floods of tears as Finland joins NATO.

She is also known as the princess of Finland
When the Guardian corporate newspaper praises your policies you must be doing the WEFs bidding!
❤❤❤❤❤
Get used to it. You're getting 15 minute cities. And we're putting up vaccinated Charles Schwab statues in every one of those cities
Lol
Exactly.
I was in Finland one time in winter, I am still going to therapy classes to forget all the horrors I witnessed.
Did you meet Sanna Marin ? 😰
What horrors?

Please tell us
what do you mean what horror?@@rutvikrs
Cheated on her husband and divorced him after.
Goodbye witch. Thanks for democracy. Reminder to foreign people who are not aware of Finnish poltiics, Sanna Marin was NOT democratically chosen as a prime minister. The original prime minister stepped down during his term, and Sanna Marin got elected by her own party, not the voters to become the new prime minister.
thank you sir for pointing out that very relevant fact , the Guardian's so called ''journalists'' would never tell us that fact
@@chrisj9700 The candidate is important too. The people trusted Rinne, but as you can see they didnt trust Marin.
@@Essentially_Nobody Man, simpin' aint easy
Shame on the Finns for depriving us of a meme
It is embarrassing that a Finn makes a comment and has no idea whatsoever of how the political system works in Finland. Marin was elected by the parliament exactly the same way as every PM during the current Constitution.
Draw, win, forgive each other, take care of everyone, approach everyone, understand everyone, make everyone smile and be happy forever.
Don't forget, just do. Do it like it's never been done in the history of doing it.
🎉🎉🎉 Sanna Marin is incredible amazing Woman ❤❤❤
Amazing example of young, talented, progressive political leader, bravo, Finland👏
Amazing exaple of incompetent politician🤦🏼♂️
🤔
Interesting.
Both the Finnish female leader AND the New Zealand female leader voted out of office due to failed policies.
I guess being young, popular and a feminist are not qualities required to run a country.
😏
her party got more votes than before, so no one voted her off, green party, lefttists party and center party lost voters and those right wing parties got more of those voters than Marins party did and won.
Jacinda wasn’t voted out, she left politics.
Unfortunately decent people are not voted in by the majority. We have to put up with leaders rotten to the core. The majority of people are right wingers. That's democracy for you!
@@shanesimpson645 She was on course to be voted out. Jumped before being pushed.
@@rb1062 Had the same rating as the opposition if the polls done by right wing think tanks are to be believed. Had they been ahead, you may have a point.

Dancing intimately with a younger man that was not her husband!
Lets not blame her for that, she was on coke, its an easy mistake to make 😂
Nothing wrong with a world leader enjoying some fun dancing on Tiktok... Ferdinand Marcos Jr. of the Philippines played the saxophone and sung to Top Gun when he got invited to a senator's birthday party!
Thank you, PM Marin for bringing Finland to the NATO alliance!
Actually our president NIINISTÖ brought us to NATO. She was from the beginning against the NATO. She is a left wing politician. They lean more to east. 🤭
It isn't Marin who brought Finland to Nato. Our president Niinistö and the people wanted to join Nato, she was against it. She had to accept it, because of people's will to join Nato. The clory of join Nato doesn't belong to her.
There's nothing wrong with dancing, wrong is that she did practically nothing else that wasn't wrong. And when slightestly criticized, she victimised with crocodile tears and leftist media (both of the two large media companies in Finland) always portrayed like all the criticism was about her dancing or about her person, while most of the criticism was in fact about her disastrous politics.
Huge simping in the comments.
Spain in December will also elect sensible governance...
she right. She is a human she need joy. I like her
Can't wait for a man to use those lines, in office.
@@rutvikrs oh okay
Now she can go to all the parties she wants
Now she divorced her husband
I think the Finns are a bit too harsh with their politicians. She handled Covid like a boss, stood her ground against Putin despite sharing a large border with him and is environmentaly conscious. Now, they're willing to overlook all that because she spent too much. By the way, I hope it's only because of that because there is nothing, and I say nothing, wrong with partying a little.
Here in Canada, we would love to have a PM like that. Justin has made worse policies and has had way, way worse scandals, yet he still manages to get reelected.
If you're reading this, Sanna, could you move to Canada and get yourself elected PM here? We need you 😁
Wrong. It is not about Finns being too harsh on politicians, it is about Sanna Marin being too harsh on citizens. Yeah she handled Covid like a narcissistic boss, she almost ruined the nato process, did nothing to really "stand her ground against Putin" other than prehearsed cliche speeches, and pushed lots, lots, of disastrous politics. No-one could have cared less about her partying if she had made something right, and even in the prevailed situation, the critique about her partying was as miniscule as anything can be, but what made the thing more spectacular was her own attention-seeking victimization about the little critique, she was generally very arrogant on any criticism, and the leftist block media (both of the two biggest media companies in Finland are) portrayed *all* criticism on Marin (mostly about truly bad politics) as critique on her partying, misogynism, and all the other leftist strawmen, coveniently skipping all the unpleasant facts and downplaying the criticists, mostly with ad hominem attacks.
No, you don't need Sanna there, Justin is pretty much equal. If you really want though, you can come here, the Sanna's disasters are here to stay for very long, waiting for you to enjoy!
@@TheSimoc A rather typical rant of a Marin hater.
@@sampohonkala4195 No, a pretty accurate depiction of Marin. By labelling TheSimoc as a Marin hater you actually prove his point.
@@LePatron475 It is not difficult to convince another Marin hater.
@@sampohonkala4195 Critique doesn't equate hate. Just because I don't agree with Sanna Marin's ideology doesn't mean I hate her.

misogyny won
In a country where only 7 out of 9 political parties are lead by women and 3 most voted people were women. The second opposition party that beat Marin that came 2nd and has been most critical of her is lead by a woman but yeah misogyny won simply because we elected a man and didn't re elect our current Prime Minister just like almost every Prime Minister before her (Prime Ministers in Finland never get a second term) Must be so oppressive that a man can still be elected
Misogyny? The fact she was a woman was the only reason she stayed in power for as long as she did, with all her horrible politics.
she is my favorite leader.

People like to create “legends” and “myths” and prodigious politicians out of their ignorance of the reality.
This reality is hidden behind morality and justice: two modern illusions that are steering the human masses !

Does leading a country means to become a moot or nonhuman is she can not have a heart ? Does not possess the right to live to enjoy to be happy to express herself ? even if that would be inn her own house before her own family n freinds who watch her grow up all the way till taking the oath for the country.
Saddest part is it must have been the opposite. People should nd would have taken this revelation as a proud moment to see their leader came out to be as common as they themselves are full of life and energy carrying out her responsibility towards the nation while being normal & humble human when ever her personal space allows.
feed her carcass to my 2 cane corsos she looks like it would be tasty meat. thank you
She's one of the most popular politics in Europe
Then how come she was voted out? Clearly not that popular
@@sherpafan033 Because her party is not popular
Man, EU =/= Europe.
@@sherpafan033 actually she is popular, some 1 million followers in Instagram, no other PM from Finland has had the kind of following international as she has had. Plus in the elections she actually got 2nd most amount of votes out of all politicians in Finland, only behind the Finns party leader Riikka Purra (who is like the polar opposite of Marin and her SDP party)
So just because her party didnt get most support (and it actually too managed to get more votes/seats in parliament than in 2019 elections) doesnt mean she or her party are unpopular in Finland, just that the opposition parties that are leaning much more toward right were more popular
The most popular ones can be the most messed up too. Too many lies, drama and messed up politics here was too much for us!! She was blaming other parties of her own flaws. Hopefully we don't see her anymore here.
